“For a Wednesday night the place is almost filled. There was a mixture of tables with large parties and smaller ones of couples. Everyone seems to be returning customers which is a good sign. The five dishes we ordered were well prepared with appetizing taste. While their American menu seem to cover frequently ordered western fare, most of their Chinese dishes are listed separatly and only presented in the Chinese language. Our estimation is that everyone in the restaurant ordered from the traditional Chinese menu instead the one you are handed. “First time coming here and this place is amazing. I got the Pad thai and its perfectly made- excellent seasoning, and well made for the price of $13. I wish the portion sizes were larger, but I've been looking for a thai place near Berkeley and finally this one will be my go to. Skip the "Proud thai cookery" and come here, this is way better and really does taste like family cooked dish at an unbeatable price. Will definitely be back!“

“We love Thai food. We've had authentic Thai food in Bangkok itself, and Ricky's Thai is a solid local Thai restaurant that meets our cravings. There's a wide menu of options, you can get dishes from no spicy at all to super spicy. Tip: Level 5 isn't the spiciest, they can go higher. The various duck dishes are awesome, our kids love the lettuce wraps, pad kee mao, satay, and more. Very courteous service and always a great experience, whether we dine in or take out.“

“This place is super-reliable for tasty Thai food to go. I have never had anything here that wasn't delicious. In particular, all their appetizers, curries, and the grilled pork tenders are stand-outs.We take out from here every other month or so. Never ate in, but we definitely should. I would say there are days when I think their food is particularly better than others, without rhyme or reason, but I do tend to find their food tends to be better more often than it's not. Not. I also like when general tso chicken has a nice crunch to it and they tend to have better chicken than other places. I don't think I've ever had it and it'd be soggy unless I'm reheating it which does not count. The woman there tends to be very friendly. Who takes the orders, they have to have a system that gives the name of the customer because she always knows my name and greets him with a hello Mike when she answers the phone. Now if I ordered more regularly I could totally see her knowing my name. However, I do not order frequently enough for her to know who I am, which makes me think they have to have some sort of system. Either way it's nice or is she just that good at her job. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong. Getting takeout from here. I've tried some other spots in town with high recommendations and have been sorely disappointed. I hate soggy chicken and I've never gotten soggy chicken from here.“

“It was a packed house on a Friday night dinner time. Luckily, it was just my husband and I, so we got a table right away. The place has nice decorations and it is also a clean place. Combo (Fried Calamari and Shrimp) - The calamari and shrimp were cooked perfectly. It wasn't over-battered, and it was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. Went well with the sauce. Roti Canai - I would say it wasn't that great at all, and I love Roti Canai, but this wasn't it. Malaysian style pancake were not crispy at all. Husband says he felt it was undercooked. The curry itself was very liquidy. The potatoes were good. When you dip the pancake into the curry. It would dip everything down, meaning you don't get that curry on to the pancake. So you have to use the spoon to get the curry and eat it like soup. Gang Kiew Wan with Squid - Green curry was a great pick. The squid is cooked perfectly. It was soft and easy to chew. I love the veggies, and they were delicious. Duck Noodles - It's great and very flavorful. Wish they would add a little bit more of the shredded duck meat. I felt there wasn't much to it. (This dish reminds me of Beef Chow Fun.) Overall, from the beginning to the end, even though it was a packed house, the services were great. They made sure the water on the table didn't go empty. They checked on us to see how everything was. I had to take off the one star because I wish their Roti Canai was better. But I am planning to go back here again to try other dishes.“

“I have been going to this restaurant for years. They know me so well that they know my order when I walk in. The food is beyond excellent here. Clean food and atmosphere, lots of vegetarian options. In fact, I was told the last time I was there that they can make my favorite dish, Garlic Chicken, with tofu. I’m excited to try it! The curry was good, but not very different than typically. The drunken noodles were so perfectly flavorful. The salt and pepper tofu was also very good, awesome texture and sauce. “This is THE place for drunken noodles - it’s our go to in NJ. Great lunch menu & prices. They have a brown rice option - no extra charge. “The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the Pad Mei Prig King (I think it’s called). The service is quick and I always get seated right away. After ordering your food, the wait is about 10 - 15 minutes. Appetizers I always get are the steamed pork dumplings and beef satay. The atmosphere is chill, and there is always either a bustling business, with most tables filled, or nice and quiet. “Thai Lanna is a staple in my area and my favorite Thai restaurant. I've been eating here for many years. The staff is warm and friendly, the owner is incredibly nice and the food is consistently delicious! Everything is always cooked to perfection and VERY flavorful. They also accommodate spice levels perfectly so if you want it more tame, they can do that for you. My favorite is the Thai Iced Coffee, it's smoky and sweet and it compliments their spicy dishes perfectly. Thai Lanna is a must try if you are nearby. If you're thinking about it, just order here! “Came here for a company holiday dinner. I've been to their other location in Somerville which was amazing. This place is just the same. Everything from the interior to the food was amazing. The service was great. They were very attentive and friendly. The food came out fairly quickly for our large party. Everyone from the owners to the waitresses were awesome. We had a fixed menu for our large party that included soup, salad, entree and dessert. The salad was delicious and fresh. We had a choice of 3 different soups, I had gone for a coconut chicken soup that was refreshing and slightly citrusy. My entree was the garlic salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was also covered in chopped shrimp and served with a side of white rice. Everything was superb. I would recommend this place to everyone whether it's for a casual lunch, a date night or even a group dinner.“
