“Had lunch here on a rainy day with my mother. Not my first time at the restaurant and my mothers first time having Mediterranean cuisine. I enjoyed it just as much as previously , the food and service does not disappoint.The chicken soup , haloumi salad, mezze plate and the grill plate made me feel happy. Meat was perfectly cooked , soft and just the perfect amount of sides. The portions are big and definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this restaurant. Oooh, and the pistachio pizza with the spicy honey - it deserves a separate review. Loved every minute of my lunch.“

“The best kebabs in the US so far! I had the Goat Doori kebab sheermal and it melted in the mouth with so many flavors. Its a must eat here. The Andhra Chilli Chicken is really hot and spicy. Do mention spice level for chilli chicken if not you will experience the spice level like never before. I loved the saffron pancakes with the dry ice on it with beautiful presetation. The sweet potato chat was good too. Overall Super tasty food items on the menu. I would defintiely try others next time.“

“Been here a few times, and so glad that this place continues to offer Uyghur food in the heart of Flushing. Mostly have come here so far for their beef/lamb pockets in the setting of a Food Crawl and it's always an interesting fun moment for everyone. While the most recent time we went the meat was not the most tender, it's kind of like an empanada with middle eastern and Chinese flavors combined into one. It wasn't spicy at all, and the onions added a nice touch. The workers are nice and it's def worth a stop because who knows where else you'll be able to find food like this? Definitely want to come back to try the rest of their items. NYC beats other big cities in that we offer a ton of diversity, represented in our food culture and the fact that we have Uyghur food is a blessing, so take advantage of it.“

“Lokanta just opened up a few months ago. I always walked by, and i decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating and is well kept. I placed an order for pick up. I went with the mixed grill entree. It was flavorful and tasted charcoal grilled, which I love. The ambiance is alright. It isn't a dimly lighted restaurant but doesn't need to be. I will stop by again and try more of their food.“

“I recently had dinner at the restaurant and it was a pleasant experience. The papaya and shrimp salad was quite spicy, and the cashew chicken dish, although excellent, could have been better with the addition of pineapple. Although the service was out of the ordinary, the food definitely made up for it. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning there on my next trip“

We ordered 5 Mezze options (potato, cauliflower , baba ganouj, labne, and hummus) to form a platter and everything was phenomenal. “GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. GERMAN DONER KEBAB - EINE ERLEUCHTUNG Wenn man aus Berlin kommt, hat man gefühlt an jeder zweiten Ecke einen Dönerladen. Ich kann also einen Döner erkennen und beurteilen, wenn ich ihn sehe. Allein schon Berlin und Brandenburg verlassend wird das mit dem Döner innerhalb von Deutschland anders. Je weiter man sich von Berlin entfernt, desto schlechter werden die Döner. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. Und dort dann der erste Döner seit 2018 hier in New York. Ich kann gar nicht beschreiben, wie sehr ich mich gefreut hatte. Es sah aus wie ein Döner, es schmeckte wie ein Döner und kam schon recht nah an einen Döner aus Berlin heran. Richtig gut gemacht. Incl. Tax 12,51 Dollar ist zwar sportlich, aber für New York wiederum preiswert. Die Portion ordentlich und sättigend. Wirklich alles frisch und gut gewürzt. Das Brot genau so wie es sein muss, dünn und knusprig. Also das war seit sehr sehr langer Zeit so ziemlich der beste Döner (mit Ausnahme einem Besuch in Berlin), den ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. “Known as "Party BBQ" in English: Located on Broadway, between 45th Ave & Whitney Ave., in Elmhurst (in front of the Asian Supermarket which has its own parking lot).This BBQ lot has been here for years and has quite a large following. There's always a line of ppl patiently waiting for their BBQ goodness! On this Tuesday evening at around 7:30pm, it was no exception; there were about 8 ppl on line. But don't let that deter you from ordering your BBQ Skewers! The line moves surprisingly quickly. This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him!On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless.I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. “It's one of the best delicous chicken shawerma ! Tasteful and generous. We also tried adana kepab, and that was also delicious. Tabouleh was more like a salad with some parsely but was also yummy. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere can improve in terms of tables layout. I will come again!“

“This was one of the top 2 dinners we had both in the City and in the Hamptons this week and was also the least expensive. We couldn’t believe they have Chilean Sea Bass kabobs, and they are only $13 or $20 for a meal. Excellent. Also the dumpling chicken broth dill soup, baklava, hummus, pickles, fries, hot tea- literally everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. As other reviewers have written, this is a hole in the wall find, and I would come all the way to Queens to eat here again! Very near JFK. Service was fairly quick, clientele mostly large families, takes credit cards. Wonderful Israeli/middle eastern cuisine in a very casual atmosphere at very reasonable prices!“

“I love a spot that has consistently good food and you know what you're getting- that's Ayat! I always start with their mezze filistini which is served with their fresh hot outa bread! Their mixed platter for the main course has been a hit with anyone who I have brought here. It can get pretty packed and I think they have reservation options. In the summer they have a rooftop- deff make reservations for that. Be sure to end your meal with any of their desserts and their tea They have multiple locations now so there are plenty of options to find one that's close you!“

The decor is what my interior design friend described as resembling a turkish marketplace.This place offers some amazing authentic Kosher Bukharian cuisine. They have their own tandoor ( stone oven ) to make fresh bread Liposhka and Samsa.Menu offers everything you might want from lagman, shurpa, samsa, plov, 7 types of shashlik, manty and more!
