“Ordered takeout for a Thursday night dinner for my family and everyone was very happy. I had the steak dinner which was phenomenal. I also took a small taste of the cod and salmon. FRESH and DELISH. All of it. Meatballs, sausage, broccoli, white clam pasta- all were top grade delicious. Chef Joe was at the bar when I came to pick up the food. I could tell he really cares about his food quality/restaurant. Amazing what you can do with food. Fantastic food and experience. I'm a fan.“

“I went here for lunch on a week day with a friend. The staff immediately helped us with the door because I'm in a wheelchair. The place was pretty empty except for a group of old men in their seventies and eighties. I ordered the veal meatballs and the fig and goat cheese flatbread which was exquisite. They have a fantastic drink menu and their service is impeccable!“

There was a real variety of clientele from dates to families to a private event going on in their wine room (well-separated from the restaurant, just got a peek). “This is the second time we have been there. Both experiences were very good. the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was fairly quiet but we were there for an early dinner. This time we ordered the mixed grill for two. Included were American rib lamb chops, shrimp, sausage, and meatballs. It was delicious and there was plenty of it. The soup of the day was a carrot soup, very tasty. we finished with tea and coffee as there was no room for dessert. We'll definitely go back.“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“Had lunch here on a Wednesday with my aunts. Seafood dishes were delicious. The hot chocolate was ok, a little too sweet for us, but not as rich as we expected. The staff was nice and attentive without being over-bearing. Fine atmosphere for conversation. Would highly recommend for well-prepared foods, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere.“

“First off, what can I say about the wonderful wait staff. The hostess, Ronnie, was top notch sweet! Then my waitress, Eddy, kept offering us water to keep our thirst quenched. I was utterly happy. “The atmosphere and service was fantastic, as usual. I must say, the food was not as tasty as previous visits to Underhill. Both the pork chop and roasted chicken (usually my favorite) entrees were dry and skimpy and the salad as a starter was tiny. We definitely got hit with a dose of "shrinkflation".“

“I am a City Island resident and I find thw Black Whale to be a gem on the island. Their eclectic manu has many excellent choices. Amoung my favorites are the cuban sandwich (excellent marinated pernil), the chicken cordon bleu (the sauce is to die for), the penne ala vodka and the lobster oreganata. It has a welcoming and cozy atmosphere far from the noisy drunken crouds in many other spots on the island. The staff is attentive and friendly.“

“The place is nice, we went to eat but they closed the kitchen at 10 and we arrived at 10:15 but we stayed to drink in the bar area and it gets cool. The drinks are more than 20 and for me it's not worth it. alcohol but it's nice to turn around“

“I celebrated my birthday with my family here yesterday. I can't praise everyone enough for the kindness, attentiveness and attention to detail. Mary had taken my information on the phone and all was prepared when we arrived. Her greeting and treatment of us made my guests think we were special indeed despite my never having met her before. My husband is in a wheelchair and special attention was paid to where we were seated so that all were comfortable. The table, near the front window, was spacious and comfortable with wonderful lighting. The food was excellent as it always is. We had two of the special appetizers, the asparagus soup and the artichokes which were very good. For dessert, management provided a chocolate bread pudding with a candle which we proceeded to devour. Didn't have time to take a picture, because we ate it so fast. By prearrangement, the bill never came. Mary simply pressed the receipt into my hand as she handed me my take "home bag". My children were truly surprised by the seamless exchange. They had planned to treat 5 stars are inadequate for this restaurant.“

“Aries birthday celebrations continued this last Saturday evening, 30th March, at the fabulous KEE Oyster House in White Plains. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and taken care of the entire time. We began with Sonoma Saint Francis Chardonnay, with a splendid array of plump East Coast Oysters, an order of delicious Oysters Rockefeller, and hubs enjoyed his yummy New England clam chowder as he did in 2019. Entrees of: Blackened Tuna with Lime sauce, a silky Grilled Salmon Filet Beurre Blanc with pearls of Salmon Roe, and a large Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken strips. “I can’t say enough good things about Modern on the Rails for my daughter’s bridal shower brunch. I had great feedback on the venue and the delicious food. The staff was attentive and so helpful, my guest’s drinks as well as the buffet selections were constantly filled. The atmosphere is unique and so pretty with exposed brick and beautiful chandeliers. I. borrowed their cart to do a bouquet bar that turned out to be a hit with everyone. The shower was everything the bride to be had hoped for. Thank you to Lori, John, Julianna and Kevin for making this an stress-free, perfect day for us.“

“I just went here for a lunch meeting with a colleague. My friend and bartender/beverage director of EastEnd, Tim Bellantoni, told me they have one of the best burgers in Greenwich. He wasn't lying. For a single patty burger it was hearty without being too heavy and a great ratio of meat to bun (Kyle Inserra's words). It almost tasted like an elevated big mac. “You check in with the host just like a regular restaurant. When you go in it looks like a small cafeteria turned restaurant. You could see the chefs in the kitchen with the front of staff being students as well. My first course was a chickpea, onion, and peach tart. I have never had anything like it and loved it. Would totally order again. The salmon was served over a lemon sauce which was great. The salmon could have used a minute longer but that's personal preference as I like it cooked a bit more. Lastly I had their take on a Boston crème doughnut. It was a round chocolate mousse cake with crème filling around the outside. For $30'i highly recommend coming.“

“A must go on Gun Hill Road for Jerk Chicken. I was not disappointed, very favorable and tasty. Some place say they are great a jerk chicken but are not, but this is well done and very friendly staff. I came at closing by accident and the associate stopped me from leaving and just simply asked what was I planning on getting and further told me to wait and got my order taken care off.The location has outside eating and inside standing. It’s at the corner, and near a bus lane, so watch out where you park, but there is a lot of areas to park.Food was so good, it’s not my late night spot for Rice and Peas, and Jerk Chicken.I like the aesthetic and color tone. They could do a better job advertising the menu, and display of food, but overall I had a good experience and treated very well. If you don’t believe me, go and buy a nice small or medium jerk chicken and rice and peas.“
