“I had the split ramen and appetizer combo. The ramen was very good and it was very filling. The spicy wings were the best wings I had in a while. The taro bubble tea was also very good. Sarah H was also provided us with amazing service, always making sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place!“
“I drive past this place on my way to work regularly and always see the lunch specials sign. I finally decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed ! Small place but staff were super friendly and my food was delicious ! My lunch special portion was so large I had enough to save for lunch the next day. I will be back !“
“We've ordered hibachi to go from here multiple times and have not been disappointed! The price is fair, the portions are good and the food has been great! I prefer it to the two other similar style restaurants in the area. Great service as well; the employees have all been very friendly!“
“First time visiting this spot. Was shopping with husband and wanted some good sushi and came across this very quaint intimate sushi spot. Food was very yummy, fish was fresh and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and atmosphere was very intimate .Definitely recommend this place and will be returning again soon.“
“We came here from 65~ miles away for a field trip in order to experience the most traditional authentic sushi and other Japanese cuisine. What a feast! Taka-san and his team welcomed us as we were their house guests and gave us samples of all different kinds of sushi, as he was informing us about each fish. He was also very nice to share some of his reserve sake collection. If you want REAL sushi, this is the only place to go on Long Island! Period. Arigatou Taka-San!“
“Fresh and great quality sashimi/sushi, especially for the price! It’s a small shop so we always get take out and it never disappoints. The salmon nigiri is the star of the show for sure! The spicy tuna is great too if you like it on the spicier side ;DPicture: Dragon roll + medium nigiri sashimi sushi roll combo $97“
“Finally found a Quality sushi restaurant in Long Island worthy of being called a Japanese sushi restaurant. Sushi is excellent, service is slow and atmosphere is okay. If you are a sushi snob like me. Kuryu is the place to go authentic sushi.“
“We came on a weekend nightWe had shrimp tempura 3/5Shrimp dumplings 3/5Shrimp gyoza looking 1/5 (not sure if it’s gyoza, but it was fried)Fried calamari 5/5 must tryShrimp udon 3.5/5Scallion pancake 5/5 must tryChicken Katsura bento 3/5Everything was good but the fried ahrimp gyoza looking onesWe were so hungry that I wasn’t able to capture everything.Staff was ok, I usually rate the bathroom but didn’t see it when we visited. We’d return and try other things and get the calamari and scallion pancake again“
“A hidden gem! A quaint spot where you really feel like an insider that knows the best kept secret.... that Sushi Palace in West Hempstead is one of is not the best sushi spot on Long Island! Mai the owner makes you feel like family and if you go as much as I do she'll even remember your order lol I always recommend this place to any sushi snob such as myself. They use the freshest ingredients with Sushi and sashimi that literally melts in your mouth. They offer other yummy Japanese food as well. Support a local business that seriously delivers every single time, you will not be disappointed.“
“Amazing sushi, really nice staff! Tuna tatar was so good. We also ordered Sakura Mango and wasabi Roll were fresh and outstanding taste good. We love bento box, too. Everything was amazing, would love to come back!! Also the atmosphere was amazing and so beautiful.“
“Sakana is fantastic and never fails to deliver. We order takeout once a week if not more frequently and the sushi is always fresh and best of all it’s extremely consistent. Cindy is amazing and works hard to make sure orders are correct and made on time. This is our go to when we have guests and have only positive things to say about the food! I love that they have Japanese as well as Chinese, nothing like a few california rolls, some shrimp tempura, and some general Tao Chicken- always a hit!! Can’t recommend this family owned business enough!“
“Restaurant is super cute, with just enough seating for a couple groups. Onigiri was delicious! I loved the different options available, and was super happy that they had vegan options because it gives me another place to go with friends who have food restrictions! Also, the tea was super yummy and had tons of customization options. To top it off, the woman working there was super nice and informative and patient! Definitely going back!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available! They had 4 different rice balls that were listed vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s handicap parking, and the tables have separate chairs, and there’s plenty of room to move“
“So I'm in this shopping center often but this is my first time at Kirazu Sushi. There are about 3 dine in table plus a few seats at the sushi bar. I sat at the sushi bar with my husband. It was a busy night, lots of takeout orders and all tables filled. I really liked the vibe of the restaurant-fun music playing you want to sing along to. All other customers were returning customers, the owner greeted many by first name. Lovely waitress who was kind and the sushi chef was non stop making sushi for everyone. The staff running the restaurant said it was a busy night so the sushi might take a little longer. It wasn't an issue at all because it was so nice listening to the music they had playing on a stereo and we ordered and enjoying our night. Once the food was served, I thought my sushi was great. I'm a lover of a dragon roll and sushi sandwich and the sushi chef did a great job with the ratio of all ingredients and flavors. I was really pleased with my meal and so was my husband. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual sushi dinner for locals of the neighborhood to enjoy. I will be back!!Thanks for a great experience“
