“If you're looking to get married in the Hudson Valley, you need to have it at Bad Seed. The staff are truly incredible, always going above and beyond during your wedding planning process all the way through the wedding. Throughout the planning period, the bad seed team were always available whenever we had questions or needed to figure out logistics. During our wedding day they we're constantly checking in on us to make sure that we we're having a great night and our guests raved about the kindness and care they showed to them throughout the night. Plus, the cider is truly the best you can find! Speaking on the venue space itself, you cannot find a more picturesque location! Set perfectly on their own orchard, you're surrounded by beautiful foliage as far as the eye can see! And the venue itself has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces that will charm all of your guests! We truly cannot think of a better place to have held our special day, and we're eternally grateful to Devin & the rest of the Bad Seed crew for making our day absolutely perfect! :)”

“We accidentally came upon Luigi’s Deli in Highland N.Y. My husband & I shared their Italian Combo sub…fresh arugula, provolone, prosciutto and many other toppings, it was fabulous! The kids got a slice of pizza (adjoining) we had to order 3 more slices! The gentleman who makes the pizza also made “Grandma’s” pizza slices which tasted exactly like my Nonnies pizza from years ago. You must try this hidden gem on Rt. 299. DELICIOUS!!”

“I took my parents out to the Hudson River Walkway and reached the Historic Hamlet. We got a little hungry and found this very cozy place. The food was awesome for like half of what you’d pay in NYC, and all folks there were super nice. Ate too much but we walked back lol.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. When we were there, there was a table of teenagers eating. Then the owner’s own (I think) grand children came in lol.”

“We had the buffalo chicken pizza, ham and pepperoni roll, and the ravioli dinner (yum, with mozzarella cheese and sauce on top). All were excellent. We did a pick-up order, and noticed when we got home that the salad was missing that went with the ravioli dinner. We called, and what seemed like only moments after I put down the phone, the doorbell rang with the salad and bread and apologies delivered -- great service!”

“Twice visited, twice got Chicken Salad. Why? bc it’s just plain awesome—can not improve their seasoning. And get it on a roll bc they’re generous! $9 for 2 meals worth. If you want to relax, there are generous sized tables in a clean, spacious cafe-like store.Oh! and twice taken care of by Ms. SF, who has born breeding. You can teach efficiency, which she is; but you cannot teach quiet graciousness. Even end of day as she attends to cleaning, you feel like you could stay all night.

“Regular at Pizza Mia, my favorite slot for a slice on a lunch break in Newburgh. Location is convenient and near places to shop. The creative slices are filling, tasty, and the people here care about their end product. Their service is always above and beyond. 100% recommend stopping in and trying a unique slice that catches your eye. You won’t be disappointed!”

“I have lived in the Hudson Valley for 4 years but never visited Dubois Farm until today and so glad I did as it was wonderful! It's so beautiful and what impressed me the most is how kind and helpful the staff was. We wandered into a roped off area after visiting the goats and a young man came up to let us know it was an area restricted for picking. Rather than make us go all the way back down the hill he let us take the short cut to the peach trees with a promise not to pick from the restricted trees. We ate lunch in the tavern, had a cold beer and walked around the pumpkin patch with our toddler grandson. It was very easy to pick the apples and peaches in about 10 minutes.
