“We really like Masago! We've been ordering their lunch specials for about a year, and the food has always been fresh and consistent with reasonable pricing for the 3 roll combo. We look forward to it every week. Once you order from them on the phone, you can leave your food and payment preferences on file, so calling them and re-ordering is super quick. Delivery during lunch time is usually within 30 minutes, and they will leave the food on your porch if you ask.“

“This cute restaurant is not downtown Ridgewood NJ.However it offers superior Japanese fare and is always busy with regulars and locals. The sushi and sashimi selection is great, they also have Udon dishes and appetizers like Yakitori ,as well as Teriyaki plates (chicken, salmon with rice), all very tasty. It can be a bit crowded on the weekends , its a popular place !The inside is a bit on the older side and if you make reservations ask for a booth, better than the tables or eating at the sushi bar (small space). They also have plenty of take-out orders on the week-end, so try to get in before 7:00pm to avoid lines.“

“This was my second time coming to the restaurant the first time I came for a dine and experience, which was awesome the second time it was a pick up order to go the day before Christmas Eve. My daughter was in town and we needed something to eat while we traveled for Christmas . I ordered the spring roll the wonton soup and the chili and basil fried rice. I really enjoyed their wonton soup. The broth has a lot of flavor in it and it's always consistently good. The fried rice has egg, bell pepper, chili, and fried onion in it. The restaurant on the inside is actually quite beautiful and has some great artwork on the wall. Just not the picture and added it here. I will definitely be back. This location is always packed for takeout as well as for dinner and I'd really enjoy their food.“

“OMG! Outstanding! Simply outstanding!!! The space is simple, but the fish is outstanding, and the service is nice and well paced. We do not consider this place to be a nice local sushi restaurant. We consider this place to be a destination restaurant. It is that good.“

“We got takeout. They always have our order ready promptly. We ordered Gra Prow fried rice with chicken, Pad Kee Mao noodles with chicken, and wonton soup with chicken wontons. Everything was delicious and with generous portions. They made it spicy as I requested!“

“Tawara is the hidden gem of NJ! I stumbled upon this restaurant during a road trip last year, and have made it a point to return to the area specifically so I can dine at Tawara again. This place makes the list as one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The pork buns are some of the most delicious things you will ever taste. The sunset roll, spicy beef and sashimi have all been fresh and incredible. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is top quality and taste. Raika is also an excellent hostess, bringing a warm and friendly vibe that makes you feel at home. Overall amazing and highly recommended!“

“Fresh and tasty, nice portions and always unique specials on the menu! Service is very good too. However, don't expect a lot of ambiance inside though. The lights are too bright with worn looking decor and dingy walls BUT the food sure makes up for it.“

“I had to deduct one star because my favorite Layl Shishi item is no longer on the menu. The VIP Cholent Plate (aka the Heimishe Sombrero) was truly a dish worthy of the VIP mantle. Cholent (bean or barley), potato kugel, kiskha, jachnun, eggs, Gedempte Fleish and two slices of garlic toast. Truly a way to end the workweek and rocket towards Shabbos. The poppers are still a strong contender tho - so I'll typically get those for my forschpeiz and get a sombrero elsewhere. Solid eating.“

“Very good sushi and well priced. You won't break the bank. A variety of lunch specials all very tasty and priced to bring you back. 3 rolls for $12.95 is great compared to other sushi restaurants. The restaurant is small but very well appointed and clean. Service was good, nothing flip over.“

“I wish they had vegan options and more vegetarian options. I used to love Bonchon before I stopped eating meat. I got the fried rice without meat and eggs and it was just ok. The vegetable dumplings had a crunchy exterior but the veggies inside were mushy which gives me the impression they aren’t made in house. My daughter absolutely loved her garlic soy chicken and fries. The staff was very friendly and nice which I appreciated.Vegetarian options: Definitely need more“

