“Ordered takeout for a Thursday night dinner for my family and everyone was very happy. I had the steak dinner which was phenomenal. I also took a small taste of the cod and salmon. FRESH and DELISH. All of it. Meatballs, sausage, broccoli, white clam pasta- all were top grade delicious. Chef Joe was at the bar when I came to pick up the food. I could tell he really cares about his food quality/restaurant. Amazing what you can do with food. Fantastic food and experience. I'm a fan.“
“Called the restaurant at about 8pm for an 8:15pm dinner reservation. The awesome manager told me he was going to make it happen.. Got in with my family of seven and was quickly greated by a wonderful host who I later found out wasn't the host but the fiancee to the manager. She was so sweet and made us feel welcomed even before we got a table. Once we sat down, the service was fast and topnotch, food was good and drinks was hitting...Definitely going back again and again..Kid-friendliness: My kids had a good tim, they had fries and chicken tenders that was well made“
“Upscale dining room with comfortable upholster seats and a few private recessed tables behind curtains. Weekends are the only time I can dine out for lunch and it's becoming increasingly difficult to find a restaurant serving a lunch menu on Saturdays. They are either not open for lunch or only serve brunch. Both my friend and I wanted more than eggs and pancakes, so the Townhouse fit our requirement. Also was swayed by the easy commute and free onsite parking which is rare in Greenwich. Service was attentive without being intrusive. For most of our dining we were the only ones in the restaurant until midway through our entrée a table of three entered. Saw wait staff setting up large tables for dinner service. They offer ala care or 2 or 3 course prix fixe menu. For the 2 -course meal the first course offers 2 different salads and the main is either a fish, pasta or steak dish, none of which appealed to us. If you choose the 3-course meal a selection of two desserts is available. We both opted for ala carte. A pasta and a fish dish with us both starting with the Caesar salad. The salad dressing was creamy and tasty. A large focaccia crouton was placed on top of the salad. While the salad was good, I noticed a few leaves that had brown spots down the middle of the leaf. I pushed those aside. Not many but I noticed them. My friend had the Oreccheitte short rib ragu, pancetta, broccoli rabe, grana padana ($29). There was no broccoli rabe in her pasta bowl (zero). She did enjoy her dish. I ordered the miso marinated cod accompanied by several small slices of shiitake, bok choy and shishitos peppers in a soy beurre blanc sauce. I eat a lot of Asian food so was surprised that the sauce tasted more like a Marsala then Asian which would have been my preference given the dishes description. The three pieces of cod were flaky and moist. There were a couple of salads that you could add protein at an additional cost and a burger for $24. Otherwise, in my option the menu swings more to dinner options and pricing. The Cod was $41and Caesar salad was $15 which is the same price as dinner. We enjoyed the ambience and service. The food was good. A menu with more choices or a couple of weekend specials would entice me to return for lunch.“
“Canoe was a great find! The reviews were right - the food and ambience was perfect. My husband and I sat at the bar and we had a great time! The bartenders were knowledgeable and helped us with the menu. Kept the flow really nicely and we didn't feel rushed or anything. Highly recommend!“
“Joey's Sports Bar & Grill is the best bar in the New York area. Neighbors, friends, and the community get together, laugh, enjoy themselves, and listen to live music in this warm friendly atmosphere that feels like home. Food is great, drinks are great, and the service is great. Tuesday, Thursday night jams with bands and Fridays, Saturdays bands play. Joey’s has got it going on.“
“The atmosphere and service was fantastic, as usual. I must say, the food was not as tasty as previous visits to Underhill. Both the pork chop and roasted chicken (usually my favorite) entrees were dry and skimpy and the salad as a starter was tiny. We definitely got hit with a dose of "shrinkflation".“
“First off the ambiance is on point, so chill, clean and welcoming. We began with a few appetizers, followed by pizzas and main course- we were speechless! The flavors were exceptional and our waiter Carmine kept checking in to make sure were happy with our experience there. I highly highly recommend this place! Haven't been this impressed in quite some time.“
“Stopped in for a quick takeout order on a weeknight, the staff were very attentive and provided great service.Food:- Kai burger: SO good!! Highly recommend. Really good flavor and ratio of meat and cheese and toppings. Best part of the meal.- onion rings: these were okay, but I think it was due to the delay in getting home and eating them. The sauce was good and and breading indicated they’d be good fresh. Could benefit from having more in the order.- soup dumplings: very tasty, still warm when I got home with them. Had a lot of meat packed in.Had a little mishap with the shrimp dumplings, but the staff was proactive and made the situation right. Food was out quick. Give this place a try if you’ve got a hankering for some comfort food.“
