“Crazy busy the day we were there, but they were very accommodating. Food was delicious, though they forgot our appetizer, but made up for it with an extra round of drinks. Some chairs were scary to sit on, and I had to change chairs since it was so wobbly. I thought it might collapse under me.“

“I had the Lasagna. The portion was very large and it was pretty good. It could have been warmer but I didn't want to complain since it was slammed on a Sunday night with everyone in town for the eclipse. The house salad and dressing were very good. The bread was also nice and was served with butter and seasoned olive oil.“

“We went to an event at Barbagallos and we're totally impressed with the food, the service, and a great, private room that was just the right size. The gluten free offerings were so tasty! Antipasto, mixed veggies, potatoes, and sausage with peppers and onions. My favorite was the mixed veggie: cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots - perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. I couldn't eat the fried chicken but it did look crispy and tempting. Drinks included bottomless mimosas and a cola. The mimosas had real orange juice in them. I don't think they were stirred because the top layer was not carbonated but the bottom was. Either way it was delicious. We were able to decorate the room as we wished which was a big plus. Everyone had a wonderful time!“

“Its a local bar / restaurant, so my rating is based on the type of place it is. The food was awesome and tasted homecooked. Service was friendly and caring. It appeared that most of the patrons were local folks that were regulars. That's says a lot to me. I asked if Sandy was there, and she was. She was in the kitchen doing the cooking. The cost included a wine and 2 choc milks. I will go back.“

“Music was way too loud. Waitress told them to turn it down, but as soon as she was done taking our order, they turned the music right back up. The bass was up so high, it felt like it was booming in your chest. My husband had to take his hearing aids out because it was so loud. Then we couldn't even hear each other talking. Fish was good. Mac and cheese was very dry. Probably won't be back. It just isn't a good atmosphere for older people.“

“Treated myself to a Rubin Sandwich today at TOUCH OF BROADWAY DELI in East Syracuse...used to be Doug's Fish Fry. I admit I was a bit skeptical, it being new to me and pricey, HOWEVER, I cannot remember the last time I had such a Succulent, Delicious, Tender, freshly made, served hot Rubin. Nice! Will definitely re-visit TOUCH OF BROADWAY DELI.“

“Parking: The sandwiches are excellent and very generous. It is difficult in Syracuse to find a good pastrami sandwich, and I don’t know of any other place that offers tongue, which is particularly good here. The soups change daily and the varieties I have had here were all very good. In addition to the dessert list, they offer outstanding baklava.“

Seasons Tavern American • $$

“What a find in the Double Tree Hotel in East Syracuse, NY! We stopped for the night in East Syracuse on our way to Boston. We arrived late into the city and were looking for a place for a late-night meal. We lucked out with the find of the Season Tavern inside the Double Tree Hotel. Our first choice was the Salt City Smashed Burger. The burger arrived large with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese on a Brioche Bun/Roll with fries. The burger was great and the presentation was very good. Our second choice was the Street-Style Fish Tacos. This treat arrived with Red Snapper, Napp slaw, Pico De Gallo, Cotija cheese, Chipotle Aioli, lime, and Cilantro. All of this was served on our choice of either flour or corn tortillas. We picked the flour tortillas. We had a choice of either a salad or chips as a side. We went with the salad. Just like the burger the tacos were great and the presentation was very good. We enjoyed our meals with glasses of wine which were appropriately priced.Once again, I wish Google would allow ½ stars. The Season Tavern is a solid 4 ½ stars. This was great bar food at a reasonable price. The service was over the top; thank you, Ms Kim! We don't travel this way much, but if we do, we will make sure we stop and dine at the Season Tavern. Enjoy!“
