“Great hog dogs w a great view of the Appalachian mountains. Great spot to pick up a quick meal or snack.Parking: Plenty of room to park. I happened to go on a super busy evening and there was still plenty of parking. If too much there a lawn across the way for cars to park. Parking isn't an issue.“
“A very interesting historic building with charming decor. Its a small menu, but the food was generally good. They also had some interesting beers on tap. The bakery items are very tasty. The staff were friendly but they definitely want you out when you're done. Not a place to hang out.Food & drinks: We didn't stay in the hotel and went for dinner.“
“I don't know your name, but you today made my heart full, and tears swelled in my eyes. Because of your kindness. I was able to eat lunch, and I thank you for that. I didn't expect that my day would turn into a gift and blessing. So, if you read this, thank you so much.“
“Happy to say that I attended their first ever comedy night. For $40yo got an all you can eat buffet, which was spectacular, and 2 drinks. A great deal for the price. On top of that I had the opportunity to laugh with some funny comedians. It was a nice crowd, good food, and comedy. ID definitely do it again.“
“Delicious farm to table restaurant. Recommend making reservations especially on the weekend. I called on a Saturday right when they opened at 4pm and was able to secure a reservation at 7pm, which required a credit card on file and $35pp cancellation fee. The Grange is an intimate dining room with about six tables, adorned with beautiful art, dimly lit, and very cozy and welcoming. On Saturdays, they have a pre-fixe menu of $65pp which includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and choice of coffee, tea, or espresso. They have a small wine and beer selection, but no cocktails. We started with a Kentucky fried duck tenderloin appetizer and the lunar new year nachos. The fried duck was fried in a thick batter and served on creamy polenta and blue cheese. The lunar new year tacos was heavy on the rice, it would have been better with a bit more tuna. For entrees, I ordered the La Belle Farm Duck Breast, cooked medium, and my husband ordered the HVCC Sliced NY Strip Steak, medium rare. My husband's steak was so delicious and nicely cooked. I thought my duck breast was a little too rare for me, but the dish itself was very good. For dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream which I really liked. Our server was nice enough to add a candle for my birthday, which was a nice little surprise. My husband had an apple crisp dessert with vanilla ice cream, which he also enjoyed. We also each had our own little pot of tea which was the perfect ending to our meal. Service here was very friendly and smooth. Lovely ambiance and great food. Perfect for a date night.“
“The food was good, I ordered just a waffle and bacon recently, but unfortunately, the TV was tuned to Newsmax and I was told "it couldn't be changed". Now that I know the extreme political views of those in charge, I won't be spending any more of my money there. Nor will I recommend the Lakeside Diner any more. Too bad, it used to be such a nice place.“
“Murphys has always been a reliable good place to eat and grab drinks, but recently, they updated their menu, and so far, everything I've tried has been really good to great! The Italian Wedding Soup was really great, and mozzarella sticks were light and crispy.I tried 3 kinds of tacos (steak, beef, pulled pork)- all very good, even held up for take out/eating at home.Personal pizza thin crust, always very good. Appetizer sampler was a great way to try a few things at once!I'm both happy and upset that they have several new desserts, too! I wish they had a sampler for that (!) Better for me, they don't!I got the peanut butter chocolate torte(?) And it was light enough to finish! Uh oh!!! Hahaha! The servers I had were very friendly and accommodating. They feel 'happy to be there', which, as a former hospitality professional, I appreciate seeing, and as a Medium, I appreciate feeling! They make you comfortable and offer great suggestions. (And they didn't know I'm a Google Local Guide either!)The owner is always friendly and hands-on as well too.I am very glad for their beautiful renovations and extension, to be able to sit outside in nice weather, easy parking, and fair prices. This restaurant/bar is definitely an asset to our community. And with the new menu, I'll definitely be going more and bringing more friends!Peace, abundance, and continued success for 2024, and always!“
“This Is an all around great place to have for our area!! The owners and service are all very nice ,the menu is large with so many different choices and the food is all very good and all at very reasonable prices!!!I would say it's in the middle of a diner and upscale restaurant...we do dine in and take out often for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!“
