However when I asked the server what mocktails they had he said they could do orange juice and cranberry juice. Which is insulting, might as well give it to me in a kids cup. I was there not three weeks prior and the server went to the bar to get a list of mocktails I could have and went above and beyond so I could have something other then juice or water and make me feel apart of the table. It's also very embarrassing when I get told I can have a juice, when the server looked and sounded irritated that I wasn't ordering a wine or cocktail. They called to tell me it was a mistake and they stopped delivering already, but when I explained that it was for my kids and we didn't have other options because we were heading home from the airport, they graciously agreed to make the food and deliver it to us! “If you're going to get a flat tire, I strongly recommend that you get one on NY-22, right in front of this deli, as I did. The staff are lovely (a man and his mother) and speak Italian to one another. They make their own mozzarella, soup, and at least some pastries, if not all. Cannoli are filled to order and excellent. Another pastry (crostata?), cut into squares with a shortbread-like crust, cherry jam and chocolate was even more spectacular and something that I *must* come back for. The man told me it was homemade. The sfogliatelle pastry was a little tough and stale, but the thick, ricotta-rich filling was delicious. To be fair, these things have a very short shelf life. I gave it a few minutes in the toaster oven when I finally made it home and the texture was far improved. The son patiently answered my questions [e.g. how to properly pronounce "sfogliatelle," how much the fresh mozzarella costs (about $11 / lb)] and the mother kindly warmed up some pasta e fagioli for me. Sandwiches seem to be the focus here -- the menu is vast! -- but I sorely needed the warm-you-from-the-inside-out comfort of soup at that moment. The rich broth full of red beans, potatoes, and carrots absolutely hit the spot. It's too bad that it took a flat tire to get me in this place. We've been driving by for years and have clearly been missing out all this time!“

“Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my sister, we started with steamed mussels in red sauce & divine bread. We ordered their Sunday sauce with Meatball,sausage,spare rib, bracelets on rigatoni W/a dollop of Ricotta cheese. Couldn’t finish all of it took the rest home. It was excellent!! served with crispy garlic bread. No room for desert. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Just left a crazy Thursday night at IL Forno. What a fun and enjoyable evening we had. We walked in with no reservations and the manager snuck us right in and we even got to the listen to an amazing singer. We have been here a few times, this was by far the most fun we had. Everyone was laughing. The staff which seems to be plenty was having a good time. The manager and Owners kept walking around and making sure all was good and everyone was happy. “Last week, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Il Villagio. The restaurant was highly recomended to us by my wife's coworker. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. We had a 6:30 reservation. The service from start to finish was warm, friendly and professional. We started with a crisp tender fried calamari and the roasted beet salad. So many times calamari is a hit or miss. This was an excellent version. The beet salad was tender, earthy and sweet. The crunchy pistacios and orange vinaigrette were a nice touch. My wife ordered Chicken Millanese and I ordered Gnocchi Bolognese. Both were excellent. The chicken was crisp and tender. The arrugula was peppery with a drizzle of lemon and virgin olive oil. Great balance. The Gnocchi was a great choice as there was a chill in the air. My definition of comfort food. Recently I have notice some resturants are going with a cheaper grated cheese, not Il Villagio. The Peccorino was perfectly salty and sharp. During our meal several people came over to check on us including the owner. I told he should be very proud of his staff. This restaurant is doing a great job. The provide quality service, excellent food and a warm friendly staff. It was a 25-30 drive for us. A drive I will be doing again real soon. Thank you to all“

“This is the definition of a hole in the wall pizza shop that truly delivers on quality. There are a few spots to sit and eat but we were on the run so we took it to go. Here’s how it went. Garlic knots had a lot of flavor in them. I appreciate that they give it way more than usual dob of butter and garlic. There are so many herbs in the oil that I devoured all of them instantly. The pasta fagioli was again super flavorful and freshly made. The lasagna was another fresh flavor bomb on a plate. They had my favorite type of pepperoni for the pizza, a bit of spice. The dough wasn’t thick and just the right amount to ensure the topping didn’t go for a ride without taking away from the flavor. Plus the bacon was NOT that bacon flavored flavored but junk. It was the real deal. This was definitely an awesome meal. You definitely need to add this to your takeout list!!!“

