“Always get take out, but ate in with a few friends on a busy Saturday. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions to my friends, and our food was delicious. I love the chips, but sometimes they can be a little too crispy/burnt…otherwise solid, good, not dietetic food!“

“The vibes: immaculate. The food: delectable. The wines: mouthwatering. The cocktails: fiendishly good. The service: warm like family. Bellacosa is a treasure and a gem with full marks across the board. Go with a big group and taste all the tapas, get the cheese board, share bottle of excellent wine, and split as many of the taste desserts as you can. Go with a friend you need to catch up with and talk and talk while you eat a handful of tapas and sip wine by the glass (by the bottle or the glass, the wine selection is distinctly superb). Go on a date for a romantic evening of staring into each other’s eyes while gentle jazz or funky beats plays not too loud and not too soft. Every aspect of the menu, the cocktails, the wines, and the space itself is crafted with thoughtfulness and intentionality. These are people who want to provide an elite level of service and they DELIVER. Go at any point of the year for a lovely time!“

“This cozy spot stole our hearts with its chill vibes, perfect for both date nights and gatherings with friends. ✨ The music sets the mood, and the bar seems like the place to be next time for an even livelier atmosphere.Food: The Kalifornia, Shrimp hand rolls, and Fish + Chips Takos were absolute winners - fresh, flavorful, and left us wanting more. The pork dumplings were decent, but we've had better. The Oyster Mushrooms, although tasty, were a bit heavy on the batter.Drinks : The Suntory beer was refreshing, but the Paradise Lost stole the show - a tropical explosion that balanced sweet, smoky, and spicy notes perfectly. Highly recommend it!Overall, a charming spot with great potential. We'll definitely be back to explore the menu and bar scene further!“

“I have been coming here for years and in short: I highly recommend it. Not just for wine but for the delicious food, ambiance and the staff is great too. Every time we come here we have a wonderful time, they have literally always brought their A game. I love everything about this restaurant and this review is long overdue. Now the long story:The location is great. Hastings is a 15 minute drive from the city but makes you feel like you're a whole world away. Boro6 is within walking distance of several unique small businesses including a vinyl shop and boutiques. Everything is centrally located on Warburton ave or on Main Street where you can find plentiful parking. The area is a hidden gem and makes you feel like you're actually in a small town as opposed to minutes from NYC. It's perfect for scenic views of the Hudson, an afternoon stroll, then dinner and a glass of wine at Boro6.Now more about the wine bar... it is so nice to see the attention to detail and how much they genuinely care about the dining experience. Everything is hand crafted. The menu has so many options and they add new items often with well thought out pairings making each visit unique. The food is always delicious.THE WINE! In the last year or so they have released their own house blend which we were very excited to try. Needless to say it did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious yet still gives the cozy vibes you desire from a wine bar. The staff is so nice, its evident that the owner really cares as you can tell a lot by the way the staff interacts not just with clients but with each other. When I come back I promise to add pictures to my review but after having yet another wonderful experience here I just needed to take a moment out and give them the kudos they deserve. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and the staff/ kitchen are very accessible.Dietary restrictions: Chef and staff are extremely accommodating.“

“One of my favorite places in NYC.Food, Service and Ambience are always amazing here.Live music from local artist Thursday to Sunday. The secret to the success of this establishment is the staff. They are hard working, attentive, and always make you feel welcomed, like family. Bartenders usually know what you are drinking when you come back the 3rd time and are always quick to serve, even when there is no space at the bar. In the kitchen is the matriarch, Mama Henry, the Owners mother. She makes every sauces, flan, beans, and many more items from scratch.Happy Hours are from open to 7:00PM on weekdays, their sangria, margaritas are strong and on point and come in many fresh fruit flavors. Some must haves on the tapas are the empanadas, mofonguitos, pulpo, tostones and chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, canastitas de bacalao, for mains the churrasco, paella and salmon are amazing.I used to bartend here for 6 years and I never once was tired of the food, this place is like family to me.Truly a neighborhood gem.“

