I use to come here a lot all the way from queens. Yesterday I came with a friend that never tried this kind of food and I was so excited. One of the items thar I ordered was kutab. I had the veggie kutab. At my first bite I felt something glassy in my teeth. And it was a huge piece of GLASS! Like 3 inch, diamond shape sharp on both sides and thick glass! My first reaction was sock. I asked for a manager and showed the piece of glass to my waitress. She immediately took the whole plate (I didn't even had a chance to take a picture of it) we set there for few minutes and she came back apologizing. I was still in shock because in my head were running all the senerious of what could have happened if I bite that in a different direction. I would be in ER bleeding. I asked to speak to the manager and I was informed there is no manager in but the owner is in the kitchen. At no point the OWNER did not think it will be appropriate to talk to us. We were quite and did not want to make a scene. I kept asking our waitress if he is planning to give us an explanation and the understanding was:no He never showed his face, even though I saw him passing by the kitchen several times and looking at me and our table. Now I understand that mistakes happen and we both lucky that I didn't bite on the sharp sides of that thick glass. What's bothered me most was the fact that he never even came to apologize. The owner of the establishment that saw the glass that was in my food. Ohh and he gave us la ousy 20% off the bill. $19 off to be exact. The whole experience was so unprofessional and disrespectful. Me and my friends are never coming back.