Zuppa de Pesce was so delicious, chicken francese so good and the chicken practically melted in my mouth. Everything overall was cooked to perfection. “Love Maria's Pizza when we moved up here to Yorktown a few years ago Maria was the first pizza shop we ordered from and they never disappoint. The service and delivery is great and everybody's always very nice when they answer and take our orders. Definitely recommend Maria's pizza and we're definitely going to try there. The drunken chicken is my favorite chicken Parm pizzas excellent. Tried the new cannoli chips and dip loved we're gonna soon try Maria's famous 3 foot pizza cause we'll be having a gathering so we're gonna try that when ordering it arrives early and hot so if you're in the Yorktown area, try Maria's Pizza. “A cozy Italian-American in Mahopac on Route 6, that is worth a trip from anywhere! The review, may sound like hyperbole, but it's not! A friend mentioned it had good food, great prices, and table service and he was going down there, so we all stopped in for lunch. Great decision. The prices are very reasonable! One of the best Italian-American restaurant/pizzerias I've found in years; and I've eaten more than my share of pizza in many countries. Only top quality ingredients are used! We each ordered a different 12" pizza, one for each of us. In hindsight, we could've ordered one pizza that the three of could have shared and would we have been satiated! My significant other ordered a prosciutto and arugula pizza. She had one at Cancino's in Mexico City November 2019 and LOVED it. We've never seen it on another menu here. So, when she saw it on their menu, she ordered it right away! It was perfect! There was about 4 ounces of arugula and the $20 something a pound prosciutto on it. See the photo. No crispy cremated prosciutto chips nor wilted arugula arrived to the table. My friend had the red meat pizza. It looks like about a pound of sausage meat and a whole pepperoni was sliced and put on his pizza. He kept picking pepperoni off his pizza and putting it on ours. What we had looked like a normal pepperoni pizza; there was that much on his! There was a small group who ordered pasta dishes. They looked great also. Yelpers get a 10% discount.“

“The next stop on my CertaPro Painters Pizza challenge was Amores in Katonah. Lots of options in the display case. I went with the meat lovers and the caprese. Cookies JUST came out of the oven and the place smelled amazing. Had to grab me one of those. Staff was friendly, a good experience and I’d go back.“

“After eating here a few times for dinner and or lunch we decided it was a great place to do our office holiday party. I had noticed they have a private room with large glass doors and inquired about booking it. They got back to me really quick with a better deal than anything else local we could find, meal options, etc. But honestly we would have paid more. They printed us out menus for our event. They lined up two tables for dining and have the extra tables for a white elephant gift exchange. We chose to have appetizers served family style (nanas bread with cheese sauce and marinara, crispy meatballs ( these were so good!) tomato and mozz salad and calamari) there were a few plates of each dish placed and timed so we weren’t overwhelmed . Then we had four options- chicken piccata, halibut, pasta ragu and a vegetarian option. After this came out we did our gift swap and then had coffee accompanied by tiramisu and a lemon crostata dessert. This didn’t feel like a under thought buffet style party. It came out in courses- we had plenty of time to enjoy each other outside of our office. We didn’t feel rushed. The wait staff was so on top of everything. No one had to ask for refills etc. Multiple managers came in to check on us periodically ( and the owners brother) and they packed up whatever we didn’t eat. We actually took all the desserts back to the office. All in all I would 10000 percent suggest this for anyone looking for a party location. While we enjoyed it for a large office plus spouses Christmas party, it was spacious enough that I could see rehearsal dinners, retirement parties graduations etc. Everyone left happy! We’ll be booking it again in the future.“

“Food was good. Service was quick the location is nice but it's a little small. I only had typical El Salvadorian pupusas. They were very good. I would go back for those again but seems like a lot of people came for the soups. Which I didn't try. It gets busy but mostly take out. I would order the Spanish food since everyone there is Spanish. I don't think the Italian side of the kitchen will be as good as the el Salvadorian one since there is not Italians cooking it.“
