5 Best Craft Breweries near Auburn

Shepherds Brewing Company Brewery • $
132 Genesee St, Auburn

“I might be slightly biased. This brewery happens to be the closest to my living quarters. That being said, getting greeted by your name while sipping on a delicious IPA while a great band is playing really does help with this review. Keep it up, guys! Popcorn is top-notch ?“

“I went to the Fire and Ice Brew Festival and had a great time. Papa Muse was playing live music, and the place was packed with people who were dressed to the nines. The food and drink selection was amazing. I would definitely recommend this festival and would be happy to go again.“

“My best friend, my husband and I went there for an event they had in July last year and they had a bunch of vendors, food trucks etc. But the beverages they had on site were amazing! I'm not a huge beer person but man, they were fresh and yummy. It's such a nice atmosphere as well. And friendly staff always“

Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing Co. Brewery • $
8931 N Seneca St, Weedsport - 8.17 miles

“I stopped in the little town of Weedsport on my way to Northern Maine to visit my family. I picked the town because it was about half-way from my home in Indiana and was fascinated with the chance to visit a couple breweries in the area. Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing was my favorite. The owners Derric and Kristen were so kind and spent a lot of time talking with me about their journey and craft.Their beer was terrific...the best part for me was that there were no sours on the menu (it is a personal preference). Their choices tilted German with a fantastic Kolsch that was on par with Schlafly's Kolsch for me. I also loved their Marzen (American Oktoberfest) beer...it was one of top 3 for me this season.I brought a couple beers to share with them which led to lots of conversations. I also stopped by on the way back home and had another great time and dropped off an Allagash White Tripel for the owners. Bobby was a great beertender with a wealth of beer knowledge. Also, the pizza was terrific...I had a mushroom and peppadew that had me licking my fingers in the end. I did not dare get the pretzel because it was so large it scared me. LOLThis is a must stop. Bring them a great beer from your area that they cannot get in upstate New York. Great beer should be shared.“

Skaneateles Brewery Brewery • $
4022 Mill Rd, Skaneateles - 6.62 miles

“This was a super fun spot to hang out! I got the flight which had some seasonal choices. I liked two out of the four. It was four 5oz for $12. There was plenty of seating. Lots of families with kids. My only qualm was the absence of anything edible. I've included a picture on one of their fridges of a pizza place that delivers. The discount code did not work and we ended up having to cancel the order due to snow on the road so it would have taken over an hour. Other than that, there were some bags of pretzels or kettle popcorn. The bartenders were super friendly and had some good recommendations.“