“A very good experience the food was delicious. Great customer service and not very pricey. Mufu hibachi and sushi is a must try. They are wonderful here. There’s great music here. In a great areaKid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed there experience here with the food and how fast they received their food“
“This is the best sushi in long island / queens and I have yet to find one that beats it ! My colleague recommended this place and has ruined sushi for me because I've become so picky when trying other places . The sushi here is so fresh and the quality is outstanding ! My favorite go to dishes are the pearl maki roll, the wagyu uni roll , the spicy scallop hand roll , the spicy yellowtail hand roll , the Chu and otoro nigiri, and the seared salmon belly nigiri . I definitely need other recommendations to try . This place is always packed ! Sometimes the wait can be two hours plus so I usually opt for take out .“
“This place is an absolute gem. You would absolutely not know you are in Levittown. The interior is beautiful, service is attentive and it is truly some of the best sushi I have had. I typically come for lunch with my wife and get the Sushi and Sashimi lunch special. Chefs choice. It is so fresh and delicious. An absolute must try.“
“Everything about this experience was top notch: food, service, and atmosphere. Everything about the place really lets the food shine, though. We had the sushi plates where the chef chooses. Every bite was better than the last. If I had one note, it would be to please tell me what everything is when setting the plate down! I thought I knew, but quickly realized that I wasn't familiar with everything. I'll have to go back soon so I can try it all again and ask.“
“What a cold night it was yesterday. My son and I had just finished watching a movie and we were hungry, so we decided on some ramen to warm us up.Everything we ordered was served quickly by some very nice ladies. My spicy tuna roll was delicious and my son enjoyed his takoyali very much. We both ordered Tonkotsu ramen. I always order miso ramen, so it was my first go with Tonkotsu. I liked it. As did my son. Wish I could compare it, so.I.could rate it higher.Atmosphere was nice. And everyone was very friendly.“
“Perfect cute spot for a date night. The sushi rolls are really unique — loved the one with Brussels sprouts on top. The servers are all super helpful with answering questions and giving recommendations. They were also accommodating of my food allergy which I always appreciate. Highly recommend!“
“Sophia is awesome she will start up a conversation with you immediately and will even let you sample a drink before you have it. The drinks are well made and they will even remember your drink and try to get one for you for next time if they don’t have it and will try to make the closest thing to it for when your there. It truly is an amazing place“
“Kissaki blew me away, from the decor, the ambiance, the service, and then the food. Frank the manager was exceptional, Jun the bartender made the best drinks in town. Service was on point, never hovering but always around when you needed them. The Wagyu steak....perfection....but dont miss the Otoro Sundae!!“
“We've been here so many times, and every time is wonderful! We love it so much that we went on Christmas day the past 3 years! This one chef automatically knows how we like our steak cooked, and that we like double yummy yummy sauce! 10/10 every time!“
“Came here for lunch and it was great. Wonderful portion size and a good selection of bento box. Not served in a traditional bento box but a 4-sectioned plate. Soup and salad served separately. Price is reasonable. Attentative staffs. Will return in the future.Parking: Parking lot behind the building“
“GREAT KOREAN FOOD AND SUSHI ??This place is great for Korean food and sushi, all for a decent price between $10-15 per dish. My friend and I got a 3 sushi roll combo, tteokboki, and Korean fried chicken. They were all so good! There’s a huge parking lot with stores around such as Kung Fu Tea and Hmart. The waiters were attentive and the atmosphere and comfy and quiet!“
“My teenage son put me onto this spot. Amazing hot spot. Ramen soup bursting with flavor. Service was very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want some amazing food. Can’t wait to go back.Parking: Plenty of spotsKid-friendliness: Kid hot spot.“
“8 years after the first time I stepped in here; and if anything, the food has gotten better! Service is fantastic. Always so eager to help. You can always hear one of the servers explaining to a new customer, the difference in fish and their flavor/texture profile. It's a smaller place but cozy and not cramped. I prefer the sushi counter but anywhere is a good time since the food is out of this world.“
“Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Quality is amazing. We order from here a lot, and they package everything so organized, provide chopsticks, soy sauce and deliver in a quick manner. Hot food we order is always still hot upon arrival! Highly suggest!“
“The owner greeted my friend and I like we were both regulars. He and the lady taking our order were very attentive of her gluten allergy. He checked in on us often and we never had to wait to put in a request. The food was so SO good, we got rock shrimp, chicken katsu don, and an angel roll.“