“I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.“
“Went for dinner last night. It was very nice. For an app we had the e erything pretzel. Very unique and good. It had Italian salami, pieces of provolone, stuffed cherry pepper w a big Bavarian Pretzel w a fancy mustard and another dipping sauce on the side. The short rib was very good too. The portion could have been a little bigger though UT it was good.“
“i just made a quick stop by as i’m on my way to an event and wow what a lucky stop! i got the crispy tofu sandwich with fries and it was so so good!! quality food and ingredients you can tell, the breading was super crispy and seasoned, the chipotle sauce was amazing and on a really good brioche, i’ll definitely come back next time i’m in the area!“
“We’ve been here a couple of times now and not only is the service great but we love the creative menu. There’s not a lot of fun, creative menus in the area and this is one we love to try. They regularly change things up to keep the menu fresh and the food is outrageous“
“The farm was the first venue we visited, and it was also the last. We fell in love that day and never looked back. Food is really important to us, and the farm was perfect. It was as close at it gets to a true "farm to table" experience, right on the property. All of their ingredients are either sourced from the farm itself, or other local ingredients. Steve, the chef, works with you directly to figure out the menu, and that process was really fun! The barn itself is the perfect setting for the "rustic chic" vibe that we were going for. It's gorgeous on its own and didn't require much for decoration, although working with Candice on the decor was easy and fun. We also stayed on the property that weekend (with our wedding party) and the accommodations were both luxurious and cozy/intimate. Working with Steve & Candice was a true pleasure, and we can't wait to go back for a farm dinner (they do those too!) soon. They also have an open farm market on weekends from 11-4 --- we highly recommend stopping by for farm raised meats, eggs, vegetables, honey, and so much more. <3“
“My whole family may have found their new favorite restaurant. You won’t find any food pics in this review because even my picky 10 year old finished her entire meal ! All our dishes were delicious. The restaurant is amazingly clean and decorated so nicely. Service was outstanding - I can’t emphasize how nice everyone there was. Must try location!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are not hard to findParking: There is no difficulty in finding parkingKid-friendliness: My picky ten year old was able to eat her entire meal!“
“Great hot dogs, fresh buns and a good selection of soft drinks. It's only counter service and take out, but the folks that work there are first class. They have some picnic tables outside if you wanna not eat in your car which makes for a fun little experience. They also have knishes, which makes them more of a NYC experience.“
“An awesome super friendly place to come. Welcomes everyone. Very unique place. The grill has a Caribbean flare, with curried onion burgers and stewed chicken. They make their rum punches on site and they're refreshing and taste authentic. They have many events and lots of live music. The bar is ridiculously clean. Can't really go wrong here, whether you're flying solo or running with friends. Can even bring kids earlier in the night. If you like cheese steak get the J*** cheese steak! Crazy good comfort food that one.And the service is super friendly!“
“Drinks are excellent, bartenders are usually great also—really talented at making cocktails. Good local beer choices. As a vegetarian I can’t speak to much of the food—fries are great, but the veg burger is very dense and not my favorite. I love coming here for a few drinks and apps. Dog friendly too!“
“The Smoke Rise inn is the neighborhood's best kept secret This charming building has as much history as it does ambiance It is believed to be a private establishment due to it being behind the Smoke rise community gates but it is open to the public When you walk into the bar area you can't help feeling like you are walking into the tv show cheers Everyone does know your name or will by the time you leave The staff and the usual patrons are extremely friendly and love meeting new folks The bar room is charming with stone and wood walls and a cozy fireplace on the upper seating area There is dining in the gazebo room which is equally as lovely and a bit quieter The food is delicious and the drinks are quite generous The Inn can also accommodate weddings in their ballroom or private parties So if you haven't checked out this fabulous eatery come drop in but make sure you make a reservation on the weekend“
