“A little hidden secret in Socorro. Really good, authentic New Mexican food. I am a fan of the stuffed sopapilla and the blue corn enchiladas, with an egg on top. They have always be fast and so friendly with us. Do not let the building fool you, the food here is great!
Parking: Space is limited but always have managed to get in.”

“Delicious! Patty melt, my friend had the Reuben sandwich, our husbands had the chopped steak with gravy & mashed potatoes. One had the dark gravy &one had the white gravy!! We chose that restaurant since it was halfway from Ruidoso & Santa Fe!!”

“Best chile rellenos I've had thus far !! Their fajitas are delicious af!! I got their chicken fajita burrito smothered in Christmas sauce, so freaking good. Their menudo is yummy too ! I don't normally like enchiladas but they make it pretty decent here! Their tortilla chips with guac is also hella yummy! All I can say is I haven't had Mexican food this good in a while !! I can see why this place has amazing reviews! The staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place !!
Vegetarian options: -Enchilada plate without the beans. Beans are made with lard.
-Chile relleno plate without the beans.”

“We visited here for lunch today for the first time and let me tell you what it was so worth it. I ordered the three taco burger meal that they are famous for and substituted the beans and rice for their green chile cheese fries.
I am now stuffed to the gills and ready for the day. The food was the best me an my wife have had since we came to the area 2 months ago.
If you want amazing food at a great price you need to stop here and give them a try. Note right now it takes a little bit to get your meals as they are short a server and dishwasher at the moment, but the girls working here are doing a great job staying on top of everything.”

“Good old fashioned fast food in a relaxed, peaceful environment. Prompt service, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff that genuinely cares. And NO stupid video game kiosk to try to figure out like one of their notorious competitors.”
“Atmosphere is out of this world. Walk into the coolest lounge/bar you can find in the state and enjoy the positively unique, effortlessly nostalgic vibe. Staff is fantastic - no nonsense, and friendly. Walking in, go right for an epic retro diner feel, go left and step in time. If you liked Paul's Monterey, back in the day, you will love El Matador!”
“Great quick stop when driving through. The server had a sweet and calm demeanor for the morning which was just lovely. I like my coffee a little stronger but it was still delicious!”
“This owner is a talented baker. She was kind enough to sell us a few biscuchitos with no notice, and they are the best. I have been eating home made biscuchitos from New Mexico family members all my life and these are better than homemade. Perfect amount of anise-texture and taste is spot on. Doesn’t get better. Thank you!!”
“Ordered a large "fruit of the day" smoothie. It wasvery good.
Wheelchair accessibility: Automatic doors on North side of student center building. Parking on West side of building.”

“There aren't too many eating options in sleepy Socorro on Thanksgiving Day. So we ate at the only open establishment, the El Camino. And had a good experience. The atmosphere and decor is from the sixties, in a good way, with country and western music playing gently in the background. The menu is Mexican American. Portions are generous. The staff are friendly and attentive. We had the carne adivada which was excellent, and chicken fajita, also good. Certainly one of the more unusual Thanksgiving meals we have had, and one of the finest.”