“They do not sell food, beer and wine only. They make a mean frozen sangria! I never have a problem getting a seat and the bartender remembered me! Cool spot.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get into the market, there are no stairs. It might be a little difficult to navigate once inside. The spaces between the different vendors can be narrow.“
“I recently dined at Black Whale, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm ambiance that instantly made me feel at ease. The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let's talk about the food - oh, it was a culinary masterpiece! Each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. The restaurant itself was a gem, with stylish decor and a cozy atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a gathering with friends and family, this place ticks all the boxes. Without a doubt, it deserves a perfect 10/10 rating.“
“I’m a former fine dining bartender, so I might have slightly different expectations than the average patron. I also live a few blocks from NYBG, have been a Member for going on 3 years, and yet have never been able to try this place because of limited hours and I think it’s fantastic! When I came in the restaurant was slammed and everyone really was doing their best to keep everything running smoothly. The (I assume) floor manager got me a Campari (and grabbed a new bottle from the basement!) while I waited for a seat at the bar to open, which gave me a great view of the open kitchen to see how well everyone worked under pressure. It was beautiful to watch. Everyone who waited on me was incredibly polite, generous, accommodating, and lovely.I had the lamb tagliatelle and the garden salad along with a glass of the Four Graces Pinot Noir, which paired very nicely with both. The mushroom in the tagliatelle ragu really shines through, which I loved. The salad was fresh and bright, and just a perfect opener. I can’t wait to come back and try the burger and the Cesar salad.Do I have criticism? Of course. The tag could have been more al dente, the espresso was a bit bitter, and I would love to see a better bar program. But, like, those are minor issues in the grand scheme of so many things to love about the place. It is perfect on a “Spring” day like today. This is a Botanical Garden’s restaurant. And it’s killer at that. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk“
“I can’t say enough good things about Modern on the Rails for my daughter’s bridal shower brunch. I had great feedback on the venue and the delicious food. The staff was attentive and so helpful, my guest’s drinks as well as the buffet selections were constantly filled. The atmosphere is unique and so pretty with exposed brick and beautiful chandeliers. I. borrowed their cart to do a bouquet bar that turned out to be a hit with everyone. The shower was everything the bride to be had hoped for. Thank you to Lori, John, Julianna and Kevin for making this an stress-free, perfect day for us.“
“I recently visited this place when my brother and I could not get in afew days before. It is a good place with a few options, even though the menu is slightly limited. However, this more of a place to drink than eat. Only problem with this place is that it is only open 5 hours (5pm to 10pm) everyday sonforget about getting brunch or lunch. As a result of that prices are up a little. Overall though, it is a good experience. It is worth the visit.“
“Always love going here! The ambience is welcoming, and the service is exceptional. We went with two of our friends, and sat at a lovely table in the corner upstairs. The lighting and the atmosphere was excellent, and conducive to great conversation. The baked brie and Braz short ribs are always my faves and did not disappoint! our waiter was excellent, and attentive. Can't wait to come back!“
“What a great place I never knew existed. Honestly I didn’t know what to expect. The menu was a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Different flavors that I didn’t expect like the sliders. The cheesesteak sandwich demolishes anything from Philadelphia! Will definitely be back again!“
“We ate here on a whim a few days ago and really enjoyed our experience. The staff was really friendly and accommodating, the food was great and we enjoyed good drinks. It's pretty loud so if you're trying to have intimate conversations, I'd go elsewhere.“
“The waiter we had was on point ! Even suggested we request songs cause he saw we was having a good time ! That was nice of him ! Love the rum punch drinks ! Only thing is we waited alittle cause all the hostess & waitress was smoking hookah at the back ?“
