“I just have to say what en amazing experience I had. My boyfriend and I ordered for the first time the other night and were blown away. I was talking to a bunch of employees at my office today and we decided to order for lunch. I called to ask the best way to do a large order and the most delightful person answered the phone and said calling would be no problem at all. I spoke with Caitlin and her customer service was outstanding!!! I had a 13 person order of all different things and she was so kind and patient on the phone and we were amazed at how quick the food was ready. When we arrived to pick up our order she was just as sweet, itemized and labeled everything to make it easy for when we got back to the office. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. “Decided since it was a Friday, we would get a Fish Fry. We settled on Rock Kitchen as where we would go. They don't have an online reservation system so I had to call to make a reservation. We took advantage of their early bird Fish Fry special. The Fish and the Cole Slaw were good but the fries were too greasy for my taste. It is served with a house made dipping sauce for the fries. I didn't care for the flavor of this mayonnaise based sauce but others seemed to enjoy it. Maybe if we came l later so that the french fry oil had more time to get hot, everything would have been worth a 5 star rating.“

And it was! The gyro meat was seasoned well and the side of tzaziki sauce really gave it an extra depth of flavor. Unfortunately, my friends didn't fare as well. My one friend ordered BBQ chicken fingers and received hot. Her daughter ordered a side of fries that didn't come out until the very end. It wasn't great, but they were so busy that I'm not shocked. I've always loved it here, especially since it's not your average run of the mill Greek diner. The menu has a lot of great options apart from the standard breakfast fare, which is especially important because I'm gluten free and can't eat anything with it in there. Upgrade to a large roll for $1, same for a bag of chips). You're going to get this meal in less than 5 minutes from when you place it, and even if the line is 15 deep (common between 12:00-12:30), you're still looking at a 10 minute wait max. The small seating area is all that you need and is covered wall-to-wall with incredible Buffalo memorabilia (and not the stuff from Tully's, the kind of personalized stuff you want to walk around and stare at).All this means that you're going to get reliable, fast service, a great sandwich at a great price, and all within the typical contsraints of the office worker looking to grab a quick bite. “Visited from Canada! Our first time here and I think the manager? came to welcome us and even gave us a thank you card, really nice. Food was great! The portions are larger than what we're used to so we couldn't finish it but the kids devoured their burgers. I knocked off one star as we weren't expecting the tablet on the table (we already have trouble with limiting screens with our kids) but I guess it helps for others.
