“Good coffee, good gelato, good Italian soda! There is seating downstairs and upstairs. It's cozy and chill. The chocolate gelato was not nearly as good as the vanilla imo.The barista was nice and she made everything we ordered promptly and well. Will definitely be going back here!Parking: There's parking in the Dogtown lot but it can be a hassle getting a spot in there depending on the time of day.“

“I ordered food from today and without thinking I said wow (out loud) when I had the first bite. The food here is absolutely divine. I am so glad I drove from Buffalo for it. Also, the service here is amazing! I will be coming back for more every chance I get.“

“I was in the mood for a pastry and coffee and came here. The setting with some tables, a counter against the wall, draperies, photos & paintings creates an appealing ambiance to sit and chat with a bunch of friends or just sit quietly to sip and eat your meal. It has an ample menu of cocktails, sandwiches, and a few pastries, coffee, tea. I really liked it.“
“Winter Swan Coffee isn't just a caffeine pit stop, it's a new Rochester ritual. From the moment you step into their stunning new space, you're met with smiles that could melt even the iciest December wind. The baristas are absolute wizards, brewing up deliciousness while chatting like old friends. But let's talk coffee, shall we? Every sip of Winter Swan is a revelation. Smooth, expertly roasted beans meet creative flavor combinations that keep your taste buds tangoing. Their seasonal offerings are a constant source of delight, from the cozy embrace of a Gingerbread Matcha Latte to my new favorite, the swan cloud. Whether you're a classic latte lover or a daring espresso explorer, Winter Swan has something to set your heart singing. And speaking of the new space, it's simply delightful. Practical and beautiful, it strikes the perfect balance between cozy corners and airy vibes. It's the kind of place you want to settle in with a good book, linger over a conversation, or simply watch the world go by with a steaming cup in hand. So, when someone asks me where to find the best coffee in Rochester, my answer is always the same: Winter Swan. It's more than just a café; it's a community hub, a flavor playground, and a haven for all things caffeinated joy. Five stars? Winter Swan deserves a constellation!“

“I just visited here for the first time this morning and I am so upset I haven’t ventured over sooner. The atmosphere is so cozy, staff are beyond friendly, and despite them being quite busy, I was in and out within 10 minutes. I got the Lavender Dreams Iced Latte as well as the Basil Breakfast Grilled Wrap. When I tell you this wrap was CHEFS KISS- it was perfect. Everything was so fresh. Overall, I can’t say enough how great my first experience was here and I will encourage everyone I know to pay it a visit. Thanks Sips!!!“

“I always like to visit local coffee shops when traveling. I am so glad that I chose Ugly Duck Coffee on a recent trip to Rochester. Even though I don’t consider myself a coffee snob, I am very particular about the entire experience. The calm, soothing atmosphere of the shop was very welcoming. Since we were first-timers, we asked for a recommendation. The Snug seemed to be what we were looking for. Everything about this latte was exceptional: the temperature, taste, the look, the art, and the glass it was served in…did I mention taste? Wow. This was the best latte I ever had. If y’all ever consider opening another location in Texas (specifically north Texas) I’d be happy to help make that happen!“

“Founders Café is a Rochester treasure. AMAZING food - everything on the menu is great, even if I tend to get the same thing most visits because I love their salads so much. But everything else - quiche, sandwiches, baked goods - are all phenomenal. Very friendly service and we're definitely always made to feel at home. Love it here.“

“Pleasant place and staff but a little disappointing on coffee and pastry quality. I wanted to like it more than I could.Flat white was a shot drowned in 12 oz of overheated milk, not sure how it differs from a latte or how you can get a strong milk drink. Is my understanding of what a flat white is non-universal?So-so Almond croissant warmed in the microwave wasn't awesome either.“
“You can bring your kids (under 5 only) to come and play here while you supervise from tables around the play area. The Cafe serves food and drinks as well. The food was great, the coffee could've been stronger. We will definitely plan on making the drive to visit more.Kid-friendliness: This place is designed for kidsWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs required to enter. Parking lot is flat. All or most seating can be made wheelchair accessible. You will need to ensure your child will enter and leave the play area on their own, however, as it is not all easily accessible by wheelchair“

“Great restaurant and great atmosphere! Very welcoming and friendly staff. The breakfast sandwiches and coffees are ALL 10/10 for a great price! One of those places where you discover and become a regular customer. Location is super nice too and hope to see them expand a little more into other parts of Rochester. My new everyday breakfast spot“

“When I lived in Rochester, they had just started out as a rustic little cafe with a music school. In the last 5 years, they have now built into a fancier cafe with many more options to eat, drink, knick knacks and tea and coffee beans to buy. I was delighted to visit when I was in Rochester recently and see this development!I got their coffee with cocoa drink with an addition of peppermint flavoring. It was good. The girls working the cafe were definitely on their toes quite a bit. I used to love their hot chocolate so I'll be glad to go back for that on my next visit!“

