“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“

They have fire pits in the back in a covered area with large screen televisions and exceptionally friendly staff. The outdoor garden is a hidden gem where you can hold family gatherings and have a great time. They have great entertainment on weekends and provide the best in service. “A few things to consider here include the happiness that ensues between Tuesday and Thursday. When Richie works, forget it. You truly feel at home! Free Pool on Mondays is a plus. They host several events frequently and the owner is very generous and brings in Free food. Hoagies, wings, macaroni salads and so forth. Every three drinks, you get a buy-back. The crowd is lax, ranging from 30's to 60's. Everyone seems happy. They offer Touch Tunes services as well. The bartender Richie has exemplified customer service. He is charismatic, forgiving and dives into conversation with you. I had him make me an Aperol Spritz and it was exactly as I remembered it from my 21st birthday. Then I had him concoct me two Bloody Mary's and he made them from scratch. “This was my first visit to JPs. I thought it was great! Nice place to sit and unwind. I played a little Quick Draw and drank my drink. Mind u not shy with the alcohol. The bartender Luisa was just the sweetest woman! U could tell she really loves her job. Very attentive and accommodating. I also tried their food. I had fried zucchini sticks and mild buffalo wings. They came out piping hit, watch your mouth, lol. Luisa makes the marinara for the zucchini sticks. Delicious!! Also the night I was there they had live rap performances from local rappers, that was fun too. All and all I would recommend JPs to anyone looking for a great night out! I will definitely go again. They have a pool table which isn't the best but definitely does the job. Pool is $2 a game. They have cheap beers in tap and also had UFC on which is a huge plus.“

“It's Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were in the Glen Head and Sea Cliff area. We decided to have a light lunch locally. My wife had been to Gallagher's Pub in Sea Cliff the previous night with her girlfriends and thought they had great food. We walked in to a quaint Irish pub and were greeted by Marcus. He smiled and remembered my wife from the night before. We sat down and viewed the menu. Nice selection of food and drinks. We ordered some drinks. My wife had a soda and I had Smithwick beer. A good Irish ale. We decided on the French onion soup. It was served hot and was delicious! We ate and talked and some of our friends came in and visited with them. Good times. My wife was full after the soup , so she ordered some French fries. I ordered a buffalo chicken burger with onion rings. I thought I try something different the chicken burger was great and the onion rings were perfect. We enjoy our meal and visiting with our friends. Marcus gave us a tray for our leftover with a note on the cover. See the photos. It seems Marcus adds a special note to his customers. This was a nice and unexpected surprise. We enjoyed our time at Gallagher's. The wait service was excellent, the food was great and the atmosphere was friendly. I strongly recommend Gallagher's Pub. “Where to start? Shines is hands down the best bar in the West End! Staff is great; always available for a conversation a laugh and a good time. The reason for me writing this post is to appreciate the level of care and concern for safety of all patrons that the staff has. I won't write out the entire thing, but on one occasion I was being followed/had someone not leave me alone. Mike, Tom and (another) Mike made sure that the guest left and kept me safe while he was leaving. They made sure that the unruly guest didn't see me leave or follow me, and got him to leave me alone while I was at the bar. Its great to see a group of people that put the safety of their guests at the forefront of their business even if it is a busy Sunday Night. Also, drinks are on point, and while they don't serve food, they are always open to you ordering/eating outside food at the bar while you have a drink!“

Arrive early so you don't have a long wait. (absolutely worth it if you do). Raquel is the best! She is welcoming, friendly and lovely to chat with.