“Perhaps it's one of the best sushi restaurants in Great Neck. Never disappointed regardless dine in or take out. Fish is always fresh, well cut, and added with chef's special ornaments. On top of these, the price is very reasonable.“
“1. Run, don't walk to Osaka! 2. Order extra of the spicy kani salad 3. Order everything! It's OK, you can afford it, the prices are incredible. 4. Enjoy! Go about the rest of your trip... dream about spicy kani salad. 1. Come back 2. Find out their closed 3. Cry Go about the trip again! 1. Come back 2. Order 3 more spicy Kani as everyone in your group who wasn't here before freaks out about how amazing everything is... 3. Cry about going back to FL where there is no Spicy Kani Salad“
“The food is delicious and fresh. We also have food allergies and they call to double check, which is great. My only issue is the last two times I placed online orders they corrected the total and charged me extra for “add ons”. I had zero add ons both times. In fact the only thing I asked for was for them to NOT use sesame seeds or seaweed paper because of an allergy. So because they’re omitting something, instead of charging me the same or less, they charge more?? That doesn’t seem right.“
“First time we were here, for lunch, the food and quality was truly amazing. The pieces were above normal size and taste were amazing. Perhaps was because they just open for business? Our second visit it not as first time, the sashimi and sushi got smaller and now it is normal just like any other sushi place. I wish the restaurant focus more on quality and quantity, not trying to cut back and cut corner. This would bring back customers constantly....“
“Great Japanese spot in the port Washington neighborhood. We had a party of 10, ordered a large sushi/sashimi, 5 different rolls, a couple appetizers and udon for the kiddos. The fish was good quality. The udon was an adult size even though it was from the kids menu. Everything was excellent. Check came out cheaper than I thought for that quality.“
“Came here with my husband and ordered a variety of rolls. All were great. In our opinion it’s the best sushi in the area Mineola/Garden City/New Hyde Park area but is a little pricey, especially considering the vibe and feel of the restaurant.“
“My friend and I recently dined at Yahao Asian Cuisine. We started with warm green tea and hot sake, accompanied by a mix of appetizers. The crispy calamari was a bit too crunchy, but the beef nagamaki was a delightful surprise. The dumplings, and especially tuna tortilla pizza from the sushi bar were also enjoyable. We opted for the Yahao Poke Bowl for our main course, appreciating the customizable ingredients, though the rice had cooled by the time we finished our appetizers. Our waiter, Danny, was attentive and knowledgeable, promptly providing forks and refilling our tea. For dessert, the chocolate and green tea ice cream were highlights. However, the lack of nearby parking (requiring a 10-minute walk) was inconvenient. The staff’s noise while measuring for a room divider proved distracting, and we found the table a bit sticky with insufficient napkins.Despite these drawbacks, the positive aspects, including the delicious dishes, good company, and pleasant music, contribute to an overall rating of 4 out of 5 for our experience.Parking: After driving in circles, we parked in the shopping area across the railroad tracks. I’m not sure if you are allowed to park next to LIRR station without a resident sticker.“
“Always the tastiest food and amazing service. We love going here and our kids love it even more than we do! Also, being that I had a crazy day, after dinner I forgot my purse when we left, and only realized when we got home that I didn’t have it. I called them and they told me they had it safely put away for me until I went back the next day to get it. Couldn’t ask for better service than that!“
“I’ve always frequent this place with my partner and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I love that I can get a hand roll without rice and the seafood soup is always good. Thomas is a really good server and always friendly.“
“Pretty good spot for sushi, fried rice, teriyaki and hibachi. The salmon tempura rolls were really tasty and fresh. The veggie fried rice was really good too. I cleaned my plate of everything. I’d definitely return when I’m back in Queens again.“
“Unpretentious savory delight. These words probably best describe and define a fine (and old) sushi restaurant in the heart of Port Washington area. This restaurant is located directly across from the LIRR station, so it makes sense for commuters to fall in love with this place. However, you will immediately find out that this place is enamored by locals and tourists alike. I never lived in Port Washington, but this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. No other place simply can catch up with Yamaguchi in terms of culinary excellence and the value. They just raised the price is Sushi A set substantially to $27. But where in NY can you get 8 pcs of top-notched nigiri + tuna roll. And a bowl of miso soup? And complimentary edamame? Please enlighten me if you know who can outcompete.Seriously we need Yamaguchi in every town of America. It’s an understatement when I say I am getting sick of $150 omakase place taking over every major US cities. I don’t need golden spoon, I don’t need caviar on the torched salmon. I just need some good sushi meals under $30. Thank you Yamaguchi!“