It's very cute and eclectic inside. You'll feel like your in a little coffee shop in NYC! Staff are nice and fellow patrons are super friendly. They have desserts and yummy sandwiches too- if coffee is not your thing. But trust me- one cafe here and you'll be hooked!!! Enjoy!!!“

“Everything at Jenny's Bakery is delicious. There is such a variety to choose from, that I often end up getting a bunch of different things to try. The cookies, chocolate bread, and melon bread are all delicious, as are the breakfast sandwiches. And Jenny's makes the BEST chai lattes. Love it here.“

“I quite literally cannot recommend The Old Farm Cafe highly enough. The service, food/drink, and atmosphere are all fantastic. As a Disney lover, this truly feels like the closest thing to immersive dining in Rochester and I can’t WAIT to go back. Need a place for a date? Old Farm Cafe. Need somewhere to take the kids? Old Farm Cafe. Meeting a friend for lunch? Old Farm Cafe. You get the picture. It’s perfect for everything!!!“

“Everything was amazing and we'll definitely be back. My only recommendation for atmosphere would be a gate to enclose the kids area. It's so hard to visit with friends when you have multiple children and they keep beelining out of the play area. Other than that, everything was so cool. The food was good and coffees were delicious. My friend and I were both impressed.“

“Our breakfast here was very good. It was a little weird upon arrival because it seems like there is parking out back but it's really apartment parking. Luckily we easily found on street parking. The staff were all friendly and the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote were delicious. I ordered a tea and the server explained the flavor and the steep time which was helpful. It was a cute little place with beautiful takeout available.“

“Everyone claims to have good service, but Artisan Coffeehouse has world-class service. The workers here have an excellent process for filling orders and their communication when their point-of-sale system has an error is phenomenal. Their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are also a nice addition to any morning beverage!“

“Cool place that brings out all the 90s cartoon and video game feels. They were short staffed when we visited but they were very kind and polite and made sure to communicate with all customers.Had their breakfast burrito- it was really good and a lot of food! However, would not recommend their latte- it tasted very watery and artificial.“

“Came in for breakfast for our first visit. We loved what they did to the place from what it was previously. With that said it is rather noisy, but that's because of the openness. The food and service is worth it though. I got the breakfast tacos and the wife got the veggie omelet. This is the first time I've ever gotten an appetizer for breakfast and the first time I've ever had to get a to go container for my breakfast. The food is so good and fresh tasting. The prices are a tad higher than what an average diner would be, but it's because it's not your average diner and you're getting great food with fresh ingredients. Well worth it! They also offer gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“

“The pina colada and mango cream smoothies are the best I’ve ever had. I work in the mall so I get them pretty often. The only thing is the price. $8 for just a smoothie feels criminal but then again it’s mall prices in 2023. Very friendly staff too.“

“I have been going to Pearson's for several years (most of that time it went by Glenn Edith's).The coffee is great, and the atmosphere is quieter than other nearby coffee shops.I really like the design and decor of both the downstairs and upstairs (downstairs is more active, upstairs in quiet).Service is fast and friendly. They have an upstairs that is a great space for working.I wish they had more gluten-free options (why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5). They used to have a better gluten-free selection before the renovation & conversion into Pearson's.Parking is occasionally a challenge as they only have 4 or 5 spots, the nearby parking lot is only for the nearby shopping center, and street parking makes for a bit of a walk. That said, if you are only there for a few minutes you "shouldn't" have a problem parking in the shopping center parking lot.“

“Best sandwiches and cheese Danish I may have ever had. And I've had my share in NYC for 10 years. Maybe it's just been that long I babe remember, but these were killer. Ciabatta was so airy and light and buttery, filling was juicy and flavorful. Danish was lightly crispy on the outside layer and soft and warm on the inside, super fluffy, and huge! Sugared top. I had a coconut hazelnut latte that was delicious and my son had a fantastic mint milkshake. Wish we didn't live 1.5hrs away.“

“The beautiful donut display was the hit of the night! We were hesitant to switch completely to donuts from the traditional wedding cake but we are SO HAPPY we went with the donuts. They also tasted just as delicious as they looked. We were very thankful Donuts Delite was able to deliver and pick up the donut wall and tiered serving plates. Our guests will forever bring up how much they loved them. Highly recommend for weddings and all other events!“

“Been going to this Starbucks for well over 5 years now and everyone here is super friendly. I just placed a mobile order like I usually do and of course as soon as I submitted it something went wrong. It didn’t place my order but it took my money. I stopped in there and explained what happened and without hesitation they immediately started making my order. They didn’t want to see my app, my bank account or they didn’t even make me call corporate or anything. They just honored it and I was out the door in 2 minutes. Customer service like this is not easily found anymore. Thank you to the girl in pig tail braids!“
“It's a diner with diner food. Friendly, clean, fast. The food was what we expected. I only had home fries with sourdough toast. My husband had raisin bread French toast. Both were, as I said before, typical diner breakfasts. Our 13 year old got an American omelet, with ham, and it was also a typical breakfast. The portion was big for her. I have nothing negative to say.“

