“Big group of us (over 20) called in for breakfast before a match in Gaelic Park. Service, cleanliness and staff hospitality were second to none, before I even mention the food. Breakfast was so good we called back after the match for dinner. Even though it was very busy the staff, accommodated us and the food was excellent, would highly recommend for both food quality and price. Special mention to Danielle who couldn't do enough to make our two visits to the Whlistin Donkey very worth while.“

“Food was good. The service was not. Our waitress did not smile much. She was playing with her cell phone when I approached to the service desk with computer and other billing stuff. She name starts with a C.I observed how she treated other customers, she was not warm nor smile either. I told myself, it was not me.“

“Met owner Joe and his Son and staff 1st time I went in and because I was looking for answers about my uncle that I hadn’t seen in a long time but I figured he hung out in this really nice cool looking Irish pub being that he is from Ireland! Joe and his son and staff answered so many questions, and I had a delicious pretzel and drink while they helped me more ways than I can thank them!! I consider them my new Besty‘s and I will be visiting them all the way from Long Island, but it will be the quickest 1 hour ride of my life I hope.lol I took the time last night when I got home after midnight to look at the website, I cannot believe the size of the place and how many people it potentially holds and I’m curious to see this coming Sunday St. Patrick’s Day —I am sure it will be packed to the rafters!! Joe was nice enough to take my phone number and he’s going to be in touch with me for some more personal reasons — but they were very busy and he patiently sat with me for hours -making phone call after phone call to try and locate some of my uncles buddies that might be able to answer some more of my questions!??? Joe and family and staff -WE thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will never forget you and we hope to be lifelong friends. Love the Bracken-Brady-Conlon families!! “Oldest bar in the Bronx, bartender and all the regulars rule. Great drinks, borderline best value-for-the-drink on the basics in the whole friggin' city. I couldn't get ahold of anyone via phone or online to confirm they were open at 8 am like Yelp said (they were, turns out!), otherwise I would have been there earlier.“

“Despite its proximity to the train and its potential for takeover by transient out-of-towners (myself included), Village Station feels like one of the most well-worn and solidly-established neighborhood bars for miles. Behind the taps, Nicole serves 20-30 people solo like it’s nothing - not just pouring the tastiest $6 pints during happy hour, but remembering names, greeting regulars by name as they walk in, cashing checks, all, seemingly at once. Don’t be fooled by the reasonable prices. The wings are stupidly delicious, and though I haven’t tried everything on the menu, I’ve walked past enough tables to get a divine whiff of just about every dish on the menu. Pub grub of the most delicious kind served next to folks from every profession, who’ll chat sports, work, or leave you in peace - whatever floats your boat. Skip every pub on Mamaroneck Avenue for Village Station… just remember to cash out (and tip well) before your train pulls in!“
“Beautiful Irish bar in the Bx. I was there to play darts one night. I shoot in a league so we travel around. Dart board on site of course, and away from most people so you can play in peace. The drinks are reasonably priced as well and the bartenders are good too.“

“Stopped by for lunch this past Sunday with my family. I was told that they have a Cuban sandwich on the menu. As a Cuban American, I was intrigued. It's an Irish restaurant, how good can it be? Unfortunately, they were only serving the brunch menu and the sandwich wasn't on it . When I mentioned to our waitress that I was there to try their Cuban sandwich she immediately went to the kitchen and thankfully was able to get it made for me. I was pleasantly surprised, the sandwich was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned and the Swiss cheese was melted nicely. My wife and kids all had a burger and I tried my wife's. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Next time I am ordering one. Overall, the service was great, and everyone was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend .“
