“Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.“

“This pizza place is a true hidden gem. We hav made this our go to place for pizza when here. We have repeatedly gotten the Grandma and Grandpa pizzas. These are very large square pizzas that we have cut into 16 slices (yes I said 16 slices!) they are absolutely delicious. They are thicker crusts but not heavy and doughy. The crust actually has a crispy chew to it. The tomato sauce is oh so wonderful...not too tart, not too sweet, just right!Our only dilemma is that there are so many other flavors of other pizzas on the menu that because we live these two types, we haven't tried any of the other pizzas. We were greeted warmly, our coats checked. My drink, the "you had me at aloe," was the prefect blend of fruity and fresh - and the passion fruit pearls atop the drink were so fun - a little burst of flavor! My husband couldn't decide on a wine, and they kindly let him have a small taste of one before he committed - in the end he went with a lovely Sangiovese Red. We left feeling FULL. The prices here are not cheap, but the serving size you get for the price is a good value. We took home portions of our entrees, and the only apps we had were the sour dough bread and olives - of which we also took some home. “My family and I absolutely LOVE Mimmos Pizzaria. Anything you order is out of this world!I order things like mozzarella sticks just to get a little cup of the sauce. It is so darn good! “It's our first time at Harvey Cedars (in February!) and we arrived famished. A quick google search revealed that Ray's was open and serving. We only had an hour to eat, but luckily it was just 2 minutes down the Boulevard. Not only was the pizza served hot and fresh within minutes of our order --- with some of the freshest, crispiest, lightest, airy delicious crust I've ever tasted! -- but the friendly owner/server gave us an extra slice on the house! I enjoy his pizza very much but would appreciate if he had fountain drinks instead of canned and bottle drinks to go with it. “My wife and I came up from Columbia, SC to visit where I was raised in Bayville, NJ and to visit family. I had let her know that the pizza I grew up on as a kid was still operating to this day. I grew up in the 70’s in Bayville. My wife was like we have to go and we did. We came in and met the third generation owner and we started talking and he told me his grandfather Sal started it and I told him when I was a kid I remember Sal tossing the pizza dough. Compared to some thin crust pizza places I would consider this pizza to be medium in crust, they used real cheese because the pizza actually had oil coming off.A bunch of pizza places have got cheap using cheap mozzarella or adding provolone,this place used good cheese! The first slice I had was delicious but after that the second the sauce was a little sweet. I think I devoured my first slice.
