“I ordered Musubi. It didn’t look like on a picture, but tasted pretty good. Prices inside cheaper then ordering to go (maybe it’s like this everywhere, but that’s what I noticed). I was waiting for a while for my order even though place was not busy. I would come back to try poke bowl if I would be in the area, but wouldn’t drive there just for the food.“
“I've been here three times with three different groups of friends and they've all loved this place. I always get sushi however one person I went with didn't eat sushi, but he loved the General Tso's chicken. They have a great assortment and diversity of selections on their menu. Their sushi is very fresh, beautifully presented and melts in your mouth. There are plenty of cooked options as well for people who do not eat sushi. The ambience is nice with a smaller sized dining room, and the service is outstanding. It's nice because the servers are on top of your meal/order without being on top of your table. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again.“

“Staff here is very friendly. I got the chicken katsu bento and it was...just ok. Chicken was perfect, but the rice was super mushy. The miso soup was obviously from a ready mix and had those tiny little completely uniform freeze-dried tofu pieces. Ebi Mayo/rock shrimp was better, but tiny portion. Kani salad had more lettuce than crab and didn't have crunchy panko on top. They're also really cheap with the sauces here. Overall it'll satisfy your cravings, but don't expect to be blown away. I honestly feel they're overpriced for the quality served.“
“Def 5 stars for the fantastic sushi place. Kaji's food and ambiance was very nice with a large full bar and we always enjoyed our family dinner there. Kaji is the only one spot in GC that my family and I will go for Japanese food for years and years. They have a pretty decent lunch menu and catering platter. Su & Sa for 2 or su for 2 are very fresh and great presentation which came with 2 special rolls. All lunches and entree come with soup and salad. Over all, we always had great service and the best sushi ever at kaji. Highly recommend to others. “Kohaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've been coming here for over 30 years. The owner and staff are always courteous and nice. The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise. It has eight pieces and is a delicious meal especially in the summer. I also like their delicately fried shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables and sauce. Before your meal, they bring out a vegetable appetizer which is nice. I highly recommend Kohaku for lunch or dinner as well at take out.“
“I think we are practically family with this business. We order a variety of foods that were very delicious. My new favorite lately would be the boneless spare ribs with the pork fried rice. The flavor and stickiness of the ribs and the deliciousness of the rice. Loved that the rice is never oily yet full of flavor. They are also very flexible and willing to customize many of the pairings for the dish which has been outstanding for my low carb endeavors every so often.“

“I went to visit my brother and mom, and we decided to try this place for the first time, we had take out, the food was very good but the shrimp in the entrées were small. We expected the shrimp to be larger especially for an entrée. I would recommend changing the entrée dishes to larger shrimps, and the portions were generous. I would go back and try other dishes.“

Flavors are spot on 5/5.General Tso Chicken - 4.9/5. It’s long strips of white meat chicken surrounded by a thick batter approximately 3-4mm thickness. It’s too thick, should be lightly coated, half meat and half batter. Outside is very crispy. The sauce is a bit sweet than I like.Thai Curry Chicken - 5/5. I usually don’t like this dish, my wife loves it. But with this dish, I couldn’t stop eating it. Flavor is 5/5, one of the best I had so far. Sauce is thicker than usual but I think it works for this dish, more flavor instead of the liquidity sauce other takeout places make it.Egg rolls. 4.0/5. Very crispy on outside. Flavor is 4.5/5. What makes this dish rated poorly is the filling, it’s mushy. Had far worse egg rolls but wish it wasn’t mushy. Flavor is certainly there.There are 3 tables for dine in, two 4 seaters, one 2 seater.If you dine in, you’ll get thick Dixie/Walmart generic quality disposable plates, not the flimsy pizza paper plates or styrofoam plates like many other places serve. Utensils also nice decent quality that you can actually use to cut meat with, not the thin plastic flimsy knives that bend.Service was top notch considering for a takeout place, guy brought out the food twice on a tray as it was ready. Other places just simply say food ready for pick up.“
