“Food was good, my husband tried the gyro. Said it is the best tasting he has had here in Albuquerque! ( could have had a bit more meat ) as for me the shawarma sandwich was meh . I want to try the empanada , sowe will definitely try again!“
“The Mediterranean food here is really tasty! I had Schwarma, hummus, dolmas and the eggplant dish. Comes with rice, vegetables, and a large pita. If this doesn't sound like enough(lol),portions are generous! The amount of food could feed 2 people easily. Price is mid-range for dining out and drinks are separate. The atmosphere is nice. Well lit, clean and dining room is spacious. The staff is kind and welcoming. We will go back!“
“Went there for lunch on a Friday. No issue getting seated right away. Definitely an interesting combo of a grocery story(which is a good place to get Middle Eastern groceries and prices seemed reasonable) and grill. My wife had a lamb shawarma, daughter had an eggplant and feta sandwich and I had a vegetarian platter. All were good—the eggplant/feta was probably the winner and all were filling. Nice stop and we will go back.“

“Met Suzanne by phone after brunching on their incredible green chili biscuits & gravy. The mini-biscuits warmed up easily in our convection oven, while the unique gravy took a few seconds in the microwave. I have to admit I have never been a fan of the traditional diner biscuits and gravy that looks like a bowl of milk with meat floating around in it. This looked more like a brown gravy you might expect on mashed potatoes. Of course, the green chilis give it that distinctive New Mexican flavor. We learned that you can order a day in advance and go to their Fourth Street store and grab and go. We will be frequent visitors I’m sure.“
“My Lebanese parents are very picky when it comes to middle eastern food and commented that the food at Shawarma Express was “outstanding” and gave it their stamp of approval. Excellent food every time! Don’t skip the appetizers! The hummus, baba gannoush, dolmas and falafel are all delicious.“
“We absolutely enjoyed their food. Amazing customer service - My sister is a fiend for bread. She wanted another pita bread after we had finished our meal, the owner gave her one for free lol. A side of pita bread costs only a dollar. We insisted on paying, but he kindly rejected making that sale. We were so thankful for his kindness, definitely bring more friends to this spot!“
“My family and I absolutely love this place. The food is really good. My wife and I are prior military and have spent a lot of time in the Middle East and the Eastern Med. The food is authentic and every bit as good as the food I had in the hole-in-the-wall places in the Middle East. The Gyros are great. The pita version is more akin to the Middle East version than Greek. The Shwarma is amazing. Actually, everything is amazing. Please give this place a try. This isn't Americanized Middle Eastern/Eastern Med cooking; this is true cultural food!“