“Quaint little place off the Main Street in downtown Warwick. Highly recommend making reservations because it is a small space with not that many tables. Everything is homemade, so it takes a little longer to get your order, but is well worth the wait. Coffee was amazing! I got Fannie’s signature latte which was full of interesting flavors. Went there for breakfast and everything tasted great. The one thing I will tell you is to ask for the price of the specials before you order. I ordered a special that included pork loin (which was the previous night’s dinner special) eggs, hash browns and an apple salad and it was $33. It was good, but not $33 good. My fault for not checking the price, but I never imagined a breakfast dish costing that much. I will still go back next time I’m in Warwick, but I’ll be sure to ask for the prices before I order a special again.“
“Let's rally around the Paradise Restaurant! Remember Tuscany? Several former staff are there, and a fantastic new chef! They're planning on expanding the bar into the large dining room! Great atmosphere, staff, and food! We had the eggplant parm and chicken franchaise and it was top notch! Calamari was tender and crispy! Beer and wine selection was very good as well!“
“Had a great time here with friends. Good food, fantastic service, and a nice table to chat away the night. Didn't get to take any pictures, but it's basically a pub style with plenty of tables right on the main street in Pompton Lakes. We hadn't been in this area for a LONG time. We went around the corner and there was St Mary's church where we got married 41 years ago last week!!!“
“What a wonderful deli! My husband and I stopped in for the first time today, 3/24/24, to get a sandwich to share. We got a HUGE turkey sandwich, a can of soda, and chips as a "lunch special" for under $12! And the sandwich was just great--a turkey on rye, mayo, onion, tomato, and just fantastic and giant. We really enjoyed it, and the lady who made it was very friendly and personable. We'll be back!!“
“A group of us from Long Island visited Warwick & had lunch at Yesterdays this week. We loved the atmosphere of the new space, and enjoyed looking at all of the fun retro decor. Very clever use of beer kegs inside and outside the new building. The food was fresh and delicious, we had mozzarella sticks, Irish nachos, fried chicken and salads, the dressing on my grilled chicken Caesar salad was probably the best I’ve ever had. Overall an excellent experience. Thank you Peggy & John!Kid-friendliness: Family friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant from the parking lot“
“Best breakfast in Orange County hands down. Pancakes and breakfast sandwiches are out of this world. Lunch is amazing too! Always a variety of snacks and drinks. Service is speedy, and always served with a smile! Family owned GWL must-have. Cash only and not much seating, unless outdoor (warmer weather) but you can always call in!“
“Great food well prepared. Basically a breakfast and lunch menu but good choices. Service was pleasant and fairly quick but due to the care taken the food can take a while to get to you. A smallish storefront place right in downtown Warwick. RecommendParking: As is usual in Warwick, parking can be hard to find in a convenient place as it is often busy, especially at weekends“
“We absolutely love this place, from the food, to the cozy atmosphere, to the friendly staff and excellent service. It's perfect whether you're here on a date, or for a meal with family or friends. If you don't want a full sit-down meal, you can always find a convivial gathering around the happenin' bar. The menu consists of popular Italian and American favorites like chicken, veal, pastas, salads, steak, seafood, burgers/sandwiches, and a well-rounded selection of appetizers. Nothing trendy but all extremely solid options and consummately prepared. You're greeted with a plate of warm bread and black olives when you sit down. The house wines are quite good and a gracious pour. (A wine shop attached to the restaurant is run by the same people.) The steak is perfection - flawlessly seared to my requested medium rare, and seasoned just right. I've also really enjoyed the fish and chicken dishes here. The tilapia is so tender. Even the sides are outstanding - I couldn't believe how good the sauteed spinach in the chicken saltimbocca was! And the fries are amazing - piping hot and crispy, and perfectly seasoned as well. We've also had the seafood paella which is full of seafood but more of a cioppino with its tomato-based broth than a true paella which has a dry texture, but is tasty nonetheless. We'll be back often to eat our way through the rest of the menu, I'm sure. A happy hour menu is offered from 4-6p on Tue/Wed/Thu. As mentioned, they have a great bar, and the changing seasonal cocktail offerings are delightful. The