“Great menu selection for Korean/Japanese food. There is a large public parking lot with access to the rear entrance to the restaurant so it's quite convenient. The restaurant has plenty of tables and the service is good. The food is delicious and comes in large portions. Suggest you pay in cash for additional discount.“

“Really the best neighborhood Thai in easy driving distance of Suffern. Unsurpassed quality of food. Everything we ate featured the complex flavors of good Thai food. We chose to come on the first day of Daylight savings time and the kitchen was overwhelmed by takeout orders. So my dining companion was served her mains ten minutes before I received mine, hence I dropped a star. But for quality and value this place is my first choice in the Wyckiff/Ramsey area. BYOB“

“I brought my daughter here tonight for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. The tempura ice cream here was probably the best that I've ever had. The two female servers were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again and again!“
“Typical Chinese takeout place, typical menu. Ordered chicken with broccoli , lo mein, wontons, etc and the food was good/average. Soup noodles were stale, but the soups were fine. Our order was prepared quickly and was nice and hot. Kind of dingy and dated inside. Prices were a little cheaper than other takeout places in nearby Pearl River, which was nice. According to their menu, they don’t use MSG, if that’s important to you.Located next to a frozen yogurt place in a strip mall on Kinderkamack Rd. There’s a few chairs to sit while you wait for your food but no indoor tables. There’s a parking lot on the side“

“Stumbled across this hidden gem and went for lunch. It is a very small intimate location, the food was great and the lunch special is 10$ which let's be honest we don't see too often anymore. I had the chicken and broccoli and my friend had general tsos, both were delicious and a fair portion. Will definitely be returning and looking forward to trying a new item!!“

“I came here earlier this week for dinner and it was nice. Had come in when there was just one other table and the waitress was kind. The place was nicely lit, a nice dim lighting perfect for a good sushi dinner with friends. I got a special roll with tuna and spicy salmon and it tasted very good and filling.“

“First time there, sat a a table, very good overall. Fresh sushi, delicate pieces. One negative, the Spicy Shumi Sashimi Salad which was a bit too spicy and several fish morsels that were sinewy and should never have made it into a salad. Should've mentioned this to the server but didn't. Was hoping for a salad similar to the iconic Nobu Sashimi salad but sadly, no. Otherwise everything else was tasty, well prepared and served in a timely fashion. Not crazy about having to browse the menu on my phone and also would have been nice to have been prompted that its BYOB“

“I came here with my family. We received great service, quick and friendly. The food was great (Crispy Chicken General Tso and tempura rolls), and they had a wide variety of options to choose from on their menu. The establishment is clean and esthetically pleasing. Oh, and is BYB.I would definitely come back again.“

“The sushi here is incredible, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for sushi. The service is mostly quick to get the food out to you. My main issue is the customer service is not the best. They can come off rude at times but has recently gotten much better. The place is small and would be better if expanded.“
“Delicious and fresh sashimi, quick and friendly service! Part of 4 who came in Thursday night around 6:45pm, no wait. We enjoyed the all you can eat (AYCE) sushi and sashimi. My favorites are the red clam, white tuna (melt in your mouth!), squid, red snapper, and eel. We also enjoyed baked mussels, gyoza and shumai, and various other side dishes. For dessert, I loved the refreshing ginger ice cream and green tea ice cream flavors! The waitresses and waiters were attentive and refilled our tea and water, new menus frequently. I will say that their English is not great, so it's helpful that we spoke Chinese :-). Just be patient or speak more slowly if you are a customer who cannot speak Chinese! Restaurant ambiance is just okay, 3.5/4 stars. It's cozy but a little dim. Still cute. Overall I had a great time with my family and would definitely come back!“

“Nice local Japanese restaurant. I went for the bento box while my son opt for the 3 rolls sushi lunch. Big plus, they have lunch specials also on Sat (not limited to weekdays only). On the cheap side with a good bang for your buck. The food itself was good, but not amazing.Would stop by again if I'm in the area, but won't do an effort to drive there for the restaurant alone.“

“We came to this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The meal was great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.“
