“This place is amazing and best part is BYOB. Great upscale Indian food with tremendous flavor - you'll not be disappointed. I love the service and the ambiance of this place. I been here twice and I have nothing but good things to write about this spot. Come try it because the pictures describe the food exactly. Keep up the great work.“
“had a delicious dinner with family at Spice Bazaar on a Saturday night! we ordered the spinach chaat, tapioca/sabu-dana tikki, chicken tikka bao buns, and the chicken 65 for appetizers, and all of them were delicious and perfect to whet your appetite!we ate so many appetizers and were already full, but we also ended up ordering a lot for entrees: the chicken tikka masala, tangri kabab, crispy fried okra, dal makhani, wild mushroom ghee roast, and the malai methi matar, along with the biggest garlic naan and the laccha paratha. everything was very well cooked, spiced to perfection and absolutely sumptuous! portions are wonderful and the service was also incredibly attentive and thoughtful. i look forward to coming back here many times in the future!“
“We had a dinner today , had a great experience and our waiter Faisal was very good , very patiently he listened to us and help us . Appreciate A2B and best food ever . No regrets , I do recommend everyone must visit and enjoy the tasty South Indian “
“Food was amazing!! Try the paper masala dosage or the mysore masala dosage if you like spicy food. Their chutneys are to doe for, the best part of Sarvana bhavan. Decor is dated and service does the job but the food makes it worth the visit!!Vegetarian options: Good foodKid-friendliness: Lots of kids and the staff deals with kids real well.“
“By far the best chat place we have been! This really topped in all of the categories - amazing food, fantastic service, music, atmosphere! It was my wife's birthday and they had an ice cream cake with jamoon with firework candles and happy birthday music and hat. Each of the dish was amazing - good quantity as well. Highly recommend - by far the best Indian restaurant we have been!“
“Food was absolutley outstanding. We love Indian food and I have travelled there twice. This was maybe some of the finest Indian food I’ve had outside of India. We each have different tastes, and the debate was spicy or not. They prepared the dishes in half portions — half spicy/half mild. This was perfect. Food was so fresh and great sized portions. Will be back.Vegetarian options: On the menu.Dietary restrictions: He asked.Parking: Maplewood tends to be busy.“
“We had a great time eating. Food was delicious. Every dish is a delight. Ambience is welcoming. The hostess Priya was friendly and accomplished in many ways. Spoke many languages as an added bonus. I will go there again. The other gentleman was knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a truly great pleasure being served at Vasanth Bhavan.Vegetarian options: Curry rices were nice“
“Delicious and authentic Indian food. Shrimp vindaloo and lamb were great. The spicy naan and everything naan were super delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with getting orders of our liking. Clean and simple setting/decor with a touch of class. Will be back for sure.“
“From customer service to the food quality, every aspect of my family’s experience at this gem was top-tier. The staff go above and beyond to make your dining experience as enjoyable as possible. The food is fresh and hot when it reaches your table. I cannot wait to come back with my family again! Give this place a chance. You will not regret it!“
“I recently had to pleasure of dining in eggholic and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! This cozy little gem specializes in serving delectable egg-based dishes, including the mouthwatering egg paplet and Italian masala half fry. I also had mango mastani and it was fabulous in tasteOverall, my experience at Eggholic was nothing short of exceptional. If you're a fan of egg-based dishes and crave a culinary adventure that will tantalize your taste buds, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Eggholic . You won't be disappointed!“
“Went for lunch to try this place as they do specialize in marathi food.Sevice was fast and really good and fast. We did have a chance to talk to the owners as well and they are very friendly people. The interiors are also really good.Chaas- 5/5( loved it )Vada pav-4/5( felt like the vada was refried but taste was good)Rava fried prawns- 4/5( prawns felts a little undercooked for my taste)Tandoori promfret - 5/5( fish was juicy and good)Jeera rice-5/5Garlic rice-5/5Dal kanda- 3/5(was spicy for me and as well the garam masala taste was overpowering)Chicken xacuti- 4/5( chicken felt little undercooked otherwise was close to a xacuti curry)“
“Went here with a group of 5 for the first time as we were craving Gujarati/kathiyawadi food and it did not disappoint. The service is excellent and the food tastes amazing. They offer three types of unlimited thalis - Gujarati, kathiyawadi and Punjabi. Have the Gujrati of you are craving your dishes to be a little on the sweet side like me and the kathiyawadi if not. I would not suggest the Punjabi thali as this is a Gujrati place and that is their forte.Vegetarian options: This is a fully vegetarian restaurant.Parking: This is in a strip mall with a free parking lotKid-friendliness: Indian restaurants are always kid friendly.“