staff are warm and wonderful, and we were made to feel welcomed each time. Mike the owner came up to introduce himself the very first time we came here. You can tell they take care to know their customers, and seem to have a loyal local clientele (one of whom recommended the Tavern to us). Our meal was perfectly coursed - never rushed nor too slow. I noticed our server discreetly checking on us several times to make sure we were done with our appetizers before the entrees were brought out in impeccable timing. A small table lamp illuminates the menu without harshing the romantic mellow. The unobtrusive noise level means you can actually have a conversation without shouting across the table. These are details, but the sum of these parts differentiates a good restaurant experience from a great one.“
“This is my favorite place for great home-cooked food! Everything they make us top drawer and the staff is always attentive, warm and welcoming! It's everything you could ask for! Always looking for a reason to go back here and relax...“
“The food was also really good but oh my god wait until you try the coffee!! I got an iced espresso without sugar or milk and it was so good! I’ve had many of their other drinks and smoothies as well! They just knock it out of the park with their food, their smoothies, their juices, and the coffee.“
“Such a good pub. Food was great, really good chicken parm and the best LIT I’ve ever had. Bartender was a man with dark hair and he did a great job managing the entire bar and our table. He kept our table clean and our drinks full. Try the corn bites!!“
“Halligans is my neighborhood place. AloneFor lunch, with a gang for the game, it is like dropping by a friends. The food is good. I like the beef tips salad, artichoke, great hamburgers..if you are hungry. GoKid-friendliness: Lots of families. Great place to take the kidsWheelchair accessibility: The whole place is one floor and there is a side access door.“
“We went over for the superbowl because some of the other restaurants in town were closed and we were very pleasantly surprised. I don't know why it wasn't on our radar sooner. We got a bunch of appetizers and they were all really good. The wings were stand-out. I will say that the portions were a little bit smaller than I was hoping, but at least everything tasted good. The drinks were reasonably priced and they made my wife a very respectable espresso martini with actual coffee in it. The owner came up to our table to check in on us and the host was very sweet and kind as well. They have large rooms that you can rent out for events which is pretty cool too and they have a bunch of TVs around for games and such. Its like a sports bar in some ways, but it feels like a more elevated experience than your average sports bar or pub. We will definitely be going back!Parking: Plenty of spots in the front of the building, the side, and the back. The handicap spots are to the right when you pull in so they are directly in front and the rest of the parking is to the left and then clockwise around the building.“
“In these times of economic vigilance, a visit to Galloway Grill in Warwick, NY, is akin to a well-considered market strategy. As a Wall Street banker, keenly aware of the volatile economic landscape, every dining choice is a reflection of careful fiscal planning.Galloway Grill is conveniently located and offers a bustling yet welcoming environment. The crowd is a mix of older patrons and families, reflecting a diverse demographic. However, a word of caution for fellow diners: be mindful of the speed traps in the village. The local law enforcement is vigilant, and going over 30 mph could lead to an unwanted financial setback – a scenario all too familiar in my line of work.Service at Galloway Grill is efficient and no-nonsense, much like a well-oiled financial machine. However, there's a slight hiccup when it comes to the children's harmless fascination with jelly packets. In an era where every small expense is scrutinized, this seems a trifle, yet it's emblematic of the broader economic prudence we must all exercise. The menu offerings, like stable financial instruments, are reliable and satisfying. The pancakes, French toast, and particularly the omelets, provide a comforting return on investment, both in terms of taste and fulfillment. The price point, around $70-80 for a family of four, is a significant consideration in these times of economic uncertainty. While the quality is undeniable, the cost is a reminder of the current need for careful budgeting and financial foresight.Galloway Grill occupies a unique position, slightly more upscale than a diner but not quite a high-end restaurant. Its place in the culinary market is somewhat analogous to a mid-cap stock – not without its risks, but offering a potentially rewarding experience. In conclusion, while I recommend Galloway Grill for its quality, do so with an eye on both your wallet and the speedometer. The current economic climate, much like the vigilant speed enforcement in the area, requires constant awareness and prudent decision-making. It's a solid 4-star experience, with the potential for 5, should the economic and local traffic conditions become more favorable.“
