“It's a fun place. We enjoy it. I had been there before with my son Jason Rupp. On Labor Day, I went with three other women to enjoy a reception for the art of the Women Surf Film Festival. Great atmosphere and food. I had a vegan taco plate I shared with friend Raquel. Also, I shared a perfect Pina colada with friend Suki Rae. I also liked my cold and refreshing watermelon ? drink. We four danced (including friend Laurie) to the music of the DJ. Friendly place. Laurie and Raquel ordered and loved their Mexican-style corn ? on the cob. Suki liked the fish taco with all the trimmings. You eat picnic-style. While it is not on the beach, this spot is worth visiting. Colorful art. All ages would enjoy it here.“

“Everything is great. Coming here over 25 yes. One thing I noticed who's overall incharge he is no Tony. And never will be. Stained tablecloth oil bottle on table dirty and greasy. Dirty windows. Tony would never have put up with that. I also miss his cooking. It's the little things. But Tony would never put up with this. Everything had to be perfect.“

“Went here last weekend to have lunch with our daughter who goes to St. Johns. Parked right on the corner (Metered ) no parking lot for those wanting to know. Mostly college crowd. “I had a delightful experience at Zaitun Halal on Parsons Blvd in Jamaica, Queens. The Chicken over rice was absolutely scrumptious—perfectly cooked with just the right blend of spices. The flavors were bold and the rice was fluffy and aromatic. Additionally, the meal came in very nice packaging which kept the food warm and was quite convenient. The service was friendly and the atmosphere inviting. A must-visit spot for anyone looking for top-notch Halal cuisine!“

“Their falafel mahshea might be my new favorite falafel in Queens. Stuffed with feta cheese and green olives. Served fresh and hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They have another version stuffed with eggplant and harissa that I’ll have to go back and try. Really enjoyed the chicken shawarma bowl too. The toppings and sauces made this a great dish — artichokes, garlic eggplant, feta cheese, garlic sauce and harissa. They also have excellent lemonades. I had the peach ginger and my husband had the Moroccan mint. They have a lovely covered backyard to eat in. Great choice for lunch or dinner near the beach.“

“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“

“One of my favorite bars to go to on the weekends! The food and service is great. Nachos and the sliders are always the best, great selection of beer and cocktails. The music could be a little lower since you can barely have a conversation with another person.“

“I have had this bar on my radar since I saw multiple posts about this place on Instagram in the past. I came in for brunch, and I think this place is super cute, and I got such a great view of the water while dining outdoors. Owen was my server, and he was very friendly. The service getting my food and drink was a tad slow, which was understandable as I saw the restaurant was having a private event inside. They have a decent sized menu with reasonable prices, and the Meatlover Omelet I ordered tasted really good. They also make a great bloody mary as well. I was surprised that I didn't have an issue finding street parking in this area as they don't have a parking lot. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I will definitely stop in again the next time I drive to the Rockaways.“

I've never in my life tasted such amazing food like this and to be honest I'm very critical and hard to please when it comes to food so like always I was waiting to either be let down or not that impressed but I was shocked I live in the City and I order from these guys 2 sometimes 3 times a week. “Visited for the first time today and fell in love. Decor is beautiful as long as you like blue, vibe is relaxed, food really delicious. I had an omelette with asparagus shallots and feta and it was fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Home fries and toast were top quality. “No frill place. You choose your entrees over rice. 2 meats $15.50 3 meats $16. Just a great deal especially since the food is made fresh daily. So by the evening time the most popular dishes are sold out. I believe they switch up some of the meats monthly. Garlic pork and spicy ground pork are my go to’s. The space is clean and very cute during warmer weather. And the workers are always welcoming.“

The homemade pretzels come out hot with a crispy out side and a soft inside. The staff were helpful and friendly. The ambience makes you feel like your in Germany. The waitress helped me order my. Most of the names for the dishes are in German with English descriptions. I order the 3 different types of German sausages with sauerkraut. The staff was super friendly and very patient, which was very appreciated because we were a party of 12.The food was delicious and very flavorful with a good amount of spice. When you order, you are able to choose the spice level from Mild all the way up to Thai Spicy (which I don't even dare to try, haha). Both the Thai Iced Tea and Lychee Thai Iced Tea were very good but a little too overly sweet for us, so we had to dilute it with a little bit of water.Wonderful little restaurant with great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
