It's an Albuquerque institution! The food is good, the employees are fantastic but it's about the Frontier. Go, eat, hang out and enjoy. Don't miss the Albuquerque tradition it's really a never-fail option. Try the cinnamon rolls, try the burritos it's all good.
My hotel receptionist recommended this place to me and specifically said to try the cinnamon roll. I went around 6pm on a weekend and there was no line. The food was great but the cinnamon roll was really the star of the show. I can’t remember having a better one in my life. Sooo rich and buttery. I wish I got 2.

Frontier is beloved by locals and frequented by tourists as well as college students. Great location right across the street from UNM. The vibes and eclectic decor are top notch. There isn’t any shortage of seating or space inside. However, if you know good New Mexican food the fare might leave you feeling unsatisfied. A bit bland and the chile isn’t very spicy.
