“We always have a nice experience at The Shannon Rose, but last night was exceptional, principally because of the server, Marienella. She was amazing. So nice, patient (my wife had many questions and sent her specialty drink back once for modification), sociable and knowledgeable. Marienella made our entire time there that much more special!“
“Love this place! Great food, great drinks, service is always speedy and pleasant. Depending on what time and day you go you'll have a variety of different but interesting people to chat with, unless you just feel like people watching which is fine too.“
“The absolute best dive bar I’ve ever been to! A friend and I came up from North Carolina for the weekend and stumbled upon Charlie’s…. 10/10!! We instantly felt welcomed and the bartenders are the best! Make sure you go on karaoke night!“
“Drinks are excellent, bartenders are usually great also—really talented at making cocktails. Good local beer choices. As a vegetarian I can’t speak to much of the food—fries are great, but the veg burger is very dense and not my favorite. I love coming here for a few drinks and apps. Dog friendly too!“
“This place is absolutely golden! They make great drinks and the food is honestly amazing. Drinks can be a tad bit pricey but they’re great cocktails! The service is top notch and plenty of seating! Def worth going if youre ever in the Nutley area!!Wings are great and nachos great“
“My husband and I love this place. We go frequently and sit at the bar to eat and watch hockey. The food is always good and my husband enjoys the beer list, which is updated frequently. A special shout out to John and Brendan behind the bar who always make us feel welcome.“
“My son and I visited JK's Boathouse for drinks and Thursday night Karaoke a few weeks back and enjoyed so much, I returned 2 weeks later. People are so friendly, lots of fun Karaokeers and Tabby the bartender MASTERS the bar and gets you your next beer before you know you're low!“
“This was on my list to visit and I was able to do so today. I had dinner there and the steak was good but wish it came out warmer... I think it was waiting for my friend's salmon to be cooked as her food was hotter. The mash potatoes was hot though. The espresso martini was good definitely deserves a return. Service was absolutely excellent. Mauricio was pleasant, personable, and charming also funny.Overall lovely place I would return to, for sure..maybe they have brunch I'll need to check but then again maybe not as it opens at 4 pm.Parking: There is a parking lot but it doesn't look huge and it's across the street from the establishment.. You can do street parking I don't believe I saw any meters.“
“Just what it should be! Comfortable inviting local pub with great food. Wings, burgers, pizzas, salads etc. we ordered 2 kinds of wings, garlic parmesan and buffalo. Super crispy with the right amount of sauce for the flavor and not ruin the crispness!“
“They have such a nice chill vibe here, you will really enjoy yourself. For the holiday season, they have some great window Christmas displays that add to the ambiance. Bonus points for a solid Guinness, a nice shot of Jameson, and Touch tunes serving up the jukebox jams. It's good for groups or a nightcap with a date. Unique beer selection, too.“
“The place is very unassuming from the outside but when we walked in it was full of people on a random Monday in the middle of a day in the middle of August. We decided to get the chicken cutlet sliders and the grilled chicken sandwich with french fries. The pickled onions - yummy! They were both absolutely delicious. Their beer selection is pretty good - I mostly like beers on tap but if you like other beers by can- they have a lot of them to choose. The waitress who waited on us was on top of everything and so pleasant. She was very accommodating. Prices were affordable. While we were only passing through, we would definitely go there again if we're in the neighborhood.“
“We came into the Barn and were thrilled with our service AND our meal AND DRINKS!!!!!!We met the owner when he first arrived at the BARN…..very nice man…..Last night we met the rest of the family with GREAT DELIGHT!!!!!!! Hope they get to read this as THEY WERE WONDERFUL….and the BARTENDER TOO!!!!!!Thank youCathy with a “C”Parking: The waitress told me about the new parking feature with all the tables & umbrellas….told me about Valet parking too!!!!!!!!“
“Honestly I only caught the place for the last hour of the night but I had fun and most importantly actually got that after work drink i was craving. Glad there are a few places open after the regular bar scene or staff (from other bars) would have nowhere to go and sit for one.“