“Crystal Cafe has fresh delicious tasting salads. The staff are very friendly and there's never a long wait for food to come out! My only con is when i ordered breakfast a couple times some of my food was cold. It's still very delicious and i'll continue to eat here!“
“I saw this place often as my bus passed it on its route. I thought it was just a catering spot... 'til I saw the "open" sign on. I am happy I saw the "sign" because I knew I could order a small meal. We had the Honey Bourbon BBQ Ribs, Garlic Parmesan Wings, Honey Fried Brussel Sprouts, Honey Butter Cornbread, Macaroni & Cheese, Brisket, BBQ Seasoned Fries and the Apple Cole Slaw.... Baaaaaby!Everything was delicious...the ribs were of great size and cooked to perfection and the sauce delectable. The chicken wings were seasoned just right and they had real parmesan flakes of cheese not that shredded kind. The Brussel Sprouts had a little char to them and the combination of Honey and Parmesan Cheese was something I never had before but will definitely be something I'll have again. The Mac & Cheese had a different flare that I surely tasted can't quite put my finger on the flavor of seasonings but I enjoyed it. Danielle was so pleasant and upbeat as well as her assistant/best friend and they made us feel comfortable. My 13 year old daughter who is a finicky eater was happy with her Brisket over Mac & Cheese and side of Seasoned Fries and the portion was of an amount that when she tells me she's hungry I can say you have leftovers. The icing on the cake was the Honey Buttered Cornbread what is there not to like about Honey, Butter & Cornbread all in one. The apple Cole Slaw was an acquired taste I wasn't expecting. It was more like a salad that did not need any salad dressing. It was different and I like different. All in all this place is a hidden gem in plain sight. If you are ever thinking about getting some BBQ give this place a try, I promise you, you won't be disappointed. I'm definitely going back there are a few more things I'd like to try. Thank you Danielle for bringing good EATS close to home.“
“Tonight my fiancée and I booked a table for the pre fix meal in the tap room and we absolutely loved it. We were greeted at the door and taken downstairs to such an amazing room with old word charm and character. The service staff was beyond amazing and food was incredible. My fiancée has a dairy intolerance and we reached out ahead of time to let them know and they went above and beyond to accommodate his needs. We have nothing but wonderful things to say and will definitely be back with friends!“
“It was a fantastic, fun, find. My son came to visit for the Christmas holiday and we were looking for breakfast.Omelets and home fries delicious, the coffee...perfect our server Josephine was so personable and efficient. Did I mention the coffee? #“
“Food was great! Just disappointed that with an entree no salad or bread/rolls available. They were all separate. We have been going here since they opened and we always got them with meals. Take out next time so I can have bread and salad with my dinner!“
“Owner was a very interesting person, we talked the whole time, we were the only customers at the time, so it was very calm and relaxing and the conversation made it even better! Food was good too!Parking: Beautiful view of the Ramapo River, right below the back of parking lot too, nice chairs to sit in shade by river, and one can even fish if you wanna throw a line in, very peaceful and calm. Loved it!“
“We have probably driven by the place 100 times and finally decided to give it a try. We were very impressed. First it was very crowded but we found a table at the bar. Large bar business and an extensive selection of tap beers. All reasonably priced. For dinner we ordered the Irish potato skins as an appetizer. These were very good. They were firm and well covered with toppings. Then we both ordered burgers. My wife had the patty melt and I had the Irish Cheddar burger. We both ordered them medium rare and they came out medium rare. Both burgers were very good and the Irish Cheddar burger came with a bun that was a perfect size for the burger. We enjoyed our meal, and were not rushed. We will definitely go back.“
