“Arrived at 7:55 unaware that this establishment closes @8 pm. I asked what time they close and the owner said 8 pm. I went to leave and he said wait where are going. We close at 8 but as long as you sit before you have time. Waitress was friendly and wasn't acting as we bothered her. Even the other waitresses were talking to us and joking around! phenomenal service Definitely do not find this hospitality or customer service now days! Sport of Kings you are top notch in our book. We appreciate and thank you so much!”

“This place is absolutely amazing. 9 times out of 10 this is my favorite spot for our Friday night dinners. I've never had a bad meal here and I doubt I ever will. I'm addicted to the broiled fish with crab stuffing and the lobster bisque is to die for, I'm not even lying. the owners are always walking around and talking to the customers and they remember everyone!! The staff is also so very welcoming and helpful. This truly is an amazing home town diner with the best food ever You will not regret giving this place a shot”

People never hesitate to complain but rarely acknowledge excellent service. I'm so bummed I didn't get her name but your management should give you a raise!! Great service and excellent food!! “My husband and I just got married there on Saturday, and he loves golfing there. The course is in great shape, but thanks to Danielle the day was absolutely perfect. “The food was so good, even the gluten free bread was tasty, and some of those products can be rough. Coffee was good and the servers were friendly and smiling. I love the dim ambience and classic decor. The vintage typewriters are very cool. I will definitely come here again.

“I get coffee from this Dunkin several times a week. My order has only been wrong 1 time out of hundreds. The employees are very friendly, especially super early in the morning when I go, which is a plus. The inside is clean and organized well, but don't expect to sit and eat or drink here, as there's only a couple small tables!”

“I liked everything about this place. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was super cool. On our way from Niagara we found this cool place and had a pit stop for lunch. Kids enjoyed the lunch. We had sphegatti, Alfredo, Lobster soup and Pizza which was customized to our liking as we don't like Beef. Thanks a ton to the person who serviced us. He really was too cool from the time he met us until our billing. He even gave us a chocolate tower cake billed on house. The cake was full of chocolate and delicious. If I have anyone visiting to NY on this way I would surely recommend this place for anyone who wish to have a nice Italian Food”

“Went there for a private Graduation ? Party. The whole restaurant and volleyball/Cornhole areas were awesome to keep people entertained. Waitress that was present was absolutely amazing. Friendly, constantly cleaning up tables and keeping hot chicken wings on the food table.”

“No our first dining experience here, but my first review. The facility is a fantastically rustic bar/restaurant run by the same family for 56 years! and counting. The octagonal dining area gives full view of an open flame grill that gives great comfort and a home town feeling. Plenty of tables and chairs, quite nicely decorated open beam walls and ceiling. Our waitress/server, Vickie is a sweet woman, very attentive to your needs and quick on the draw with drinks and food delivery. A couple came in that hadn't been in the area for decades and it was a pleasure listening to Vickie's brief explanation of the restaurant and it's history. The couple clearly felt very comfortable. On to our experience . . We enjoyed a cold beer, fresh made bread (banana and plain) and our appetizers as we briefly waited for our dinner orders. My small chef salad was just the size I ordered, garnished with a few green peppers, tomato, etc. My husband enjoyed a bowl of cheeseburger soup, he say's was also delicious. Our meals arrived: mine was a fish fry with coleslaw, french fries, ample tarter sauce, and lemon. The FISH WAS COOKED PERFECT! I loved the nicely crisped batter with steaming tender fish when I pierced the batter with my fork. The french fries a similar to fresh cut size, and cooked perfectly, as well. My husband enjoyed a plate of fried breaded shrimp and french fries. Having enjoyed the shrimp on a previous occasion we knew it would be great! Clean shrimp, no tails, cooked and ready to pop in your mouth. Juicy and delicious. Plenty of cocktail sauce. It was nice to watch Chef Maureen cooking orders over the flame grill; a nice thick piece of pork, sizzling away. Such a great dinner and friendly people. Thank you! We will return!

“I live right across the street from this place and the staff has always been super nice to me!!! The one lady that works there always waves to me and my son when we are outside!!! When I first moved into my place I was out by the Rd going for a walk and they all came and introduced themselves.... They are all so nice the food is great and it is such a melon calm bar small and very cute”

“We love Ficarella's. I can't recall any time we've had an issue because we keep going back. We got dinner from them 2 times this week and both times our order was 100% correct. Their online ordering is super simple and allows you to make almost any modification you want. They also have a drive up window if you can't/don't want to go inside.”

“Aaron was sooooo helpful! Wanted to order the $6.99 "only on the app" special for any footlong, but the app wasn't working. After showing Aaron the app malfunction, he made it work so I could still get the app deal price in store!! (#30 The Beast, super yummy!) This is rare to see these days @ most fast food restaurants or retail stores, but Aaron went above and beyond to make a customer very happy! Most food service workers these days have no idea what customer service is all about, and would have said "sorry, but that special is ONLY on the app, and even though the app isn't working, I can't help you". Kudos Aaron for showing what true customer satisfaction is all about!!!”

“The best bar in the state of New York. Frank will take care of you like a father. Genesee is $2.25 a bottle (November 2024) and the bathroom is functional. Do not visit Batavia without spending time at Kelly’s Holland Inn.”

“Went to the Burnin' Barrel BBQ (Homestretch Grill) at Batavia Downs with Dad and Mom. Tried the Half-rack of Smoked Ribs while my parents had the Pulled Piggy (no bun) & onion strings. Absolutely delicious. Portions were generous and the BBQ sauce was amazing! Very beautiful mural in the dining area too!”

“It's a plain atmosphere with good conversation amongst locals and the interior looks the exact same as it always has. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was stretchy and melty. The crust had a nice crunch yet soft at the same time. The customer service was professional and helpful. My partner asked for extra cheese. If you want to eat the pizza from a Goofy movie, order with extra cheese, it looks the exact same! It's not really a necessity tho. I definitely recommend!”

“Food was good and hot. It's a geat place to take the kids. We had to wait a bit after we were done eating for our server to return with check and to request boxes. We were also brought the wrong sauce for a meal. Not really deal breakers for me just little annoyances for the kids. The sauce was changed out when my daughter went up to a server and requested it. The staff was nice and accommodating. Lots of parking availability. The parking lot was nicely plowed especially with the weather we have had.”

Called ahead to inquire about a specific model TV being in stock. When we arrived the TV model could not be located. The initial employees' response was "so sorry... our computers are wrong..." My response was " you need to make it right" ... when I call ahead and ask if an item is in stock I expect an employee to verify that on the shelf; our family has half a day planned around the purchase and delivery of this television & insisted on escalation to a manager. I don't know who was on the other end of the escalation... but we were offered a same size, better model for the price of the TV that we originally went to purchase.
Thank you Walmart for (eventually) treating our situation with respect and fairness.”

“Every time we drive through Batavia, I’ve always wanted to stop. Today we stopped and got a couple Beef on Weck and cheeseburger. And some fried sides. Everything was great. Staff was super friendly. Service was quick. And pricing was less then you would pay at a fast food restaurant. Will go again.”

“The hot subs are pretty good. Most of the time they get orders right but sometimes mess up a bit or are stingy with the meat. Gluten free bun is pretty decent, really nice having somewhere with a gluten free sub in Batavia.

I had to tell her 3 times we needed more time to look at the menu and she kept coming back every 5 minutes (the restaurant was empty it was around 11pm) the last time we just got fed up with her rushing us so we ordered food we weren’t exactly in the mood to eat but other than that it’s a good location.”
