The waitstaff made us feel welcomed and offered great advice for our dinner and drink orders. We had the octopus and artichoke apps, which were delicious. “Yummy seafood. Good date night. It was a week day, so not so busy. I was told it was difficult to get in on weekends. I had mussels as an appetizer and some kind of chicken dish (basically chicken piccata) with risotto on the side. The mussels were amazing, and they had like a broth and toast on the side. I had in mind the chicken would be a little different, but my husband thought it was really good. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. I decided I needed a vegetable, so I ordered some broccoli. They cooked it butter with some garlic slivers, and that broccoli was just delicious. I was stuffed after that, and had that broccoli taste for a little while. Amazing.“

Each were scrumptious. I had the braised beef as my main course which was moist, delicious, and just the right portion. We shared churros for dessert, which were light, crunchy, and simply divine. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. My husband and one of our bf's both had steaks and they weren't too pleased as it was filled with fat. For appetizers we also tried clams casino, and melon with prosciutto. For dessert I had rice pudding one of my favorite Portuguese desserts. I would come back.**+by the way, the owner will be closing the restaraunt in two years, retiring and moving back to Portugal. “We haven't been to Ruth Chris in a good while because the last time we were there, the whole visit was horrible; not so much by the waiter but by the kitchen and it wasn't really crowded as it could be, no where near that. This visit went off like we are used to having things go and the food to be. We both got the filet mignon and it was a nice cut seasoned well and a good amount of butter sauce, the mashed potatoes which looked so buttery and softly whipped and broccoli steamed. I ended up getting an order of broccoli with oil and garlic to go. We got the bread pudding for dessert without the jack daniels sauce on it. Everything was soooo good. Oh for an appetizer we got the stuffed mushrooms which were sooo good. They had good amount of stuffing, a slight zing to them but the only issue is that they don't have juice or sauce to baste the mushrooms. How can you not have juices for the mushrooms added from cooking? I had the pomegranate martini and I loved it. I usually don't like liquor but this drink was excellent without the liquor overwhelming the drink. I love the salt on the glass, it was very refreshing without being sweet. Santiago, our waiter who we've had on several occasions, was on point as usual with our ordering and seeing if we needed anything else including our drinks, and his assistant Jose Rodriguez was attentive as well in clearing the table, getting the crumbs off the table and then in packing the food. This was the first time we didn't have any liquids dripping all over the inside of the bag. I didn't get the sauteed mushrooms so that might have been helpful. After them bringing the mushrooms cold the last time we were there, I was not interested in testing that again. With this visit being what we are normally used to with the food, we will definitely start going back again. This was such a pleasant surprise because even the steaks were falling below standards in taste as well as looks. Thank You for restoring our faith in your restaurant.“

“Unexpected Delight at Elm Street Oyster House, Greenwich CTSometimes, the most unexpected detours lead to memorable experiences, and my serendipitous visit to Elm Street Oyster House in Greenwich, CT, was no exception. Originally en route to New Canaan, a flat tire and a subsequent two-hour wait at Mavis Tire Center presented an unforeseen predicament. Yet, what initially seemed like a dampener on my day transformed into an opportunity to explore Greenwich under the guise of a simple quest for a good meal.Braving the 20-minute walk in the rain, I stumbled upon Elm Street Oyster House, a decision that turned my misfortune into a delightful escapade. The restaurant welcomed me with a cozy ambiance that was a much-needed respite from the cold rain outside. Opting for a mix of East Coast and West Coast oysters, I embarked on a culinary adventure that was both fresh and invigorating. The highlight of my visit was not just the exquisite food but the warm and engaging service, particularly from a Brazilian server who was more than willing to share his rich experiences in Martha’s Vineyard. Our conversation was sparked by my curiosity about the Katama oysters on the menu, leading to a lively exchange about summer adventures in the Vineyard. It was this personal touch that elevated the dining experience, making me feel more like a guest than a customer.Elm Street Oyster House proved to be more than just a place to eat; it was a sanctuary that offered solace and unexpected joy on a rainy day. The combination of fresh, delectable oysters and impeccable service made the walk through the rain utterly worth it. My visit to this charming establishment was a reminder that sometimes, it’s the unplanned moments that leave the most lasting impressions.I eagerly look forward to my next visit to Elm Street Oyster House, a beacon of hospitality and culinary excellence in Greenwich, CT. Whether you find yourself stranded like I was, or you’re simply in search of a dining experience that combines great food with heartfelt conversations, this oyster house is a destination that should not be missed.“

“This was our first visit to Coast Seafood. Upon walking in we were a bit apprehensive about what our experience would be like. That apprehension was put to rest from the moment we received a warm greeting with a 'thank you for coming to my restaurant.' Our cocktails were perfect. My wife had one of, if not the best cosmopolitan martini she's ever had. Come to find out it is the owners specialty drink. The pan-fried beef goyza dumplings served as a wonderful starter. For entrees, I opted for the filet of sole that was very tasty. My wife had the special of the day, Chilean sea bass that was absolutely incredible. Lucky me, she could not finish it, so I got to do the honors. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert. The service was excellent with every need promptly tended to. We are very happy that we dined Coast Seafood. Next time we find ourselves back in Greenwich, CT we'll be returning for another excellent dining experience.“

“Over the last 20 years or so, there have been several restaurants that leased this location. A few pizza places, and now Exit 4. Although Exit 4 has tons and tons of food options, I find it wildly overpriced for what it is. There is always a long wait for food, and I just don't think the price is justified for a food hall. Despite that, the food is pretty good, and it's good for groups (if you're willing to wait and possibly all eat at different times because everyone's food will likely arrive at different points). Since groups of people tend to have different taste buds and preferences, a food hall like this is an excellent choice, as each person can get whatever type of food they want. The sushi, for example, is really fresh and a yummy option. All in all, not my first choice when I am looking for food in town, but not the last, either.“

“Welcoming, New Peruvian Restaurant in Byram, right on the Greenwich CT and Port Chester NY border. Greeted by a smiling hostess asking how she could be of assistance. I ask for a take-out menu and was guided to the dinner menu. Wanting to stay with Peruvian food I was familiar with, I went with: Chupe de Camarones; Ceveche de Pescado; and Saltado de Camarones. The shrimp soup was a little different, but as good as, any that we have had in this area. The broth had a little more milk than others and I don't believe I've ever had a couple of small pieces of chicken in the soup either. The "stir-fry" shrimp, with scallions, tomatoes, and peppers over French fries w/a nice side of white rice was very tasty. The marinated mixed fish was extremely fresh and properly marinated at the same time. It is one of the very best Ceveche's we've had in a very long time! Will we be back.....?We can't wait to sample the rest of their menu.“

“Had a great dinner there last night. Robbie is an amazing host. Had the shrimp cocktail (with a couple of extras from Robbie because, hey, we're nice people ?). The swordfish was among the best I've had anywhere at any time. Cooked perfectly. The halibut was also flaky and delicious. Yeah, it's not 5 star decor for sure, but who cares. Just go for the fish! We'll be back.“