“JJs Pub is that neighborhood bar that is always welcoming if you're a regular or not. The service is superb. The bartenders are outgoing who are not only very friendly but are easily accommodating to making any drink order requested. The bar food is great and the atmosphere is adaptable. Great bar to visit during sports events.“
“Great local vibes here with a solid food and drink menu. Great service as well. Outdoor seating in the warmer months. My only knock is the noise. They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. Also, live music can be very loud. I wish they'd dial the volume down a tad on their speakers.“
“One of the best places you can go to for food and drink , never a problem here , the food is killer, all the time , and taps are always super cold , the owner is one of the nicest guys you can meet , this is a lyndhurst staple in the community . Keep coming ..“
“If you are in the area, stop by this cash only bar. Friendly service, we met the owner Karol. Very friendly, we got to try some strong Poland Vodka. Got the job done! will definitely come back when we are in town. Thanks Karol for the beer opener, it will come in useful! You cruised with us at 41,000 feet.“
“Excellent Excellent, excellent. Everything was and is on point. There is a reason why this place is in business sooo many years. The wait staff was knowledgeable and charming. The oysters i had where fresh and delicious. The place is frozen in time, it gave me a 2940's vibe. ,,,“
“I had the French dip sandwich, had a Tito's lemonade ( sorry I forgot the actual name of the drink) and a Moscow mule everything was fantastic, and the band playing that night was the cowboy and the hippie. Music ranging from the late 60s to the early to mid 80s both Rock and country. Will definitely be returning!!!!!!“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Grasshopper Restaurant, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the ambiance. The restaurant's unique blend of a bar atmosphere with a focus on culinary excellence was truly captivating. For my main course, I opted for the Capellini Florenza priced at $17.95. This dish consisted of Capellini Pasta elegantly combined with succulent Shrimp, vibrant Spinach, earthy Mushrooms, and the delightful freshness of Tomatoes, all bathed in a fragrant Basil Sauce. The flavors harmonized beautifully, creating a symphony of taste that was a treat for my palate. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the vegetables provided a wonderful contrast in textures and tastes. The basil sauce added a delightful aromatic note that elevated the entire dish. What struck me most about the Capellini Florenza was its remarkable quality at such an affordable price. The Grasshopper Restaurant managed to deliver a dish that boasted fine dining elements while maintaining a reasonable price point, a feat that is not often achieved. The bar atmosphere of the restaurant added an additional layer of enjoyment to my dining experience. The friendly chatter of patrons, the tastefully curated decor, and the general conviviality in the air created a comfortable and inviting ambiance. It's rare to find a place that strikes the balance between casual and refined so effortlessly. In conclusion, my visit to the Grasshopper Restaurant was a memorable one. The Capellini Florenza was a true highlight, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen while remaining accessible to a range of diners. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a delightful gastronomic journey in a welcoming and vibrant setting“
“The other day I got, La Galera Centro Americana Restaurant, for lunch. I ordered their Meatballs w/ Black Rice & Red Beans. It was absolutely delicious! I asked the lady for more veggies than rice, and she happily obliged. I really loved their Meatballs, and also the Red Beans. Excellent flavors to combine. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and attentive. It seems like a nice, quaint, family type of place to eat. And for just a little over $10 was a complete steal. I’d def try this place again, their other menu items looked phenomenal. I’d also recommend to anyone in the, City of Orange, area looking for some decent Spanish food.“
“Very good food ! I was confused of what kinda of restaurant it is .. I didn't get the theme. But our waiter was amazing very personable and willing to make our experience the best!! I'm not in NJ often but when I am this is always going to be a good choice to eat at!!“
“I only gave the Atmosphere a 4 cause I haven't had a drink in here yet however, I did have the philly cheesesteak, the chicken tender platter and the nacho with Chilli and boy I tell you the food is on point so I can imagine the drinks. Customer service is awesome aswell I will definitely be coming back and forth when I'm in the area.Parking: Plenty available parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious ramp right in the front, very convenient.“