“Truely an upscale Indian restaurant with the atmosphere, service, and food to match it, but it comes at a high cost. We ordered a few drinks (Mango Lassi and Cocktail), Live Fire Angaarey Paneer (picture below), Home of the Spiciest Curry (Paneer), Vindaloo (Chicken), Garlic Naan, Rita, and Rice (total bill with 20% tip was $140). The food's spice level was terrific (no request needed for Indian spicy) but didn't overpower the flavor which stands out. The location was far from the main oak tree area, but parking was widely available. The service was top notch with waiter attending nearby for an issues but I did feel like they were too close and watching us at times. A couple of downsides are the mango lassi was okay (very thick and not sweet), and the prices were extremely high. A typical curry costs $26 without rice (an additional $4), so $30 for a meal is about $10 or more higher than the rest of the competition. The Live Fire Angaarey Paneer had four pieces of panner for $20. That is nuts, and I will only recommend it if you are okay with the price ($5 per paneer). Overall, I would still come back due to the flavor and atmosphere, but I would be more careful in ordering the food for the table.“
“We love this woman owned, Pakistani /Indian restaurant that recently opened. Food is typical street food. Kathi rolls, chaat. Yumm! Clientele is diverse, service is excellent. We love that you will see the owner herself there all the time. That makes a huge difference. Can’t wait to go again!“
“Fantastic place to get some authentic Maharastra cuisine, especially the Kolhapuri Chicken Curry (extremely spicy, unlike the generic Kolhapuri available at Indian restaurants). The staff was extremely helpful as well. I think there is some scope for improvement, reason why I wanted to restrict this otherwise 5 star experience to 4 stars. First, pricing doesn't exactly match the premiumness of the restaurant i.e. dishes are matginally overpriced. We also ordered the Solkadi individually and through the thali, the consistency was very different in both, and the standalone drink (which was $6) seemed much more watery than the one provided in the thali.“
“So the food was okay. Not amazing as I had hoped. We drove over 30min to come here to try a new Indian place. I left not impressed. Service was mediocre at best. Not very attentive service.I had goan Salmon curry. It was ok. The vegetable biryani lacked flavor and richness. My daughter ordered the veggie korma, and asked for no dried fruit. It was served with the dried fruit. At the very least, they should have said something so that she could have ordered something else. The tandoori mix was good. Naan was good. And the papri chaat, although good, definitely not great with flavor, plus the appetizer was a really small portion. Also to note, there are NO windows inside the restaurant.Parking: There was no indication about parking however when I called to ask, at that point they told me I could park at the hotel and that they can validate the ticket.“
“We love Indian food & ordered from Clove Garden to give a new local business a try. Not only was the order perfect, but the food was excellent. They even added a desert for us to try, which was also really good. Happy to have you in Garwood!“
“Its a hidden gem on busy oak tree road, the ambience of this place tells it all, this is the most exotic party place in New Jersey, we did my daughter's sweet sixteen here, the food, service, cleanliness, staff, ambience, everything was beyond expectations, I would recommend 100%, Raj is the best.“
“This was our first time trying PAK and we were very impressed. The chicken and rice was delicious and an extremely generous portion. Samosas were crispy and flavorful. If you love halal food, this is a great spot without having to travel to the city! We will definitely be back!“
“I catered from Delhi 6 restaurant, the food was awesome. It was restaurant style at the same time it was non-greasy and very yummy. Every guest appreciated the good food. Thank you Delhi 6 it was an awesome experience. Last minute I added one main course . The owner was so kind to assure me ample pieces of Hara bhara kabab which was so tasty that I saw my son ate so many of them. I am thankful for the excellent service and good catering. Love this place. Will come back again.“
“Found this place via scrolling on fb / ig and saw an ad for it.. Never heard of it and I'm not even from the area but decided to give it a try.My friend and I visited it on a rainy Saturday afternoon.. The owner of the place was working behind the counter which in itself is impressive right away.. She explained the process of whag they offer very easily and it was fun interacting with her and her husband. Very kind peopleThe place was established 8 yrs ago and I'm bummer out that I only found out about it recently.Using Naan as a wrap is a genius idea tbh.. They made the Naan fresh after ordering. The owner also gave a sample tasting of their soup which was a kind gesture and the soup itself was also great flavorful and the right amt of spices that wasn't overbearing! My friend and I both got wraps and they were quite good.. Actually very good that I'd gladly make tbe 45 min drive from my home to visit this place again!I saw other folks come by in the early evening and overheard their convos with the owner.. Nearly all of them knew them as their own friends.. It was impressive.. Usually you don't hear or see that at any restaurant.. But the owners were interested in knowing their customers.Would I recommend? Absolutely ?Thanks to the owners for being genuine people.. It makes a whole lot of difference when you get to encounter with them at a restaurant ?“
