Nice place to eat!

Real New Mexican dining without any of the pretensions. Welcoming owner and staff, freshly prepared and delicious meals and reasonable prices. Old motel next door would make one very erroneously think this was somehow connected. We never visit Santa Fe without a meal at Pecos Trail.

The food was delicious. I had arguably the best chiles rellenos I have ever had. We are from Santa Fe, so I have had many delicious rellenos in my time, but these were amazing. The service was great, and the prices are very reasonable.Parking: Spacious and plentiful.

Never expected this place. The food was outstanding. Obviously, scratch made with love! The ribeye was cut to order, cooked superbly and equal to ribeyes I pay three times the price for!! Salsa was so good. Service was outstanding. We pass through Santa Fe several times a year and this will be our new stop. The hotel next door was also a gem!

The restaurant had a mariachi band, which was excellent and made waiting for our meal very enjoyable. We had appetizers, entrees, and dessert, all superb, good portion size, and the price was right. Our server Ana was attentive and accommodating. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly. The restaurant was hosting couples, families, and a large party, and there was no slow down in service. There's no reason you should be able to walk right in and sit right down — it should be packed every single night.

The unassuming Pecos Trail Cafe definitely qualifies as one of Santa Fe’s hidden gems. Attentive service, great margaritas, lots of delicious traditional menu options plus healthy choices (especially appreciated at a restaurant featuring New Mexican cuisine). Highly recommend the house-made flan.

Atmosphere and food were quite good. Waitress checked on us often but never refilled our beverages.

Hello, I was an employee here for a few months last year. I’d like to share some of the experiences that I had and saw while working in this establishment. When i first started, the manager was very disrespectful and brought his religious beliefs to the work environment and told me that I was ruining my body (that god created) for getting tattoos and piercings. The kitchen is extremely messy and very unsanitary, none of the chefs use gloves, the vegetables they used were moldy, the meat was left out for hours at a time. They didn’t clean the kitchen more than once every 2 weeks. It smelled horrible everyday. The dishes were stacked up next to the dishwasher overnight, sometimes the dishes were there for days. At a point I tried to talk to the owner and manager about another coworker that had made me uncomfortable (I’m 17 and the coworker was in his 50s). I talked to them and they said they’d take care of it but they never did, he would constantly hit on me, make weird comments about the way I looked as a goth presenting girl. My boss told me that it was my makeup that was the problem and he wouldn’t let me wear eyeliner, draw on my eyebrows, I’d have to go to work looking like I just got out of bed. All the costumers loved me because I was different but the staff made it very clear that they didn’t want me working there. So when I had to go to the ER for a medical emergency, the next shift I went to my boss fired me for being “unreliable” when I called out 3 times in the time I was working there. They didn’t send me my final check for 3 months after I got fired. The working environment is very unprofessional, they kitchen is unsanitary, I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The food was all good. Tamale plate was delicious with beans, rice & a side of sweet corn. The margaritas were very weak and expensive.Parking: No problems.
