“I came here for a beer tasting class with an invite from a friend. It was my first time at this establishment. Upon entering, it's a very nice place to be inside. It's clean, airy, new, and a very casual environment. I don't know what to call this. It's like a tap room with wine and beer and a package store where you can purchase these products also to take home. It's a great place to kick back, especially if you live in the neighborhood and have a beer or two. But I was here for the class and for the cost of the class which was roughly $30 it's a great deal It's approximately a 2 hour class that covers a particular style of beer and numerous samples fron different breweries. I was more than satisfied with the number of samples that we went through. It's a communal table, and everybody gets along and enjoys themselves. I believe it's on the first Thursday of the month. The person who gave the class his name is Rory if my memory serves me right and he did a great job. It was an enjoyable evening and I hope to come back again for it. The beer store is interesting, to say the least. There are many brews here. But most of them, you've probably never run across at your local beverage store. Come here if you want to try some new variations on styles and small release beers. Note that you can buy the beers that you might have at the beer class.“

Wood-fired, soft yet grilled crust, fresh mozzarella, really good tomato sauce, and generous with the toppings. Dining in is also a great experience -- it's warm and homey inside, and you feel like you have left the grind of daily life and are settling in for a festive, really good meal. Doesn't feel like an Americanized Italian restaurant but rather a small pocket of Italy in the Bronx. Breaded mushrooms with horseradish sauce are great...and my friend loved his very tender shell/strip steak with an enormous onion ring and a side of mixed sweet potato fries and wedge fries. We began with Sonoma Saint Francis Chardonnay, with a splendid array of plump East Coast Oysters, an order of delicious Oysters Rockefeller, and hubs enjoyed his yummy New England clam chowder as he did in 2019. Entrees of: Blackened Tuna with Lime sauce, a silky Grilled Salmon Filet Beurre Blanc with pearls of Salmon Roe, and a large Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken strips. I felt greedy releasing the grip on my waist to eat it all up. But I couldn't. We had a 'to go' bag. Everything was excellent, the music, even the bathroom was clean and organized. Pizzas are OK, nothing spectacular. With my allium , allergies, I am not able to review all of the appetizers that were served but the wings looked spectacular. MENU: Three choices on our group menu: sliced steak, chicken marsala, or broiled salmon. The sides were rice or garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The waitress was thorough and pleasant- she assured that my food did not have any garlic or onion products on it. The salmon was cooked perfectly - tender and moist with a generous portion a top amount of fresh green beans. My table mate was very pleased with her sliced steak Prepared to a perfect medium rare. THE SETTING: a log cabin, inside and out - cozy, moody atmosphere, with a casual vibe and bustling during the lunch hour. “My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. If you're in the Locust Valley area please make some time and try the new LVI Bistro. The service, the food and the atmosphere is great for a meal with two or ten people. “It's Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were in the Glen Head and Sea Cliff area. We decided to have a light lunch locally. My wife had been to Gallagher's Pub in Sea Cliff the previous night with her girlfriends and thought they had great food. We walked in to a quaint Irish pub and were greeted by Marcus. He smiled and remembered my wife from the night before. We sat down and viewed the menu. Nice selection of food and drinks. We ordered some drinks. My wife had a soda and I had Smithwick beer. A good Irish ale. We decided on the French onion soup. It was served hot and was delicious! We ate and talked and some of our friends came in and visited with them. Good times. My wife was full after the soup , so she ordered some French fries. I ordered a buffalo chicken burger with onion rings. I thought I try something different the chicken burger was great and the onion rings were perfect. We enjoy our meal and visiting with our friends. Marcus gave us a tray for our leftover with a note on the cover. See the photos. It seems Marcus adds a special note to his customers. This was a nice and unexpected surprise. We enjoyed our time at Gallagher's. The wait service was excellent, the food was great and the atmosphere was friendly. I strongly recommend Gallagher's Pub.
