“Full marks across the board, everything on the extensive menu is great with the Irish mixed grill and the salmon being my favorites. The portions are huge the servers are all terrific and in the evenings and weekends there is always a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to all food lovers and double recommend it to those on a budget“
“Definitely lived up to the social media hype and no doubt best tavern burger in Queens. One can choose any burger on their extensive burger menu with a side of fries or onion rings for less than 20 bucks, it’s a deal I’m willing to sign up for every day.We went on a Thursday late afternoon and place was energetic and lively, just what you expect from a well-known busy tavern. I can only imagine what it’s like on weekends when they have live band.Donovan’s is the real deal.“
“Great local bar with a very large selection of beers and delicious food cooked to order. All kinds of great bands on different nights of the week. They have fire pits in the back in a covered area with large screen televisions and exceptionally friendly staff. If you're in town in Rockaway Beach, definitely a place to stop by and have fun with friends.“
“The prices are super cheap. Bartenders are always friendly they have a jukebox and vending machine and sometimes they cater food. The game nights (connect4, cards, chess, checkers, dominoes and video games) are absolutely fun. Brother Rob always makes sure everyone has a good time!“
“the friendly neighborhood pub you imagine from TV shows. the staff are super friendly and welcoming. we always have a good time enjoying a drink and laughs. there are darts and pool in the back, too! can’t recommend highly enough for get togethers small and large.“
“A warm inviting Irish bar with- surprise! A beautiful stage set up with wonderful sound man and of course-Sunday nights the treat is seeing legendary music promoter FRANK WOOD work his magic.Another surprise - the bar regulars actually come to the back room to listen to the music! Friendly crowd , nice bartenders, generous drinks! Easily accessible from R train- come visit this gem of a bar!“
“I can't believe this place is down the block from my house and I didn't know. Granted I just moved to the neighborhood, but I can see this becoming a favorite spot. The service was great( maybe the server name was crystal , I'm really bad with names ) ! Food could be at a 3 but if service is great that bumps it up to a 4 . In this case , service was great and food was amazing. Hit the spot. Next time I go I'll repost with pictures ... I was too hungry to snap pictures.“

“Great place to have a drink at good prices and you can bring your own food from nearby restaurants to eat inside or back beer garden. Booked accommodation for family with Mike and he gave excellent service and a great deal for a longer stay. Highly recommend contacting Mike for hotel and event bookings as he cares about his customers and business.“
“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“
“In my personal opinion, the best bar in Woodside is undoubtedly exceptional. The bartenders exhibit a remarkable level of friendliness and attentiveness that never fails to impress me. It bewilders me to encounter reviews that contradict my experiences, as I have consistently had nothing but delightful interactions here. One aspect that sets this bar apart is their mastery of crafting Irish carbombs. Every time I've indulged in this classic concoction, it has been flawlessly executed. Furthermore, their pouring technique when it comes to serving Guinness is nothing short of perfection. Without fail, each pint is bestowed with a flawless pour, resulting in a velvety smoothness that delights the senses.Beyond the bartenders and libations, the clientele I've encountered at this bar have always been affable and laid-back. It fosters an atmosphere of camaraderie and warmth, where strangers can easily strike up a conversation and forge connections. The overall ambiance contributes to a consistently great experience, ensuring that every visit is nothing short of memorable. To sum it up, Sean Ogs has consistently provided me with exceptional experiences. The combination of friendly and attentive bartenders, their Irish carbombs, the flawlessly poured Guinness, and the welcoming clientele make it an unparalleled establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an enjoyable and memorable night out.“
“Tonight I got to hang out with a very, VERY old friend, in our old neighborhood. That was fantastic! As a bonus, our positively lovely young bartender ("Kat"), in addition to providing handsome pours of delicious single malt scotch, was also studying for her pilot's license, so we got to geek out on that! What is splendid night!Seriously, Kat is a Treasure. I got to see how she made other patrons feel Cherished, and it NEVER made me feel it was just for tips. She's the Real Deal“
“Was there Monday for happy hour. Buy one get one free appetizers is a great deal, can't take leftovers with you, understandable. The Ahi tuna and fish tacos were large portions and delicious. Johanna the bartender was friendly and attentive. The gentleman (dougie?) who came on after her I can not say the same about, he was rude and unfriendly and talked poorly about the previous bartender and a waitress in front of customers.“

“So this place is a neighborhood pub with surprisingly good food, well poured drinks, and a nice draft beer selection. The crowd is a mixed bunch of folks from all walks of life and friendly. It has been here a long time and is a popular hangout for good reason.“
“Had an awesome time here with good people. We were in Queens on a COVID contract so we didn’t know there area. This is probably the coolest place we found. True Irish pub, good service. Little pizzas you can order at the bar. Very generous people working there and hanging out.“
“The Bartenders are nice & down to earth people, especially Kerri who is excellent. I always enjoy the vibe of the other people who come to the bar too. Very good atmosphere and very clean. I drink there from time to time and they serve a good variety of drinks there.“
“WOW!WOW!WOW! Best burgers ever! The two sliders were huge and shareable because we ordered the mussels. One of the best mussels I have ever had! They are swimming in an extremely flavorful broth that was taken home to use with pasta and shrimp the next evening! That was incredible too! The restaurant is small but was cozy. Arrive early so you don't have a long wait. (absolutely worth it if you do). Raquel is the best! She is welcoming, friendly and lovely to chat with. She is very busy but she makes you feel at home and like you are dining with your best friend. She makes visiting a lovely experience. I lived in the area for many years and it took me moving away to finally come here. What a mistake on my part! I plan on making this one of my Must go to spots whenever I am back in the neighborhood!“

“It was a chill vibe. I went on a Saturday night and there were maybe 5 other people there, drinking and watching the hockey game. I paid 11 dollars for two cosmopolitans, not bad for the area. Plus they were STRONG and the bartender was quick and attentive. I would come again. I wish there were games there. I only saw the darts, maybe I missed it. It's pretty dark and dated like someone else mentioned. In any event, I would come again. Good spot to start the night out bar hopping.“
“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“
