“Dinner was so good I don't know where to begin.. Pulled pork sliders were a special and they were the best we have ever eaten. Everything about them was perfection! Garganelli alla Norma was also a special and melted in your mouth. The combination of the eggplant and creamy house made ricotta was just incredible. We also had the grilled marinated shrimp (biggest shrimp I have ever seen) with grilled eggplant and roasted fennel. Also a terrific dish. Thank you Joe for another perfect evening!“

We ordered from the Lenten menu the shrimp pappardelle and the scallop risotto. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. Service was on point, friendly and professional. “George Martin The Original is an amazing restaurant with exceptional food and service. Parking can be tough in Rockville Centre but George Martin has plenty of parking in the back. The bar is very large with plenty of seating...regulars often eat at the bar to chat with people around them and the wonderful bartenders. Reservations are recommended especially during busy hours. My husband and I started with two signature drinks...coconut Margarita and French martini. One better than the other. We shared a wedge salad which was split in the kitchen and chopped. Delicious! We both had steak, my favorite is Skirt steak, his filet mignon. Both cooked perfectly to our liking...dessert was pecan pie sundae... yummy... The service is the best around...especially the manager Suzanne who walks around making sure everyone is happy...can be a bit loud but the energy is contagious....love it there and so will you“
“My son & ordered breakfast sandwiches to be picked up and the service was very sweet and prompt! My son said his sandwich (the one with mushrooms) was "amazing!" I got the egg white wrap which was also delicious- very fresh with a perfect balance of ingredients. And the coffee was really good too!“

Everyone was warm, not snobby, and went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday brunch enjoyable for my family. The food focuses on spotlighting the local ingredients and isn't overly fancy. My favorites were the hot fried chicken sandwich, the deconstructed eggplant parm appetizer, and the spaghetti with tomato sauce off of the kids menu (could have used a touch of salt but I think they underseasoned on purpose because it's for kids). The only dish that was pretty underwhelming was the shrimp and grits, which was kind of bland. The decor is also so tasteful and I felt transported to a fancy farmhouse somewhere on the coast of Rhode Island or something. I'll definitely be back!“

Here are my thoughts about the meal: Pros: >The waiter was extremely professional and friendly. > We had the prix fixe dinner. Appetizers, Entrees, and Desserts were all delicious. > We felt welcomed to enjoy our company and were not rushed. Con: > According to the menu, Each Entree was supposed to be accompanied by both a potato and a vegetable. This was not the case. The four of us shared a single plate of roasted red potatoes and 5 nickel size pieces of a carrot. The waiter said this is correct and asked if we wanted tp pay for an actual side of vegetable. I was a bit embarrassed and found this odd when the prix fixe was supposed to come with enough vegetable for 4 people. This is definitely not what I would expect from a restaurant of this level.“

Six of us at the round table, Islanders beating the Bruins on the big screen next to us, and a meal I did not want to end. First of all, our server Maddy's enthusiasm and recos were spot on. She was exactly perfectly attentive, charming and engaging. I asked her about her favorites and she cited the weather and said if you're looking for comfort food...and rattled off quite a lineup. I went with the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad to start because I knew I was going hearty on the entree with the French Onion Pork Chop special. Phenomenal. Impossibly huge chop, clearly carefully brined. Expertly prepared, hot and juicy. The French Onion gravy was at the same time sweet and savory, rich and just perfect. Sauteed broccoli rabe and butternut squash puree were perfect accompaniments. So many other dishes to try. My boyfriend and I tried the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I think my favorite thing on the menu. I asked to replace the biscuit with an English muffin but they could not do it and I'm glad they couldn't, the biscuit made the dish! Eggs were perfectly packed and potatoes were flavorful. Wish the salad came with dressing.“

The wings were good but the onion rings were the best onion rings I've had anywhere.I'm definitely going back to play pool because I had a good time but trust me you want to try their wings and onion rings! They have a lot of drink selections as well so just check the place out!“

We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us! “Had lunch here with my mother and aunt on a Thursday afternoon. I did not expect to have probably the best Octopus dish I've ever had. Really spectacular. Perfectly balanced flavor and texture, and the cook on the Octopus itself was spot on. I would return just based on that alone. We had French onion soup which was very solid. Excellent fried chicken thigh sandwich. Good chicken quesadilla, and a really good short rib bolognese. Didn't love the pasta choice with that which was cavatelli. My personal opinion/preference would be a pappardelle or tagliatelle to make the short rib more of the star. The cavatelli was a little too dense and fought against the short rib. I've been coming to this place for several years now, and it's nice to have had one of the better meals I've had there this far into their run. Kudos to the kitchen and the front of the house.“

She was so kind and so sweet and took care of me like it was a bed and breakfast. Once again the food was other worldly good. Food is here is homemade. They have a decent variety of teas and served in the cutest tea pots and tea cups . Love the vintage look. Highly recommend their Egyptian chamomile and mango beach tea. As per breakfast you really can't go wrong . Normally I have my usual which is either the western omelette with egg whites and mozzarella or an avocado toast. Their breakfast burrito also delicious. “EXCELLENT!!!!...it isn't enough complimentary to describe how great Nancy's is. My cousin and I ate here before the Stevie Nicks concert we attended two nights before. Being from upstate I checked on restaurants close to the UBS arena before we drove down. The photos on Nancy's website showed an appealing variety of food and the reviews were sterling so we knew Nancy's was a good choice. I must admit we initially were going to eat at an Asian fusion restaurant just up the street but being Valentines Day they weren't offering a regular menu, just a $150 per couple V-Day special. So having Nancy's as a backup we headed there. I am so very glad we did. To start the music playing was all Stevie as the staff knew the one-night concert was on. The bartender greeted us and shortly after the nice waiter seated us the hostess visited us. Having already perused the menu I asked about the mix accompanying the Grilled Atlantic Salmon (it contained ratatouille, a taste I really wasn't sure about.) The hostess was kind enough to bring a small bowl so we could sample the mix (delicious) so I ordered that salmon. My cousin opted for a salad and the Quesadillas. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food and man, WAS IT DELICIOUS. The salmon was wonderful. I asked for a medium grilling which is exactly what I received, the arugula accompanying was VERY fresh...the entire dish was EXTREMELY tasty. The portion was just right, not too big, not too small. Exactly the amount you would want before a concert or hockey game. The Quesadillas, 4 or 5 were the same, so very tasty and not oversized yet a very fair value for the price. The hostess chatted with us a couple times more before we left. Then, just as we hit the sidewalk I heard "Sir, sir, you forgot your card." The nice, quick to catch my mistake and honest young man who was our waiter had dashed out of the restaurant to bring me my forgotten card. I'm sorry but I forgot his name but whoever of the Nancy's staff that may read this please ask your waiters who might remember returning a forgotten card to a man on Valentines night 2024 about 6:30 p.m. and please give him another big Thank You! for me. To sum up, if you're looking for a friendly, comfortable restaurant near the UBS arena with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food then look no further than Nancy's at 255-41 Jericho Tpk. I got the truffle pesto burrata ravioli, a few of my friends got the spicy rigatoni, and my other friend got the burrata raviolis with vodka sauce. We also got drinks, apps, and dessert which were so good. All of us were in love with our dishes and already decided that we need to go back for someone's birthday or just for fun. Vibes were 10/10.“