“This restaurant offers a rare mix of superb service, excellent food, and very reasonable prices; a true 5 star experience. We stopped in for a late lunch with our picky toddlers. They enjoyed their fish and chips and chicken nuggets. I tried it as well and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The owner improvised kiddie cups for our toddlers' apple juice (and I'm grateful that they offered apple juice in the first place). I was craving a Nashville style fried chicken sandwich and described my craving to the owner. He improvised a delicious spicy dry rubbed fried chicken sandwich which satisfied my craving and more. My husband ordered the BBQ chicken and sliced lean brisket. The chicken was very tender and delicious. The brisket was lean and tender. My husband also ordered three diet cokes and they were brought out one at a time with perfect timing to ensure that he had cold drinks to wash down the food. The sides were all great too, highly recommend the mac and cheese and buttered corn. Overall, our lunch visit was a total hit and we will definitely return when we're in the area next. Please open a location in Jersey City!“
“Been here twice now and both times the food has been great. We were walk-ins both times so we sat at the bar (which is full service). The cocktails were delicious when we tried them on our second visit. This place is above my normal eating out budget but it’s well worth the money. Just remember to bring a couple bucks to tip the valet workers in the parking lot.“
“Fetch is an adorable cafe where you can bring your dog, but you can only bring them outside and eat with them in the front. The inside of the building is so cute with pictures of all different types of dogs from the community. The waitresses were so nice and there was barely any time I spent waiting. The food smelt amazing and you can tell that they really knew what they were doing with their dishes because it all looked amazing. The crispy chicken sandwich was delicious and it was one of the more neat burgers I've ever had.“
“7:00pm chili's was swamped. I decided to go to take out to order instead of wait. gals were so kind and patient regardless of how busy they were ro help me with my order. Riverdale chili's has always been my favorite restaurant and tonight was no different. got home, food was delicious as usual. thanks chili's for great food at great prices with exceptional service and wonderful hard working professional people keeping people happy and fed with great food. thank you. thank you for great service, delicious food and affordable prices. your restaurant was packed as usual 7pm so order take out. super nice and friendly ladies took order. food was exceptional, service was extremely great and we are lucky to a Riverdale chili's.“
“This is my boyfriend’s families restaurant and they did not disappoint with my first time! We went with a group of friends who had a mix of pasta and the gluten free menu which was amazing. Can not wait to go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“WOWW! What an experience... I went on Thursday afternoon and it was starting to pick up early dinner. I was pretty hungry so I ordered an Eggs Benedict and an order of pancakes. The eggs Benedict was one of the best I have had in a long time. The English muffin was toasted to perfection. The pancakes were the best pancakes I have had hands down, they were so fluffy and loaded with strawberries. They DO NOT skimp on portions here. I was so content with my meal that I got a slice of Canoli Cheesecake to go that sent me into a deep food coma. The service was incredible as it was my first time there. I will definitely return to this diner. The manager Mike gave me a great table and was super friendly, great guy. My server Astrid was very attentive and helped guide me through the options on the extensive menu. I recommend everyone come here if you are looking for an AWESOME diner!!!!!!!“
“I live in California and wanted to surprise my best friend and her husband who were celebrating her promotion at Old Stone House in Warwick, New York. I called ahead to arrange two glasses of champagne for them, and Anneliese, the hostess, went above and beyond to assist me. She was incredibly friendly and efficient, guiding me through the champagne selection over the phone and processing the payment seamlessly. Her exceptional service made the surprise even more special. Anneliese's professionalism and warm demeanor truly stood out, and I am grateful for her assistance. Thank you, Anneliese, and the team at Old Stone House, for making this celebration memorable!“
“Update: After a huge investment in renovation, they are re-open! Check out the HUGE new bar, outside deck, and 2nd parking lot behind the restaurant. Same amazing food, same suppliers, same recopies, same friendly staff.Feels like a traditional British pub in West Milford. Great diversity of food/amazing specials - and a great "core" menu. The quality of their meats is amazing, and they have the tenderest steak sandwich I have ever had! Worth the trip, just for their Seafood Bisque. If they have it as a special, I'M THERE!“
