“This is by far my favorite restaurant of ALL TIME. It is the most unassuming, hole-in-the-wall place but damn is it good. Everything is made homemade and beyond fresh. The homemade gnoochi in pesto is TO DIE FOR. There are so many items that can be made gluten free to, so if you know someone who has an allergy, they DEFINITELY have something for everyone. The restaurant is a little small, but they recently expanded. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. Overall, I highly recommend. It will not disappoint.“

“Went here last weekend to have lunch with our daughter who goes to St. Johns. Parked right on the corner (Metered ) no parking lot for those wanting to know. Mostly college crowd. “I had a delightful experience at Zaitun Halal on Parsons Blvd in Jamaica, Queens. The Chicken over rice was absolutely scrumptious—perfectly cooked with just the right blend of spices. As it's name indicates, the menu changes with the seasons and adds market available 'specials'. Service was friendly, professional and helpful. The wine list was carefully crafted. It was not a phone book with prices that match the digits of a phone number. There are a reasonable variety good wines to complement the food that does not cost the price of your first house. Season offers value, coupled with carefully prepared, delicious food, artfully presented and professionally served.“

“Absolutely amazing! My daughter and I had an appointment in the area today, and being not from the area I asked for recommendations on the Long Island Foodies page. You did not disappoint!! We ordered four tacos (the crispy chicken was my favorite,) corn, jalapeño poppers and drinks. Every single item was amazing! Then the staff - we are outside and from the first staff member we met to the last the service was top notch! Extra thanks to the gentleman who made sure to bring me out some Fat Boy Sauce, because I mentioned it was our first time he said “you have to have it.” He was right. We did! And Sal. Every restaurant should have someone as welcoming and lovely as Sal. He made us feel like regulars on our first time. “My absolute favorite Greek restaurant! They have several locations, but I like the one in Bayside the best because I find it's not as crowded as the other ones. The parking here can be a little tough but there is a municipal parking lot about 3 short blocks away and you can also take public transportation there, it is about a block away from the Bayside Long Island Railroad station. Try their steak its my favorite, but I also recommend the octopus, and their fish is always fresh and delicious, but you really can't go wrong with anything you get here. This place is always super clean, the service is always great and they pour a great drink. Now, this is an edited review from my original because i just had to mention Arif, who is the general manager. When you meet Arif you will understand why this place is so great. We visited it on a Friday evening around 5 o’clock and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, with only one other table occupied by a birthday celebration. The restaurant’s location at the crossroads of Merrick Avenue and Old Country Road made it easy to access, with plenty of parking available.Despite its small size, FandoQ had a cozy and neat atmosphere, decorated with beautiful ethnic paintings on the walls. The manager was exceptionally pleasant and attentive to our needs throughout the evening.For our appetisers, I ordered the Samosa, a fried pastry filled with vegetables and chickpeas, while my friend enjoyed the lentil soup and spinach pie. The portions were generous, so my friend decided to skip the main course, while I savoured the Adana kebab, which was a flavourful and perfectly grilled ground lamb dish served with fluffy white rice.To accompany our meal, my friend opted for Chianti, while I chose a refreshing pomegranate martini. “My grandma and I always go here and get pad Thai with mock duck. The food is heavenly! Anything good you could say about the food is true! The duck is crispy on the outside and buttery melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and the flavor of the sauce is just incredible! The glass noodles are light and have a perfect texture. The regular noodles are filling and also perfect. Oh- and the peanut sauce that comes with the salad is the best peanut sauce you could ever imagine! It’s so addicting, and has a tad kick to it (I think you can only get that at lunch though). My grandma and I only ate there in person a couple times, but the service was great, considering how crowded the restaurant always is (I think the fact that it’s always stuffed to the brim is a sign of a good restaurant :). They had good vibes and a really chill aesthetic. We always get the food delivered, and it comes in a really short amount of time. My grandma also loves this food; we get food that’s not spicy, because we are both sensitive to spice (but if you like spice, they have dishes with that too). I wanted to think of something I didn’t like here, but I can’t! All in all, eat here!! (Also, hack for more duck; when asking for extra mock duck, ask for it in a separate container; that way you can see just how much you’re getting, and they can’t skimp! The logic behind this is when there’s an already full container full of food, you can’t add that much more duck; so when you have a separate container, they can fill it all the way up!)“
