Slightly overpriced for the quality. Wait staff was good. Nice facility. Don't know as I would go back. I liked it.. I didn't love it. The steak was not a great quality.. but well cooked.

I visited the area with a friend. We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night in early October. The place was not very crowded. Probably because it was close to the end of the season. The weather was warm so we sat at a table outside. I ordered the Filet and Greens. Bread was brought to the table gratis. The filet was cooked well and the meat was of good quality. But the blue cheese crumbles and walnuts were missing. I would have said something but the waitperson never came by the table to ask if everything was okay. So I just let it go. Still it was a pleasant meal with a good ambiance.

We were happy to find Cavallario's open on October 4th at 8 p.m., since so many other places had already closed for the season (we had no idea about "the season" before visiting 1,000 Islands area) or had closed very early evening. We ordered wine (decent selection), blue cheese stuffed filet, and the steak maison. They serve bread coated with a garlic butter topping, which, while it is a bit sloppy to cut and serve, was delicious! Our filets were tender, cooked to perfection (medium... 'raw' and cool in the middle) and were excellent cuts of meat. I highly recommend if you are in the area. They play excellent music to set up a nice romantic dining experience. The reason I am giving it a 4, is because of the lighting. It was incredibly bright and disturbed the ambiance, which was a real shortcoming of an otherwise excellent dinner.

I love a good ribeye and this place does not disappoint! It was huge... I ate the rest of it cold the next day and it was still great tasting! (Better fresh but I can rarely eat leftover ribeye) our server was attentive and the martini (or 2) were strong but great tasting! I stop here once a month when I'm in the area. Much better than the bar food in Alexandria Bay.

Got orange duck and it should have been advertised as duck jerky it was so deep fried it had the texture of pork rinds there was barely any meat left. Along with a pile of rice for over $30... Steaks were not cooked well at all very pink when we ordered medium. Just not the quality of food you would expect for a place where the average dish was over $30 per person

Overall, a good experience. The staff was crisp and professional which was Cavallario's biggest asset. The food was good, but not memorable. I'd recommend, as it seems to be the nicest place in A Bay, but I probably won't return myself.

Ate dinner there on our honeymoon and thought it was great. We decided to come back 50 years later on our anniversary. We were a little leary because of some bad reviews we readBut was pleasantly surprised that it was just as good as back then. I've learned that some people are never satisfied. I highly recommend this place.
Absolutely the best food and service I have had in a very long time. The food was done to perfection. I highly recommend the lobster shooters, lightly fried and so tender. Steak is cooked exactly how you order it. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Atmosphere wonderful. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

We were here for Pirate Days ?☠️ which is a very busy time already for Alexandria Bay, but additionally there was a wedding party here. We didn't unfortunately decide to stay and wait for a table. But there was live music and the wait staff was not only friendly but also helpful. I'll definitely come back to try the food and enjoy the atmosphere.
