While searching for a budget-friendly place to stay during my trip, I ended up in the Weehawken area, not in the city center. It was there, quite unexpectedly, that I found this incredible bakery. For the entire three days of my stay, it was our spot for breakfast and sweet treats.Each sandwich was a delight, bursting with fresh ingredients. The EGG SANDWICH CROISSANT, JAMBON BAGUETTE, and SMOKED SALMON CROISSANT were all outstanding. “Had their chicken sandwich on a whim as I was walking by the neighborhood. It was a simple sandwich with chicken chunks lettuce tomatoes onions and I think mayo. It was decent and the service was pretty good. The ladies there were very nice. It's a small little shop and I was able to use the bathroom which was very clean and had a lot of mirrors. I would definitely come back here to try some of their soups. I saw it was a soup special for lunch so I will be trying that out. I also saw a few customers eating the soup as I was waiting for my sandwich. It looked really hearty and delicious.“

“The overall look and atmosphere of The Las Chicas is modern, clean, and inviting with cool art hanging on the walls. The service from the staff was inviting. I wish I could tell you what I had but my wife who speaks Spanish placed the order however the food was excellent and the juice was just as good. We paid under $20 for two people!! Highly recommended“
“This place has delicious everything. I also get the meat pastry I guess I'd say a sweet meat empanadas. So awesome they put this honey glaze on a lot of there stuff it's so good. The bread is super good and soft great for a snack or with your coffee. If u wanna go more desert the pastelito I think it's call with queso and guava it's like a light flaky danish . I like giving all places a try and I'm really glad I stopped in here. Exactly what I needed thinking even coming back and gettin a bunch of stuff for family Christmas shoot maybe New Years too.“
“I have wanted to visit the Sweets & Cafe Bakery for a long time. It is a few blocks away from my dentist, and I finally had the opportunity to visit last Friday, March 8, 2024. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.“
