“Usually very reliable, but an 18 minute wait (yes, girl I timed it) for a 9:00 reservation is just not cool. Grit in my mussels, half of which hadn't opened and the artichoke was, well, very large. My friend's pasta looked like your sink drain catch after a dinner party wash up. Burger was delicious and the fries!! Great fab gay hang, go for drinks! And say hi to Allie, the best server in town! Owner is a sweetheart and very popular!“

“Had another excellent dinner at El Verano. No matter how busy it is, the Staff is always attentive and smiling. Tacos de Birria remain a favorite. They’ve added new desserts to the menu. The Pastel Del Elote is a must. You’d never expect to hear corn as a sweet treat but make sure you try this.“

“Big fan of here. Always great service and energy. Fun place to hang out, play games, and watch sports.Double happy hours M-F from 5-7 pm & 10-11 pm cannot beat that anywhere! “went with 2 other people, and one of the burgers was undercooked (she asked for no pink and there was a lot of pink). the cheese part of the mac and cheese was pasty, like it was a bechamel sauce with extra flour on instead of a mornay sauce, aka they did the flour butter and milk but added no actual cheese to it. the fries were tasty and the burgers were well seasoned. i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.“

“My friends and I were visiting the Hamptons and the restaurant hosted 11 of us, we had an amazing time. At check in we were immediately seated, the staff was very friendly and attentive. We purchased a variety of foods to share on the menu and everything tasted amazing. Pay a visit if you’re in the area!“

“Food ordered was overcooked. Both the lobster and steak. We have been to many outstanding restaurants and never had our food overcooked when we ask for medium-rare. Considering this is suppose to be a high end restaurant and we expect prices to be considerably high, you would think you would get what you asked for. The Palm restaurant has changed since its earlier days when the food was outstanding.“

“We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. Amanda was ou server and she was friendly, pleasant & attentive. The food was fantastic. I had the halibut special. It was excellent. The best halibut I’ve ever had. My husband had the shrimp scampi which he said was very flavorful. The shrimps were large. He also ordered the buffalo wings, which he enjoyed. We look forward to the next time we’re in Southampton so we can enjoy Shippy’s again.“

“Been a fan for years!! BUT!!!! Tonight doing take out was a nightmare!!!! Got there early so food would be hot ! Live 5 minutes away! Cold when I got home had to Micro!! That's not even the issue! Problem is!! $$$$ That's a given ! You go there knowing they're insanely $$$$$ ! ! But when you pay $6.00 for a side of bread and get " 1" slice of bread the line has to be drawn somewhere!!?!!??! That is close to a 200% mark up on a loaf of bread!!! INSANE!!! Very upsetting and disappointed in one of if not my favorite restaurants here!!!“

“I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt because it is good and we just need some quality places to stick around in Southampton village. It's a cute restaurant. I appreciate their decor. Adorable little swing outside and the interior is very warm and inviting. The food was actually excellent- the gnocchi was fantastic, oysters were fresh. French onion soup was actually sublime - I'd recommend it highly. Only big issue we faced was: we had vegetarians at the table and ordered very specific vegetarian food items but these items came with meat and were then consumed by the veg folks. It feels like there might be an attention to detail issue considering they are new... maybe if you have a life threatening allergy, avoid this and go to a tried and true spot.“

“Great value for restaurant week. The food was delicious, especially the salmon, zucchini chips and the fancy pound cake. Our waitress was delightful - friendly and very helpful. The rest room was clean. It was a delightful experience on a winter Sunday evening!“
