They greet you when you come in and are the only employees there (so definitely have patience though their kindness makes up for any time waiting).Each time I’ve been there they’ve given us a complementary “starter” (2 pieces per person of a spicy, on-the-house sushi).Today we went for the lunch combo and that’s been our favorite so far since the price is good for what you get and I love that it comes with a choice of miso or salad (last time we went for dinner and I had their bulgolgi sushi which was amazing but I loved how fresh and filling their lunch special was while also being budget friendly).They even served us free dessert both times; a complementary (and beautifully cut) orange slice and half a mochi each (last time it was the vanilla mochi which I loved as it reminded me of an orange creamsicle with the orange slice but today’s was a matcha mocha that was absolutely delicious).We’ll definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: I had a sweet potato sushi roll that was so good! I also see they have avocado rolls and other rolls that are just surrounded by a single but delish vegetable.Kid-friendliness: There was a mom and her little toddler waiting for takeout; the owners not only gave them the complementary starter while they waited for their order but even a whole mochi to the toddler as she was waiting with her mom. The owners have the biggest hearts! ❤️”

“PHENOMENAL EATS!! We came here for a late lunch…every dish we ordered was stellar! We are always trying new restaurants and have eaten at quite a few Indian spots. Hands down, best one yet. the Chicken Tandoori was among of the best chicken I’ve had in my life. Was extremely fresh, came out steaming, and fell right off the bone beautifully. So juicy!! :) The service was also amazing, very humble business owner. If you want authentic and delicious flavors, for an affordable price this is a MUST try! We left so happy.”

“Delicious Cuban food and service! We had the smoked pork chops, boiled yucca, moros, black beans, oxtail, fried grouper, flounder in garlic sauce, and a salad. We also got ham croquettes and the extremes platter (Cuban antipasto) as an app. We cleaned almost everything on our plates due to how good it was, and also had some flan for dessert and churros and tres leches. The drinks were good and nicely spiked, we all liked the hurricane, mojito, and iced tea. Price was not bad for all that we had. Very good and will come back :)”

The food was absolutely amazing. We started with Fried Calamari, then got the Chinese Chicken Salad, truffle pizza and truffle fries. Everytime my water got low it was getting filled up instantly. If you’re visiting Long Island from out of town and need a good spot, I highly recommend.”

From the Buffalo wings to the mozzarella garlic bread, Greek salad, mozzarella sticks, and fires are part of my usual order. They need to take pizza off their name and the menu because that's the one thing they aren't good at maybe 20 years ago it was ok but not now lol. Service is always a plus and always friendly but they know me and recognize my voice no matter how long since I last ordered. Ambiance is kind of bodega style with a seated area. “The Blue Sky Deli is not called "Chopped Cheese Delicious" but the food and the staff have not changed. I wanted to have one of their Chopped Cheese sandwiches for dinner and it did not disappoint. The sandwich is now $8.00 so it is not as cheap as it was before. Still the sandwich, which is basically a chopped up double cheeseburger with spices on a hero roll that is pressed, is still excellent. It is a great sandwich and really filling. The sandwich really is delicious.”

The Hunan shrimp was impressively fresh, thought it fell short of the advertised spice level, as did the twice-cooked pork. But I have nothing but praise and maybe some exclamation points for the spare ribs, a meticulous rendition that may have used AI to devise an ideal formula of meat, sauce and smoke.”

Some of the short ribs were dry/overcooked. The latter 3 were okay, nothing beats real peking duck in buns. Wagyu beef meatballs just tasted like normal meatballs. The first roll on the menu (can't remember the name) was good. Onto hibachi- the steak was actually cooked correctly (medium or medium rare) since most chefs overcook it. They gave a ridiculous amount of fried rice and noodles like too much actually lol. The scallops weren't seared as much as we liked but cooked well and shrimp weren't overcooked either. Our chef was pretty funny and chill, he gave a good show. We also got sake for some of us who were 21+ and of course did the catching in our mouth of veggies. Other service was okay it was hard to get water though, they were hustling and running around though when we came.”

“I’m so confused by these reviews as I have been coming here for years, at different times, and for pretty much the same items but occasionally I get something different. Sometimes I’ll eat here once or twice a month, other times I may go like two months without eating the bell. Nonetheless.. the drive thru attendants are always so kind and the food is ALWAYS hot/fresh. I’ve only ever been missing an item twice in the last couple of years and it’s been an easy fix. I don’t ever go inside so I can’t speak to that unfortunately! The items I order each time vary but always come from the following list; quesadillas, chalupa supremes, tacos, Cinnabon delights, bean burritos, fries when they have them, and the Mexican pizza. I never ever have any issues!”

The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise. It has eight pieces and is a delicious meal especially in the summer. I also like their delicately fried shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables and sauce. Before your meal, they bring out a vegetable appetizer which is nice. I highly recommend Kohaku for lunch or dinner as well at take out.”