“We loved our dinner at Ichi. The place is very clean, pleasant lighting and music in the background. Extensive and interesting menu. Food arrived in 10-15 minutes. Fish tastes great and fresh. We ordered the tuna pepper avocado roll and salmon teriyaki bento box. This comes with side of salad and miso soup.Perfect quantity for two people and we enjoyed every item in the box ( shrimp tempura, shumai, corn). The salmon teriyaki had the perfect crunch to it.Highly recommend“
“I've driven by here a few times before but never tried it until recently. I was there on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. There were tables with the grills and ones with out. Obviously if you want hibachi then the grill seats are the only option. You may end up sharing a table but it's not bad. I only had the hibachi this time but they also have sushi here as well. The hibachi is cooked right in front of you and the cook puts on a little bit of show too. Good for the kids if you're dining with any. The hibachi comes with soup, salad, vegetables and fried rice or noodles. I got both. The meat they have steak, chicken, shrimp, and lobster I believe. You can also get a combination as well. I had the steak and shrimp. Food was good and the experience was fun. I'd like to try other places in the area but I would definitely come back.“
“This was maybe my second or third time ordering here. I’ve always passed the restaurant and thought nothing of it until someone wanted bubble tea and asked to go here. That was my first time stepping into Dango. I didn’t realize there was food. I have to say: hands down best customer service ever. The honey pineapple chicken was my favorite. I always add extra rice cake with it. Their rice dishes are great too. For the price, you do get a lot of food. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but from what I have tried, I can’t say anything bad about anything I’ve ordered. I’ll always go back for that honey pineapple chicken but do give their other dishes a try. Want a little mild or spicy? They got that too for their grandma chicken. They are my go-to for something close by.“
“Their sushi meat wasn’t tough and rubbery like it is in most sushi places and the house sake was a hit. The food came out immediately and the staff were nice. Plus the bathroom was fairly clean.FYI we came on a night where it wasn’t too busy. But I had no complaints about the service. The only thing is that the price might be too high for some people, and the portion sizes may be slightly smaller. But the high quality of the food made it worth it for me.“
“I have never dined in here, but the space is cozy and pleasant when I go to pick up food. I also haven’t done delivery, so can’t speak to that. I’ve been ordering from Mizuno since 2019 at least. Their sushi and food is consistently fresh and delicious. Picking up is fast and easy. The packaging for takeout is excellent and protects the integrity of the food and flavor. They are a hidden gem on Long Island. 100% recommend them to anyone.“
“I've been here three times with three different groups of friends and they've all loved this place. I always get sushi however one person I went with didn't eat sushi, but he loved the General Tso's chicken. They have a great assortment and diversity of selections on their menu. Their sushi is very fresh, beautifully presented and melts in your mouth. There are plenty of cooked options as well for people who do not eat sushi. The ambience is nice with a smaller sized dining room, and the service is outstanding. It's nice because the servers are on top of your meal/order without being on top of your table. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again.“
“Anzai is by far the best sushi restaurant! I order from them frequently and am never disappointed. The food is always fresh and so delicious, and the workers are all very nice. Every time I go to a different sushi restaurant, I always find Anzai to remain my favorite. Go to Anzai, you will not be disappointed!“
“The seaweed salad was a little fishy weird tasting. Maybe not that fresh. The unagi (eel) sashimi also had a weird taste.. The salmon sashimi was good. The Rock shrimp were pretty good just a little greasy. The 2 rolls ordered were ok. Probably won't order from here again unfortunately.“
“My wife and I came to Nomiya for a Valentine’s date. The food was good, though there’s definitely good sushi in the area for cheaper. Service was pretty lackluster. Nobody checked on us during the meal, they cleared our plates but we had to wait 15 minutes and then flag somebody down to get our bill. It’s quite a small restaurant and wasn’t full at the time.“
“Four years since my last review/experience with this establishment and it's still amazing! From the food, to the service and ambiance. This isn't a seafood boil that is oily, greasy and flavorless. This seafood boil packs a punch of flavors, it's so delicious and for the month of December they're offering buy 1, get 1 snow crab legs and king crab legs. That is AMAZING! Literally 2lbs of seafood for the price of one. I tried their pomegranate martini, highly recommend. It was a creeper. The peach lemonade with vodka is also very delicious, you'd think it's lemonade with no alcohol but it has plenty. Haha, thank you to my server who played magical tricks and really was a pleasure to be around, he was super nice, funny and helpful. Ben's crab thank you for another great experience after so long, happy you did not go downhill as an establishment. I will be back and it won't take so long!!“
“This place deserves all the stars. This was the sushi spot I needed!! I got takeout to give it a first try. I ordered the spicy tuna, tuna roll, and yellowtail jalapeño app. All were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and absolutely perfect. Place looked busy Friday night. Looking forward to dining in next time.“
