“One of my favourite iced lattes in the city, and the baked goods are always KILLER. the earl grey muffin is dreamy. They also have a day old bin that I utilize as a student on a budget! My only complaint is that I don't love the seating arrangement.“

“We had the pleasure of eating at Bird’s Nest today, Chicken Club Sandwiches (and we have our usual cup of coffee everyday there too) The food is outstanding, based on fresh seasonal ingredients clearly put together by a chef that has a true passion for food! The service was fantastic as always, and their staff is so friendly, and they know our usual orders by now. “Overall - a wonderful bakery. Highlights include the white sourdough (Fremont), croissants, and beignets. The homemade hazelnut spread is also to die for. Service is generally warm and the dog friendliness is certainly a bonus.There are however a few mediocre items that could use some improvement — some of the loaves are mealy tasting (esp the whole wheat sourdough) and some of the pastries are lacklustre (I find this especially with the tarts, like the blueberry tart).“

“Nour's Cafe and grill was recommended to me as i was in the area. And i was not disappointed. Friendly service. They have a speaker set up to hear each other properly. I got Nour's bagel (jalapeño and cheese) with egg, lettuce tomato. It was cut in half (didn't even ask for it ) tasty, grilled, and still warm. And bc i was still hungry, i got a small portion of their fries. MIAM! The spice they put on the fries are amazing. It adds more flavor. I would just decrease the amount of salt. The spices are enough, in my opinion. The portion was quite generous for small size.The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is the salt, and limited payment options: debit or cash.It was a positive experience overall. Thank you!“

“We went for coffee and dessert at Café Lunette, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dessert and bread. As a French person it was really good to find the servers from my country here.The only downside I would say is the quantity which is a little low in their dessert and on the baguette for the price but in any case the taste was there. “When we arrived they only had plain gutter croissants or chocolate croissants so we tried the normal ones. They were nice, it’s close to what croissants taste in France, although it’s very difficult to replicate them. I still recommend this place.Staff was very nice but the atmosphere was a bit cold in my opinion“

“Definitely recommend checking out Cabin Coffee! The aesthetic inside is really unique and makes you feel like you're in a cozy cabin. I came early in the morning for the breakfast bun combo (sandwich and coffee for just under $9) The breakfast bun was really good - definitely made with more fresh ingredients than McDonald's or Tim's. Unfortunately didn't have time to sit inside, but would love to the next time I'm in Halifax because the inside is beautiful.“