“Tried out this place recently and the food there was delicious.aloo paratha here is just amazing super flavorful amristsari kulcha We also ordered their item daal makhni and mix vegetables it was the best decision because every bite felt scrumptious.Definitely worth visiting!“
“I ate Royyala vepudu and Mutton Ghee Roast biryani in the weekends and believe me guys, you never fell regret for what you spent in terms of money and time. The taste is really amazing and I loved it ❤️. Highly recommend to all. Especially for Indian who loves the flavors of authentic dishes ?“
“The food is absolutely AMAZING! The atmosphere is beautiful , clean and serene . Arif took care of us like we were royalty . He went above and beyond to serve us and even helped my 95 year old Father and his walker to get back into the car . Thank you!“
“I’d give 10 starts if I could. This is the best hole in the wall type of restaurant. Quick service, affordable price, and THE BEST food in Edison! I moved out of NJ, but every time I’m in NJ, I eat here over any other fancy restaurants. Highly recommend this place!“
“Begum Palace is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend the chicken biryani and the palak paneer. You won't be disappointed!“
“Nice place for indian food Good veg & non veg options great sea food the food tasted amazing good flavor for all the dishes ordered. They are able to provide the spice level as you desire for all the dishes .The service was good and price are reasonable. Decent ambience & great food variety .overall a nice place to visit with family & friends .“
“They have the most awesome, succulent, juicy chicken Bihari kebabs and rolls. Combined with the mango lassi just makes your day. They even have a robot waiter to serve and bring you food. The kids will just love it. The wait staff and the owner check with you and your order. The take your feedback and follow up. They have a big spacious space and ample parking.“
“Nice place, conveniently located by the Short Hills Station. Highly recommend coming here before 2 and checking out their lunch boxes - generous portions, not too expensive, and of course delicious. Also love their Malai Chicken Kebabs and Samosa Chaat.“
“I visited this place first time.. food quality was fresh and delicious. Management is also very helpful and kind. I tried Gujarati thali and it’s taste was authentic Gujarati Jamanvar taste. Must try if you in Edison or New Jersey. They have lots of different types of dishes in Menu and you will get Pure Indian food here. Wish one more branch near NewYorkCity.“
“One of the best Indian restaurants in New Jersey. The food was authentically prepared and delicious. Staff was attentive and courteous. The dinning room was packed with Indian clients. As the saying goes, if the ethnic restaurant is filled with clients from that ethnicity, it has to be good.Vegetarian options: We are not vegetarians but our friends who accompanied us are and they love the place so much they had the catering division cater their daughter's wedding.“
“A place of ultimate desi delectable fare.Had the opportunity to eat a variety of victuals from Shalimar restaurant as part of the Sahur soirée at our mosque in East Brunswick(ICEB). Their lamb chops stirred gustatory & culinary buds and their lamb pasta was too good too. It is sinful to leave their food on the table, every morsel must find its way from the plate to your platelets.Highly recommend their Iftar smorgasbord but reserve your seat before you head there.“
“Really great restaurant with an awesome variety of 100% Vegetarian Thalis. I highly recommend their Kesar Special Thali along with their Papdi Chaat Thali! They let you share plates and honestly 1 thali with saabzis would suffice 2 people, you may just have to order another separate Naan. Their special saabzi of the day was amazing, the rest of the saabzis varied from 'generic to alright'. Surprisingly, their ambiance is very upscale for a restaurant that is known for their Thalis. Highly recommend bringing the whole family and the service was super quick!“
“House of Biryani and Kebabs serves authentic flavors with a modern twist. Each dish bursts with aromatic spices, and the kebabs are tender and flavorful. A definite go-to for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine! Ambience is not so great.“
“If you love Indian street food, this is the place to be. It has various sub- shops serving dosas, manchurian, gol gappas, jalebis, paranthas, moms and meetha paan at a resonable price. I am happy that I do not live there, otherwise I would be visiting it on a daily basis.“
