“Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“
“I love this place. I went for brunch with a couple friends and got the bottomless Mimosa option. Drinks were flowing, food was delicious, and the service was phenomenal. I still recommend the tres leches french toast. Don't forget to mix your mimosa flavors like cranberry and pineapple. I recommend for a weekend brunch.“

The appetizer and the food came quickly but not unreasonably so. They seemed to have the timing down. We had fish tacos which were good, but not exceptional. I had a steak which was delicious and cooked as ordered. The twice baked potato was so so. It didn't match the quality of my steak or vegetables. My wife had a simple beet salad which h she enjoyed. Bill came quickly when requested. We will return again.“

Lovely atmosphere apart from the family of irish gypsies that were constantly yelling in what I presume is some dialect of an early primative celtic language, it was difficult to decipher but i believe they were saying "up degans"??? I am not sure of the context but i believe it was some form of a battle cry, similar to how the maori people perform the 'haka' before going into battle.Other than that i highly enjoyed my visit and i hope to be back soon. “The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“

The bar area has all the bottle lit up , the walls have great artwork and as you walk further back there's a little lounge seating with a dart board. But wait there's more , now you open the door in the back and there's a huge backyard setup as a lounge with beautiful fire lamps for warmth , there's couches and a pool table , and they offer hookah service . “This is by far one of the chillest spots I've been to in Sunnyside in a long time. I can't believe I used to walk past this place and never went in. We strolled in on a brisk Saturday night. We got lucky because karokee is held there on Saturdays. If you're with a big group, I recommend sitting in the front area because there is a big table. The big table is right next to the bar, which is perfect. The price for the night was only like $50 and was way cheaper than other bars I've been to in the past few years. The bartenders were extremely nice. The drinks were pretty strong, and wow, the green tea shots were delicious. ::bathroom alert:: This place has two stalls in the women's bathroom. Only 3 people can fit in the bathroom at once. The sink is in the corner and super tiny. You may have to wait outside the door instead of in the bathroom because everyone is friendly in the bathroom when they are drunk. Unfortunately, there isn't any food at this bar. But the good news is that there was a taco truck right outside. You're able to bring the food into the bar, which is a huge plus. But damn those tacos are delicious. This is definitely a great place to come with a group or to come with a date if you're on a budget.“
“Great dive bar right next to the 30th St subway stop. When my friends and I noticed they had $3 PBRs, we were sold. Bartender also gave us a buyback on our 3rd beer! Too bad they didn't serve any food though. Very mixed crowd of all ages. They have bands on weekends sometimes and I noticed they had a sign indicating live Bluegrass Sundays. If they ever got a jukebox that only played Irish and bluegrass music, then I would give them 5 stars. But, had to take away a star for the crappy music some people were playing on the jukebox.“

My husband had Guinness Half and half, and I struggled because there were no sours on tap or in cans. I read the draft list more carefully and selected a Down East Cider after having a taste. It was a good choice with a strong apple flavor, a little carbonation and a medium sweetness The menu looked good and the specials sounded nice and next time we will give it a try. On this day, I was invited to a business lunch and I normally don't order the steak but I took a chance. Not a great choice. Steak was subpar. I always order my steak medium. It wasn't flavorful. Green Beans and Yukon Mashed Potatoes were ok. The problem was everything came out the kitchen lukewarm and not hot. I've had plenty of steak from different restaurants and this was probably the worst. Outside of this experience, I always enjoy my time there. Not only did Kathy and Caesar allow me to do so, they were kind, conversational and lovely. It is what it advertises and I can't wait to Go back again. Apparently there is good pizza next door that they let you bring in, but the drinks are reasonable and the patrons are delightful. We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us! They were amazed by how hard working the owner of this bar was. I have worked as a bartender for years and I could tell this owner is doing the absolute best he can with all off the curve balls Covid has thrown at him. Covid has been rough for all bar owners but NYC has been hit really really hard. The night we went the owner was there training a brand new bartender and still serving everyone at the packed bar. Everyone trying to get drinks before the 11:00 closing time, per usual complaining that the bartender was new, that nothing was fast enough for them. Also complaining about covid rules that no one can control. Again, as bartender I could see how maxed out the owner was and how hard him and the new bartender were working. People will be impatient and complain about anything, especially now (which is the WORST) God I hate that. This place will definitely continue to get my business again and I will take all of my friends there anytime I can.“
