“Our Global Committee from the Long Island Board of Realtors had a Lunar Celebration of the Dragon last Mon. Feb 12. It was my very first time eating there. The food was sumptuous and delicious. The service was excellent too. It was a self-service styled setup and there were ample amounts of varied types of dishes, some spicy and some not. The chicken dishes were superb. There was an amazing string bean dish with various spices that was fantastic. I believe there was some fish dish, I am not sure of the exact name, but that too was great. Every dish was very tasty and I would reccomend everyone to go there and enjoy an excellent meal.“

It's the oldest bar in NYC (aside from one in Wall St.) - You might recognize it from GoodFellas.Worth going out of your way for the history, and worth coming to just because. They play the sports games with the volume on. Have to love it.“

“One of my favorite bars to go to on the weekends! The food and service is great. Nachos and the sliders are always the best, great selection of beer and cocktails. The music could be a little lower since you can barely have a conversation with another person.“

“I came here for a beer tasting class with an invite from a friend. It was my first time at this establishment. Upon entering, it's a very nice place to be inside. It's clean, airy, new, and a very casual environment. I don't know what to call this. It's like a tap room with wine and beer and a package store where you can purchase these products also to take home. It's a great place to kick back, especially if you live in the neighborhood and have a beer or two. But I was here for the class and for the cost of the class which was roughly $30 it's a great deal It's approximately a 2 hour class that covers a particular style of beer and numerous samples fron different breweries. I was more than satisfied with the number of samples that we went through. It's a communal table, and everybody gets along and enjoys themselves. I believe it's on the first Thursday of the month. The person who gave the class his name is Rory if my memory serves me right and he did a great job. It was an enjoyable evening and I hope to come back again for it. The beer store is interesting, to say the least. There are many brews here. But most of them, you've probably never run across at your local beverage store. Come here if you want to try some new variations on styles and small release beers. Note that you can buy the beers that you might have at the beer class.“

The food was served well prepared and nice presentation. very complete menu with plenty of choices for all. my main comment is that the acoustics are terrible. (busy sat night), place was full and literally had to bend across the table to hear each other. I believe it is listed as a $$$ pricing. the bill without drinks (for 2) was 140 and 60 more for 4 drinks. i will definitely give it another try when less busy as the food and service was very good.“

“The prices are super cheap. Bartenders are always friendly they have a jukebox and vending machine and sometimes they cater food. The game nights (connect4, cards, chess, checkers, dominoes and video games) are absolutely fun. Brother Rob always makes sure everyone has a good time!“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. “I love potato pancakes and was expecting a pancake size order. They were smaller appetizer sizes. I went just for the pancakes and ended up with a fish sandwich in a German Restaurant. It was good, but I felt my choices were either sandwiches or large meals at 2pm.. I'll go back to try something else..Wheelchair accessibility: I'll disabled and didn't need a wheelchair but it's Street level. Parking is on the street as well.“

“Easter dinner was lovely. The only issue was that the specials menu was not accurate-scallops risotto was listed but the waiter advised it was actually shrimp risotto. The appetizer special was delicious but again, not as listed. Instead of being accompanied by caramelized onions, we received apple slaw with our baked figs with goat cheese. The same with the dessert special. It was described as white chocolate crème brûlée but we received lemon crème brûlée. Each course was delicious, just not as described on the menu. Service was impeccable, though.“
