“Everything was very good! At first, when we arrived, I was concerned that the restaurant didn't look as it did online. However, when they took us to the back patio, we were pleasantly surprised. The only complaint was that, for some of us, it was either chilly, despite the patio heaters or too hot, because of the heaters. But, overall, a very nice experience.“

“Mister Chen’s is my new favorite Chinese food spot in Mamaroneck. Today was my first visit to this location and I was blown away at how authentic the food was. I am from Flushing, where the majority of restraunts are asian-based, but I would honestly choose this place over the ones in my area. They have a wide variety of Chinese dishes at Mister Chen’s, ranging from soup dumplings to noodle dishes and fried fish. The salt and pepper fried fish along with their fried rice was my favorite and paired really well. Not only was the food really tasty, the service and the ambiance was also very welcoming. I will be back again, for sure.“
“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“
“The food was awesone!!! And the chef was super friendly. I have eaten the Salmon, fried whiting, string beans, Mac and cheese and corn bread. All were favorful and delicious. The potato salad was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. The hubby had the ox tails and turkey wings and he was more than please! The food is definetly cooked with love! Berfil was our waitress, she was very nice and friendly. The food and atmosphere is great. I wish they played a variety of music but I still enjoyed myself. Leading up to our event, Andrea was very helpful and responsive, and the rest of the staff was just as incredible day-of. “First of all, it was not only Easter Sunday but my birthday. I didn't want to go to Manhattan; I wanted a good Italian restaurant close by and this was by far the best pick that I could make. We started with Clams Casino and Clams Oreganato. They both were absolutely, fresh, tasty and we loved them both. I had the capellini with crabmeat and shrimp and I was so pleased with the taste of the creamy tomatoe sauce and the sweetness of the crab meat and delicate flavor of the shrimp. This pasta dish was superb. My husband ordered the Seafood Pescatore with linguine. He was enjoying the dish and all the seafood ; mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp were all tender, fresh and delicious. We ordered the creme brulee with blackberries and dragonfruit. What a wonderful burst of texture, creaminess and crunch of glazed sugar browned to perfection. We have found our Italian Cucina that will be our "go to" in Yonkers. Tutti a mangiare a tavola.“

“Excellent quality food, generous portions at reasonable prices! From the outside, this place looks like a plain-looking slice shop, but it is so much more than that. The service is friendlier than you normally would expect at a place like this, and they even packed up the leftovers for us. That's always a plus in terms of service. I had the fettuccine carbonara, which was certainly above average in quality. I find that carbonara is a difficult and unusual dish to make, so it's a good way to test an Italian restaurant. This place certainly passed the carbonara test. The portion size was absolutely enormous! It was better than the carbonara I had at a certain Michelin-starred restaurant in New Rochelle! I also had the opportunity to taste the fagioli soup, spinach pizza, and eggplant pizza. Everything was delicious. All of this, and the bill was under $50, with the tip included. Can't beat that.“

There were also traditional main course options, as well. We ordered a variety of fish tacos, calamari salad, brussel sprouts, and of course guacamole and chips to whet our appetites. Each were scrumptious. I had the braised beef as my main course which was moist, delicious, and just the right portion. We shared churros for dessert, which were light, crunchy, and simply divine. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and taken care of the entire time. We began with Sonoma Saint Francis Chardonnay, with a splendid array of plump East Coast Oysters, an order of delicious Oysters Rockefeller, and hubs enjoyed his yummy New England clam chowder as he did in 2019. Entrees of: Blackened Tuna with Lime sauce, a silky Grilled Salmon Filet Beurre Blanc with pearls of Salmon Roe, and a large Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken strips. I've had the whitening combo with fried dumpling and it was okay. I thought this entree could use more flavor. “We haven't been to Ruth Chris in a good while because the last time we were there, the whole visit was horrible; not so much by the waiter but by the kitchen and it wasn't really crowded as it could be, no where near that. This visit went off like we are used to having things go and the food to be. We both got the filet mignon and it was a nice cut seasoned well and a good amount of butter sauce, the mashed potatoes which looked so buttery and softly whipped and broccoli steamed. I ended up getting an order of broccoli with oil and garlic to go. We got the bread pudding for dessert without the jack daniels sauce on it. Everything was soooo good. Oh for an appetizer we got the stuffed mushrooms which were sooo good. They had good amount of stuffing, a slight zing to them but the only issue is that they don't have juice or sauce to baste the mushrooms. How can you not have juices for the mushrooms added from cooking? I had the pomegranate martini and I loved it. I usually don't like liquor but this drink was excellent without the liquor overwhelming the drink. I love the salt on the glass, it was very refreshing without being sweet. Santiago, our waiter who we've had on several occasions, was on point as usual with our ordering and seeing if we needed anything else including our drinks, and his assistant Jose Rodriguez was attentive as well in clearing the table, getting the crumbs off the table and then in packing the food. This was the first time we didn't have any liquids dripping all over the inside of the bag. I didn't get the sauteed mushrooms so that might have been helpful. After them bringing the mushrooms cold the last time we were there, I was not interested in testing that again. With this visit being what we are normally used to with the food, we will definitely start going back again. This was such a pleasant surprise because even the steaks were falling below standards in taste as well as looks. Thank You for restoring our faith in your restaurant.“