“Where do I begin?!!! I have been trying to get a reservation at Tentempie Madrid & finally received my call for a table... The Owner Carlos called to discuss his availabilities and mention that Tentempie Madrid is a traditional tapas with only small plates, NO MAIN COURSE and house wines and beer... Loved the call, perfect table for two at 7:30!My boyfriend and I were greeted by the Owners wife, and seated right away... She was just as lovely! What a great duo!! My boyfriend & I could be wrong BUT they seemed to be the only two running the magic over there... And they do it very very well!!!!! What a treat we were in for!!!FOOD: 5 STARS! We started off with drinks, we were unsure of which wine or beer to go with and Carlos's wife had no problems letting us taste them so we enjoyed what we ordered... LOVED THAT!!! There were so many choices... After we made our decision we put ourselves in the mindset to sit back relax & not RUSH.... Seems like (well i'll speak for myself as an American) we RUSH through everything... For food we did order the paella (made to order and takes about 55 minutes) again NO RUSHING, enjoy your wine, tapas in between, & your company.... Every dish we ordered, the flavors just took us right to Spain! We had the Jamon Iberico (order that!) the SHRIMP!!!! I'm still thinking about it, and every other dish!!!!!SERVICE: 5 STARS! Top notch!!! She didn't skip a beat with us or any other table for that matter! Very impressiveATMOSPHERE: 5 STARS! Small intimate piece of gold! Barrel high-tops and a few tables... The bathroom was spotless, that's a thing for me...After dinner service was complete, Carlos who is also the Chef checked in with every table with his lovey wife and offered us a traditional house after tapas drink (i can not remember the name, but it was so good!)Also, I did ask the Owner her name... It was a very beautiful name that I have a hard time pronouncing and unsure how to spell. (my apologies that I keep referring to her as "she")Thank you guys for such an unforgettable night.“

“I recently ate here and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The warm ambiance and rustic decor created a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the Spanish chicken. The menu boasted a variety of flavorful dishes, each showcasing the chef’s expertise in combining traditional Spanish flavors with a modern twist. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a crispy, golden exterior that left my taste buds dancing. The appetizers were equally impressive, with options ranging from patatas bravas to chorizo croquettes. Each bite was a burst of Spanish authenticity. The chef’s commitment to using high-quality ingredients was evident, enhancing the overall dining experience. The drink menu featured a well-curated selection of Spanish wines and cocktails that complemented the meal superbly. The sangria, in particular, was a refreshing choice that added to the festive atmosphere of the restaurant. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in presentation. Each dish was a work of art on the plate, showcasing the chef’s dedication to not only taste but also aesthetics. As for the dessert, the churros were a delightful way to end the meal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and accompanied by rich chocolate dipping sauce—a sweet ending to a savory journey. In summary, this Spanish chicken restaurant exceeded my expectations. From the inviting ambiance to the delectable dishes, every aspect of the dining experience was carefully crafted. “Ended up here for dinner because my daughter really wanted ramen. We had the Kara-age chicken (my choice) and edamame (her choice) to start with, both were decent. We both tried a different ramen, I had a spicy one from the specials menu which I enjoyed, it was really good. They have a kids menu with affordable choices but of course my kid didn’t want anything from there and she only ate half her ramen and didn’t care for the pork belly or really most of the toppings. We finished off our meal with the mango pudding which I thought was amazing. I thought it was definitely kid friendly, lots of families with kids dining the day I went. Service was ok, a bit on the slower side but I guess they were a bit busy. Overall I thought it was pretty pricey and not 100% worth it which means next time I would look for a different ramen spot in the area to explore.“

“Food 4/5 - shoutout to the mofongo Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5: given the pricing I was expecting a nicer set up. It was large inside with plenty of seating (not always the case in nyc) but the music was super loud Prices: $$The mofongo de camarones is fire and freshly made but we got costillas de chivo (goat ribs) that were well seasoned but cold on arrival. We also got maduros (sweet plantains) which were freshly made and super hot. They weren't on the menu but we asked for them anyway. It was nice of them to make for us. The served asked a lot of questions, upsold me on having pork with my mofongo de camerones (asked if I wanted pork and I said I will take it however it comes - turns out it cost more). She forgot one of the drinks i ordered until I asked. Another waitress covered for her and was friendly. You have to order in Spanish which wasn't a problem for us. Service was fairly slow during a not busy time.I did notice this places has hundreds of reviews on Google maps and very few on Yelp which is why I'm leaving one here. It's definitely legit Dominican but not everything is made or heated to order (ex. The goat ribs were premade).
