“Balanced Bite is in the former Flourish location on Broadway in Lancaster and oh my goodness !!! their food is FABULOUS!!!!! All vegan. No processed oil, sugar or salt.... Their breakfast sandwiches are divine! Everyone who works there is friendly and fun and in the back is an incredible chef who went to the NYC Culinary School and rumor has it he was offered a job in a Michelin Star vegan restaurant in NYC and turned it down to come work in Lancaster! Their vegan Buffalo Wing soup is out of this world!! I always order their meal prep. Five awesome meals...big enough to share! Always delicious! Their hours are limited to Friday & Saturday. They have a great breakfast & lunch menu. Plus a deli case full of wonderful vegan things like vegan "egg" salad, "chicken" salad made from chick peas, hummus, "cheese" for nachos..they also have amazing smoothies & great coffee. Nice selection of healthy baked goods like muffins and cookies and fantastic sour dough bread! It's a tiny place with maybe 6 tables and chairs...it's charming. For healthy eating that tastes phenomenal... THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!”

“We visited Lilly Belle to see one very special band, Shaky Stage. Mead isn't one of our favorite drinks but we decided to give it a try. Visiting during "Restaurant Week" we opted for a restaurant week deal: 1-flight of mead (4 samples) and trusted the bartender to give a good choice. Not exactly sure of the names, but we believe we tried "Bobby", "Vintage", "Solstice", and "Black Magic". The Solstice was the one with a great strawberry charm that we liked best. We chased the flight with a glass of Rusty Nickle Brewing-Horns Up Belgian Single Ale; also quite good. The deal also included a small plate of "Famous Corned Beef Nacho" which is kettle chips toasted with Swiss cheese, corn beef, and topped with house made vinegar based coleslaw, bread and butter pickles, and thousand island dressing. It was a little messy to eat. The chips were quite small: maybe not meant for hand serving like Scoops would be. They did give one fork that my husband and I shared. The singlet eating plates were quaint and go figure, they each were of bee decoration. Our price for the evening was a mere $25.00. Quite excellent for a few drinks, snacker plate, AND a great band to listen to. The seating is also quite comfortable. Tall tables with backed tall stools. A garage door at the front of the store opened and let in great fresh air on a mild evening. The lights downtown and in the trees made for a magical walk along the town, and the lighting provided a safe walk.”

“Our first time. We're "locals". We will DEFINITELY be frequenting! Had the Shep' Pie. Let me just say, mmm mmm MMM! The beef just melted and the sauce was exquisite! The veggies were perfectly cooked and everything was seasoned JUST RIGHT! No extra salt OR pepper needed!!! Other party members ENJOYED the thinger tenders, and thinger sandwich. (* explanation below)Their list of sauces is just WOW! It can be found on the chalkboard on the wall. ;) The fries, fresh cut of course (delightfully, a common theme of the menu!) Soups were PIPING hot! Also very, VERY good! We will definitely return and sample other items. * - Thinger - the are fresh made and not prepackaged. Party members indicated it was dark meat (thighs) or maybe a 50/50? I can not personally attest to that.”

“A must try!!! Just stopped in because we searched local cafes - best decision!! I had the jalapeño cheese bagel and my nephew had the everything bagel. Both toasted with cream cheese. They were so soft and flavorful. I also had a cup of coffee. Everything was an AMAZING price. Staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back.”

“We recently visited the Clarksburg Taproom to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Everything was great. Our table was ready when we arrived. We all had various kinds of cider and they were all delicious. We had an assortment of their pizzas and loved them all. We had the cauliflower crust on all of them, as we have some people with gluten sensitivity. Our server was very attentive and pleasant.”