“It may have taken me over a year to finally remember the name of this spot, but I'm obsessed. I recommend it to everyone I know, too. I don't even live in Rochester but this is where I buy my coffee. There are some roasts from different locals than what you may typically find, like Malawi and Sulawesi. It's all good, and all becomes a matter of personal coffee preferences.Someone mentioned the staff here not being nice or friendly, but I've had great interactions with them all. The baristas bust their butts and the coffee area employees put up with my many coffee questions. Prices went up in May to $18/pound from $16, I believe; they clearly communicated it was due to rising costs and paying their coffee suppliers a decent rate. I still think it's a fair price--some places charge than price for 12 ounces versus a full pound.“
“They were so happy to speak with us about every little question we had. If you need a cup of coffee but want it done right then you should get it here. Stock up on fresh beans or just come for the great service, there isn't a bad option!“

“This location is very near my house. I walk about 1 mile to it. I order my coffee and receive it; as I only have hot coffee and it comes quickly. Other selections would be picked up at the other end. If you have the app and make an mobile order, you will received as you walk in. The time I usually go for coffee is when the high schoolers are there to order and the line grows longer. It is still handled quickly, which is cool, as I have to catch a bus and there are minutes before it comes!I don't order any of the food selections as they are costly and since I am watching my weight, these selections are not in my diet. I haven't really heard any bad comments about their food selections, so maybe they are worth buying. The place is handicap accessible, except for the entrance. Wheelchairs have to have help to get in the door. Some tables are marked with the handicap symbol and these tables are nice to sit at and be close to the table. The legs are at the corners of the table versus a column in the center. The bathrooms are awesome, they are marked unigender or for either sex to use. They are clean and the soap dispenser had soap and to dry hands had an electric blower. It is quiet to do work on your computer or to meet a friend and have a conversation. That is so nice for me , I get distracted with my ADD.The parking has a space in front just for the mobile app and other spaces for handicapp parking. There are plenty of spots towards the rear of the parking lot. To leave the parking lot, sometimes, it is easier to go to the back way and either turn right and leave by Dunkin Donuts or to the left and leave to Liberty Street or through Marks Pizza to gain access to either Five Mile line or Penfield Road. If you leave Star Bucks to Penfield Road, you might have to 1) wait a long time or 2) almost get into an accident. My friend left that way and had a fender bender! It is so close to the traffic light that the traffic does build up.I had a cashier that was deaf and had a wonderful attitude. I tried some of my asl signs and she laughed because one sign was wrong. I apologized and she was so kind and said that at least she had a laugh for the day. Most people are quick and have a good attitude for customer service. So that is why I go there more than Dunkin Donuts.“

“Nice spot downtown to have a small ish easy to eat breakfast or lunch with huge windows letting in a ton of light. It's connected by a skybridge to Innovation Square which I'd imagine is nice for residents. You order at the counter but they bring the food out to you at your table. I got the apple grilled cheese sandwich which was good but on the small side. There's a lot on street metered parking nearby and a garage underground.“

“Great place to connect with Rochester history at the site where fifteen courageous Rochester women voted in 1872, including Susan B Anthony. “Just got a customized refresher with the new Oleato Foam. The manager Kristen was very helpful and patient with my order. The drink came out fantastic. I did the Dragon Drink with half the mango dragon base and the other half with pineapple passion base. And then substituted it with Oat Milk. Omg so freaking good. This place never fails.“
“Just litterally left from the drive thru and got a mocha cookie crumble frappe, which I get all the time. This was my first time at this location usually I go to the new one by browncroft, but I’ve been to a lot here and this time I wen6 to this location was the best the drink has ever been made. No joke. Everywhere else it’s watery and disgusting. And you guys were so very busy and the fact it was made great and prefect is just amazing. Great employees, great vibes great drinks. Thank you so much I hope the employees are valued because with out them you wouldn’t be able to operate. They’re doing a fantastic job. Thank you.“
“I only give this a five star review because the staff here truly do a great job. I do believe that they are able to put out a product that is consistent and top notch. Otherwise I wish they would unionize, and start to get better wages. Corporations in general have become too powerful in the United States and world. Starbucks as a corporation is the reason for the 1 star atmosphere, I do not find it cozy or comfortable to sit in. It is cold and feels like want to make it as cheap and bare as possible.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of dairy free drink options, but lacking slightly in the vegan and dairy free food options ( I only mean that in comparison you can get almost any drink dairy free, and I do not think you can get too many of the options for food dairy free options except by removing the cheese from the impossible breakfast sandwich. Again that is a corporate situation and has nothing to do with the incredibly hard working individuals at this and every Starbucks I have visited recently.“

“I went on April 21, 2024, at around 10:50 am, through the drive thru. I wish I knew the staff names, they were wonderful, going above and beyond on our order. We took a little long to order but the staff were so sweet and patient despite it being quite busy. Unlike other locations I have been to, they had the order correct and well done. Highly recommend this location.“
