Placing our order over the phone was a breeze - the woman on the line guided us to select a number of rolls and sashimi and even gave us a few recommendations that ended up being solid picks. There was a wait of around forty minutes for our platters, but the resulting dishes were gorgeous, and most importantly, tasty.The folks here are as nice as can be and while we placed a to-go order, it seems like a postprandial froyo might be a great perk of dining in. As an added plus, there is a sweet $30 discount that is applied to all orders above $150, which is a fantastic deal if you're placing a large order.“

Tap water also wasn't my favorite but don't let that prevent you from getting this great sushi. Although we couldn't have any of the sauces that came with the rolls since they had gluten, they did have GF soy sauce which was great. The server didn't have much personality and we did have to reconfirm what sauces had gluten and which didn't and had to ask for a second GF soy sauce as well even though in the beginning we did say there are two of us. Pretty empty at 5pm on a Sunday and plenty of free parking (on Sundays) around the corner.“

Their restaurant is decorated with plaques for best sushi, best sashimi, and even the best restaurant in Bloomfield.Having tried their Godzilla Roll, I'm inclined to agree. Their entire menu of chef's specials is filled with both familiar and unique rolls. The Godzilla Roll immediately stood out with an assortment of fish, including deep-fried tuna. It was a great mouthful and exceptional taste.The Dirty Roll was also quite good. Lots of elements complimenting each other. I think for some folks, there may be too much going on, and the flavors can be lost, but I appreciated how everything came together. Very yummy.I was drawn to the presentation of their grilled squid, but the taste didn't wow me as much. A simple salt and pepper squid served with soy sauce. Good portion, and not bad, but I think I'll stick with the sushi at Wabi Sabi.I always appreciate an attentive staff, but at some point, it started to feel like I had 3 people at my table and not just the 2 lol...Overall, I enjoyed my visit. One of our servers also shared their insight into the baby yellowtail sushi that we ordered, in comparison to regular yellowtail sushi, which I appreciated. Thanks for the food!“
“This is my go to sushi spot outside of traveling to NYC. For reference, I just went into NYC last weekend to a place for omakase, have brewed my own sake, and have traveled and tried plenty of sushi places (far more expensive) via the company credit card. The fish quality here is easily on par with most places 50% more expensive. The "dinner for two" style options are a good deal and it is BYOB if you want to bring wine or sake (which I do generally when I go). The service is incredibly friendly, actually even as an introvert I am tempted to try to strike up a conversation with Mr. Bin as he seems like a cool guy, perhaps next time I will offer him a drink. Anyway, long story short, this is the best sushi spot in the area and is worth going to 100% if you are feeling sushi. Only demerit is they should be more clear on what comes with a salad as I've ordered a second salad before, and that they always offer the oysters which IMO sound expensive (I get 1$ fresh oysters when I'm in florida). But overall this is a solid five star suggestion for sushi in the area.“
“My sister and I decided last minute to go out to dinner and we landed at Toro Sushi. I actually used Google assistant to call the restaurant for me and reserve a table 15 minutes before our arrival. Toro was half full when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday but, by 8pm it was full so, our timing was perfect. Everything we ordered was excellent... edamame, tuna avocado salad, Congo roll, New York roll, tuna roll and salmon roll. Service was wonderful. We weren't rushed and food came out quickly. “A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. Something a really upscale place would have!“

The tea, ramen, and kimchi were really good! It wasn't super salty, like other ramen places. This food tastes homemade and unique. They also honor your requests - like for an extra couple dollars you can order extra chicken and they really give you EXTRA chicken (I mean look at the pic). I also asked for hot sauce on the side and I wish I would've taken a pic of how much they gave me. They were like oh you want hot sauce??? YOU GOT IT. Hot sauce for days. As for the food, it's exactly what you'd expect from one of these spots. Flavorful, juicy teriyaki chicken with some nice veggies on the side. The rice always tastes fresh and the portion is perfect. “This is probably one of the best sushi places I've been too. They have lots of vegetarian options! The place has a nice Japanese feel. It also has ample parking in the back. It's byob and there's a wine store literally 1 block away. As for what we got. Unfortunately they don't have the lunch menu on the weekends but that is no where written in there menu. We got the vegetarian tempura. It came with different fried vegetables like broccoli, mushroom and onion. It was ok. We ordered 4 rolls and I will present them in order of my favorite. The mango potato was the best. I loved the sauce and the texture of the fried sweet potato. Next was the pineapple. I loved the sweetness without any needed added sauce to top it. Then was the bugs bunny. It has lots of veggies and a nice Chipotle sauce on top. My least favorite was the Nori jade. I felt the Avocado was too mushy. “My daughter ordered from Millburn Poke Bowl today for delivery. The food arrived quickly. I had the sushi burrito....what great value for the money. The presentation is attractive; the burrito was packed in a lidded box that almost looked like a gift. It was packed full of vegetables and rice with very generous amounts of spicy and ahi tuna. They added just the right amount of dressing/sauce. I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. I would highly recommend Millburn Poke Bowl if you want delicious, fresh ingredients and a very generous amount of them.“

So, a nice place to get vegan sushi in Cranford.And if you go to NYC, I super highly recommend Beyond Sushi, a fully vegan restaurant offering “gourmet” sushi experience.
