Byrek (tried both spinach and cheese) are best I’ve ever had. Greek(ish) salad is so good with the figs. Carrot soup also amazing. Upon entry the ambiance is a nice laid back chill cafe with plenty of seating and nice lighting. The service was at the front where you place your order. Since it was my first time, the staff helped navigate me into the traditional meat burek and a nice peach juice drink made from an albanian company.it was delicious and very affordable. The person I spoke dealt with did not apologize/seemed annnoyed and it happened both times with her. “Simple place to get some food and warm drinks in Winter, cool drinks in the summer. They've got maps and books for sale. Only problem? Not enough indoor space for the tables. Outdoors is okay in the summer when it's crowded. But it's always crowded here, especially in the summer. They close the parking lot when it gets full. Be prepared to park somewhere else like the boy scout camp on the other side.“

“This place is GOOD. I've only ordered takeout but every time I order, the food comes promptly, correctly, and nice and hot. I've gotten their churro French toast, chilaquiles with salsa verde, pancakes, and birra quesadillas. I don't have a single complaint about any of it, really so yummy and amazing. The pork was nice and tender, used a plastic knife to cut easily. The place itself is honestly a questionable place, hole in the wall place. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat and good coffee with a spot to get some work done or sit outside in the warm sun, Earlybird is a great option! I found Earlybird when I was looking for a local North Bronx cafe that made avocado toast with soft-boiled eggs (SPECIFIC, I know), and this was everything I was looking for.
