“My first time coming in… I was greeted by two young ladies and they were very nice to me. I ordered the chicken soup to go (they have many different kinds on certain days). It was neatly packed and came with lime, chips and the best avocado sauce I’ve ever had!!It was delightful. Veggies were cooked well and so was the chicken. I certainly will be coming again.“

“I have passed by this particular restaurant on numerous occasions. And yesterday I decided to go inside to place an order. The decor of the restaurant was decent, the place wasn't a big restaurant. But they had seating in the back .I ordered a whole chicken with rice and beans, plantains a salad, and a few Peruvian green and white sauces. The chicken was seasoned just right ,beans and rice was on point, salad and plantains as well was tasty. The cashier was nice and courteous, and the prices weren't to high.“

I appreciate their hospitality and the food is so fresh and delicious. Make sure to order a pisco sour! “When I found out this family business is co-owned by a fellow Queens College Alum, I had to come!!! It's so inviting and the hostess (sister) was more than accommodating. We were seated quickly and we were able to see the menu both print and via QR Code. We (my husband and I) loved the drink we had as well as the Aji Galina and Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Extra sauces and a small corn based appetizer was given right away as well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom, which has a urinal and normal toilet, also ADA/wheelchair friendly. The music was excellent too. The fact that this is also family friendly is the ultimate selling point. There's something on the menu for everyone. I will definitely come back with my in laws! Forget about the fancy chairs, seats and decor...none of that here (the wall tapestry is actually amazing...though)... It's food packed with intelligent flavor, genuine spirit and love. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd go here any day over the millions of 'fancy' restaurants that look great, but have absolutely no soul, are generously rude to customers and serve insipid food. “Came in around 7 on a Friday night. Found parking s few blocks away. I’m not naive. I know it’s Brooklyn but the walk from the car to the spot was sketchy. Some kids aimed a colorful nerf/ water gun at me. I didn’t like that. But once inside all the riffraff of the block is forgotten. The lightning, the murals, and the decor have a really nice vibe. They had some music playing and the ambiance was chill. There was one other table occupied at the time and the space was nice and open with a spot in the back for live music I’m assuming. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and helped us with suggestions. She was able to accommodate our little side requests and chances to the menu.I order the fish tacos and the corn on the cob. I had the sangria/margarita drink which was super overpriced but good. The fish tacos were good not out of this world but a good size with a good amount of fish. I added some hot sauce and it hit the spot. The corn was flavorful and tasty. It was cut up into 3 pieces. My friend ordered the fried fish entree with a seafood crème sauce and substituted the rice for beans. Along with the montaditos (one beef, one chicken, and one veggie) and the passion fruit fizz for drinks. It was a good portion of food. She had lots to take home. It had oysters and crawfish. The sauce was delicious. The drink was strong and tasty. This spot was good. In the area, I’d def come back. There wasn’t a happy hour for Friday but other days sound good.“

The fried wontons (wonton frito), were crispy and the spiced meat filling was unique and delicious, as was the sweet dipping sauce. The lomo saltado entree was luscious, tender beef, tomato and red onion flavored with cilantro (which I don't always love) in brown gravy over French fries and with white rice too. My husband soaked up every bit of leftover gravy with his rice. The owners are friendly, but speak mostly Spanish, so be prepared to point if you don't speak any. “I ate here for the first time yesterday(1.22. 2024) around 4 pm. The waitress was courteous and knowledgeable about Peruvian dishes. I had in mind to order tallarínes verdes however she let me know they had seco de carne ( which not too many Peruvian restaurants have). I decided to try it and I was delighted. The meat was soft and fresh. She also offered hot drinks and to my surprised she offered Emoliente which is also another drink I have not found in Queens and it was delicious!I have always said it , a good restaurant depends on good chefs, the treatment is essential but the cooking crucial. “Rosa's Cafe is a quaint diner on 38th Ave serving Mexican and American breakfast and lunch favorites. The menu covers familiar ground and the prices are reasonable. I like the breakfast burrito with bacon, eggs, cheese, and home fries. Service is good and the food is filling.“

“The food here was so good. We tried the Jalea that comes with an amazing onion salsa, salchipapas, arroz chaufa pollo and chicken empanadas. The side sauces: aji verde and aji amarillo were so so delicious. The best part of all is that the chicken they serve is HALAL! The restaurant is very nice and neat. The host and the servers were so so sweet. As someone who doesn’t speak Spanish, I felt so welcome. I will be coming back for more!“

“Absolute best rotisserie chicken I have ever had. I have tried rotisserie chicken in many places, and this one beats them all. Every time I visit NY, I always have to stop by this place for dinner. I always get the Matador Combo, which includes a whole chicken, salchipapas, a salad, rice and beans, and plantains. That combo is good enough to serve 3-4 people; depending on how hungry you are. Furthermore, their sangrias are also great, both the white and red sangria. I recommend trying both of them.“

“Being a peruvian giving four stars is a huge deal for me. Especially considering I love cooking peruvian myself. I'd recommend their Lomo saltado a Peruvian must and their Arroz chaufa. Definitely get one of the Bundles if you're coming with a large party. Their aji is a bit lacking and they've raised their prices quite a bit over the years which is understandable but at the same time their service should reflect it to an extent. I work in the service industry and would expect better service basics. IE. More menu knowledge and friendlier service as well as water refills. With that being said I'd still recommend and enjoyed it having ordered out and dined in dozens of times.Vegetarian options: Salads your usual.Parking: It's right on queens blvd so parking is trickyKid-friendliness: Defintely kid friendly fries chicken not too complex“

“The BEST rotisserie chicken in Elmont! Even my vegetarian family members rave about the smell alone in the car when we get takeout rotisserie chicken and say it's the only time they've considered eating meat again. It is well seasoned and though it's getting pricey, the chicken is consistently good. The place is small but clean and the staff aren't necessarily chatty but not rude. I always miss this chicken when away from Elmont. Haven't ventured into the rest of the menu, but the chicken with rice and beans is my go-to.“
