Maria’s Sans Rival cake lives up to the meaning of its name, undoubtedly unrivaled. It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.
