There was a long 20 min wait for our dinners. The place was very busy and one child just kept sreaming every 10 min. I've been to McCloones in the past and this last visit just didn't measure up to par.

We went to McLoone's for a 90th birthday celebration with a small group. The food was a buffet with a great assortment and an omelet station that was excellent. Our service was fantastic.

The front desk was unorganized. I had an open table reservation and we waited on line for at least 15 mins. Person at the podium walked away for many minutes and no one was seated with lots of empty tables visible. We were told we could wait in the lobby or go to the bar. Ridiculous! It was a Saturday night right before Valentines Day and they were totally unprepared. Waiters was obviously new because she told us she wasn't even sure where the water pitcher was. She was very sweet and wound up doing ok. We just got the feeling that no one actually knew what they were doing last night.

The service was extremely slow. Food and drink were good with the exception of one of our entrees. The orrechiette was dry and it was misrepresented on the menu. The sausage looked more like pepperoni than Italian sausage. The appetizers were delicious but the mains felt like they had been sitting, waiting to be served for a while. They arrived barely warm.

The food and cocktails were really good. Our server, Junius, was great. The only problem was the noise level. In the middle of our meal a band started playing in the bar area and it destroyed the whole ambience of the dining room. We had to shout to each other to have a conversation. It was totally unnecessary. It will keep me from going back. Does this place want to be a restaurant or a nightclub?

My only complaint, is that when we arrived they did not have record of my reservation. It wasn't an issue as they had space, but since I had a confirmation I was surprised they couldn't find the reservation.

Our service was terrible and the restaurant was pretty empty since we went for an early dinner. The waitress took forever to bring our drinks (2 glasses of wine) and when she did my glass had two chips in it which I didn't realize until I cut my lip. The waitress was not around to tell so I had to ask another person to bring me a new glass. The managers were very apologetic but did nothing to make up for it. We never got bread like the other tables around us and we had to ask multiple times for things the waitress was forgetting such as a drink refill and a side dish we ordered. I will not be returning.

The items were many to choose from. We specially liked the chef's menu of chicken, salmon, grilled vegetables. It goes to Excellent in terms of the quality, service, ambience. Special mention is for Katie, who looked after us. She was always smiling, helping, serving , chatting with us. We are left to feel completely at home with her service. She is highly appreciated.

server was overwhelmed. when asked for things they either never came or took like 15-20 mins. drinks didn't come out until after we were halfway through our appetizers and we waited 30 minutes for appetizers to come out. appetizer plates were not cleared until we were almost done with dinner. food was average and expect way more for the price point. quality more on par with a standard bar and grill not an upscale restaurant.

The experience we had was not great. We have been there several times in the past at the bar area. However, dining at this restaurant is not considered a place where you will receive good prompt service and the value for the food. The prices are ridiculous and on top of that you will be charged 2.5% for using your credit card. It is a daylight robbery for a $100 meal for two.

Last few times I have gone here the service was ridiculously slow. I made a reservation at 4:30 pm. Was seated right away. It was 10 minutes before our server came to us. Restaurant at this time was not crowded at all. We were there to celebrate our daughter's 9th bday. I figured by coming here before the dinner rush we'd be served, fed, and be out by 6 the latest so we could have gone back to the zoo for the Xmas lights and the train ride that my daughter really wanted to do. Sever came over around 4:40 and was friendly. I then put our drink order in. It took about 10 minutes for kids to get their soda and was told my bottle of wine would be out shortly for my wife and I. We then put our order in. Both kids got the kid's burger, wife got grilled salmon, and I got the penne vodka with grilled chicken added (side note. Adding the chicken is no longer worth it. It's an additional 8 dollars on top of the 23-24 dollar price. They add like 4-5 small strips of chicken and some parts are inedible). By 5:05 wife and I finally got our wine. Then server asked how everything was around 5:10. I replied ok, but we still haven't gotten any of our food. By 5:20 restaurant is filling in and I noticed a table that came around 5 had their food already. Server finally delivered kids food about 5:25. Yet my wife and I still had no food. By 5:35 I see server and I guess he saw my face realizing my wife and I still had no food. He ran into kitchen and 5 minutes later he came with my wife's food. I still have not gotten my food. Again I'm having penne vodka with grilled chicken. Definitely should not take an hour to get. Finally by 5:45 I get my food. The saving grace of this all was when I asked for the bill by 6:30, the bottle of wine was comped. What is still upsetting is by the time I paid and we got to the zoo, the line for the train was almost an hour long and my daughter said let's skip it so we got to see all the lights. She's a trooper, but I saw she was disappointed.

I've always wanted to dine here and decided to make it the dining choice this year for my birthday celebration. The service was exceptional, our server Junias went above and beyond to make it a special occasion indeed ❤️? The entire staff was very pleasant, food was great and the restaurant has a beautiful ambiance!

We visited for the Brunch with Santa experience. This is our 3rd year. I've also come to brunch and dinner here for many other occasions. For some reason they seated us in a banquet room where you would hold a private event. It was quiet and far from the buffet. So you would have to walk through crowds talking to Santa, taking pictures, and checking in their reservation to get and bring back your food to the table. My mother who is handicapped had a hard time. The ramp you could use from the room they sat us was crowded over by a private party. I asked the hostess station to move us due to the inconvience, and my mother's handicapped. The main dining area was empty. Our reservation was at 10:45am and the main dining room did not get even 75% full until around 12:30-1pm. I understand if they were giving the waitress in the private room tables, but it defeats the brunch experience I've experienced before at the Boathouse. Everything else was fine the food was good decent for brunch buffet, but I did feel like the staff was annoyed we asked to move our party as I saw them point and talk about it a few times which was highly uncalled for.

Good ambiance, great for families, diverse menu with something for everyone, good service, but food was mediocre at best. Will return when we need a bite before or after the zoo, but certainly not a fine dining experience.

Had lunch yesterday and we were a party of 4. Had to move our table because the air vents were blowing on us...I mean seriously blowing on us. We asked if they could turn them off but that didn't appear to be an option so we moved to a different table. Service was fine and our order was taken in a timely manner. However, both the pulled pork sandwich and the short rib sandwich were very, very dry. The pulled pork looked like frizzled onions. The other two entrees (cheeseburger and ravioli) were very good. The dessert (coconut cake) was excellent. All in all, the meal was just okay. For those prices, though, it should be better than okay.
