I tried Metate for the first time this week at lunch time after hearing a buzz about it in the neighborhood. We each ordered 3 tacos. The shrimp and steak tacos were very good. I wasn't crazy about the lobster taco because it just tasted fishy. My daughter really liked the chicken Tinga and chorizo taco the best. The waitress was very nice and served us quickly when we told her we were short on time. It was delicious reasonable and I will be back.
What a great authentic Mexican Restaurant. We were welcomed at door by a friendly worker very welcoming . The guacamole was one of the best I have had. The food was just a good. If in the area you will not be disappointed!!!

There were two other locations. The one in north Yonkers unfortunately closed but the Riverdale site (and this one) are still going strong. Great happy hour, solid plates, and great service. Drinks are well done. Parking can be a problem and there aren’t many tables when the place is popular, but worth it.