“Quality of Dosas and Idlis is good. However, masala was not properly cooked in Dosa and Sambhar had less salt than usual.Filter coffee and chai are good as well but can be better for sure. The dish that we liked best is Bhajji, definitely a must try for anyone new to this place. Also, the place is big enough to accommodate large groups of 6, 8, or even 10 people at once“
“I'm not gonna lie. You got the best food at the restaurant and the best employees. They are so helpful and friendly. I also met this girl at the restaurant. Her name is NAYAN. She was very sweet and kind and she helped me choose the best food in the menu Keep up the good work and if you want to have the best experience in the restaurant come especially on Friday's.“
“No frills indo-chinese food with great customer service and a friendly host. Food catered to your tastes and cravings. Not a fine dining restaurant but the food definitely reminds you of popular staples from India. A little expensive, but worth a visit.Definitely try the chilli paneer, made with fresh homemade paneer every day. Hakka style noodles with a side of Manchurian gravy is also great.“
“Swagath Restaurant has closed in Edison and now Kesar Restaurant has opened in the same location at 1700 oak tree road. Kesar is a 5 star restaurant with fantastic Punjabi thali. We had a fantastic lunch at Kesar and it has been open only 3 months.“
“Vegetarian options: Many option of vegetarian but most important. If you have senior in your company who doesn’t like the smell of it. It’s perfect for them as you don’t smell any food( specially non veg smell ) only great fresh air and good atmosphere. Staff was good. Food was so good that all of us was blown away by the flavors. Every items was unique taste not typical stuffed which you find in every other restaurants with onion and garlic.Sure will return to try other dishes. Keep the good energy and hard work.“
“Best bihari, lamb chops or sheak kababs in edison and near by. Diet cannot beat this place.Currys have tried couple. They are decent as well but can't say the best though. It has been 7 plus years since I tried their ana, once that was not great and from that time what I listed above is the only things I get here. And do get it always from here.“
“The Lamb Vindaloo wasn't on the menu, but they made it for me anyway. It was very flavorful and had a good spice level. The Chili cheese Naan was good. As well as the mango Lassi. It was thick with a lot of flavor. The service was very good. I would go there again if I was in town.“
“Awesome place! Food was excellent and fresh hot Sambhar is too good. Must try! Sambhar dipped in Idli and Sambhar dipped in Vada!! Mysore Masala Dosa was worth it! So many options to choose from. Staff was friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!!“
“Enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan cuisine today which reminded us of the food we had on our Sri Lanka vacation beforeWe had the fish and shrimp combo platters for lunchVery reasonable price and excellent service by owner Mr. Pushpa Kumar! Would def come again“
“Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The prices are great, the taste of all their food that I tried was exceptional. The portion size is also great. Being a first timer at this restaurant I will definitely be back to experience more great food off their menu.Vegetarian options: Delicious and a great amount of options“
“Great food and ambience.Mandeep is also great server. We have tried dine in and takeout at multiple occasions. Food and service has been consistently great. Best Soya chaap masala in Edison area. Paneer and chicken dishes are great. Must try something different from iselin options.“
“Love the ambience and the staff!Food is super tasty, my favorites must try recommendations has to be:Bhel puri, Dal makhani, malai kofta, pav bhaji, raj kachori and vada pav. A combo, filling, money saver and the best in area option would be Punjabi thali- which m is amazing. This is my to-go place any day. Service is great at the restaurant especially Jeetu bhai, he is always lively and Jolly.“
“I ordered online a received a phone call confirming my order right away. Food was done fast and it was all delicious. It’s great having this restaurant in the neighborhood will most definitely be ordering again. Had the chicken curry, plain rice and plain naan bread and chicken “
“One of the best place for Indian food especially if you are missing Indian street food in US! One of the best vadapao and Dabeli you can find here.. don't forget to try the UNLIMITED PANIPURI while you are here! Must visit place! Will definitely recommend to everyone.. must try place!“
“This place is AMAZING!! we were 11 people and they accommodated us no problem even though the place can probably fit 16-18 people max.The food is far and beyond. After living in India, it was hard to find a place until we came here. If I could, I would give it a thousand starts. We are definitely coming back. The service is great. She is very nice and helpful with recommendations. All said with a very sweet smile and the most welcoming feeling.Vegetarian options: There’s plenty of really good vegetarian choices. The chap is a must if you never had it.“