“I've only started to come here but for a bunch of different things. All great. I love karaoke, the live music was a lot of fun. I've eaten there twice. The chicken pot pie was great. And all the food at the private party I went was excellent too.“
“It had been awhile since we went to Wild Goose, and i am regretting all those meh dinners where i could have been thrilled. The food was unexpected and delicious! Thr service friendly and knowledgeable. Loved everything. Can't wait to go back.“
“I just wanna say if you don’t have SANDY as your waiter you are missing in out! Her energy is so good she is so nice she is one of the best waiters I have ever had all the food was delicious Sandy I wish you the best your amazing love to eat here burgers and onion rings are “
“Delightful example of where “the locals” eat, and highly recommend to tourists like me who really enjoy getting acquainted with communities that aren’t “touristy”. Marvelous service from Sonia and really really great food at great prices!“
“I just went here for a lunch meeting with a colleague. My friend and bartender/beverage director of EastEnd, Tim Bellantoni, told me they have one of the best burgers in Greenwich. He wasn't lying. For a single patty burger it was hearty without being too heavy and a great ratio of meat to bun (Kyle Inserra's words). It almost tasted like an elevated big mac. Love a phenomenal burger in a well furnished bar. It's a must try. Go check them out, Tell'em Mike Sent You.“
“best Fresh Italian food you can't get at a restaurant! my favors: meatballs, chicken marsalla, sauce and peppers, soups to die for so good like home made! the pasta are so fresh that it takes 3-4 minutes to cook. thankvyou Mercurio for my amazing lunch and dinner! there were nothing left on the plate for pictures, next time!“
“First time coming in and we will definitely be returning. Delicious gluten free options and nice variety of other quality items on menu. Francisco was super friendly and attentive and everything was timed perfectly for our early Sunday dinner. Great for both food sensitive eater and adventurous eater.Dietary restrictions: They accommodate gluten free and vegan eaters“
“Black Cat Cafe was awesome! Came in just as they were opening on a Sunday morning with my 2 year old. Service was great, and the person working was very accommodating of the young kid. Highly recommend getting breakfast here and then checking out the framers market just up the hill. Parent pro-tip, the Ivington location for the farmers market is right next to a playground.Kid-friendliness: I'm definitely calling this one kid friendly. They even had some toys on hand. Also, other patrons were not put off by the presence of a young kid.“
“I ordered on Ubereats and wanted to say thank you for wrapping the sandwiches in foil to keep them warm!!! Everything was hot and fresh which has never happened for me :) they have great vegan options and the staff acknowledges what is vegan and what isn’t. One time I ordered onion rings and said I was vegan and they wrote a kind note letting me know they weren’t vegan but still sent the food which I appreciated. Atmosphere at the location is super cozy as well !!“
“A must go on Gun Hill Road for Jerk Chicken. I was not disappointed, very favorable and tasty. Some place say they are great a jerk chicken but are not, but this is well done and very friendly staff. I came at closing by accident and the associate stopped me from leaving and just simply asked what was I planning on getting and further told me to wait and got my order taken care off.The location has outside eating and inside standing. It’s at the corner, and near a bus lane, so watch out where you park, but there is a lot of areas to park.Food was so good, it’s not my late night spot for Rice and Peas, and Jerk Chicken.I like the aesthetic and color tone. They could do a better job advertising the menu, and display of food, but overall I had a good experience and treated very well. If you don’t believe me, go and buy a nice small or medium jerk chicken and rice and peas.“
“My birthday celebration was a magical night that I will always remember. I met with Raj and Rekha to explain my vision of what I wanted my birthday to look like and to say to least I’m very particular. They listened and executed my vision by paying attention to the smallest details. My guests still rave about the food and cocktails. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was impeccable. They exceeded my expectations and I would definitely use this venue again for another special occasion.“
“My husband and I come here all the time, great customer service, cleanliness and food is superb, my husband always order the steamed beef and broccoli, I normally order the steamed vegetables with white rice and garlic sauce on the side. They never disappoint, will continue to come here.“
“White their prices are very hard to swallow, I appreciate the vegan options. This is the only place in the area we can get Impossible burgers and nuggets, so we will continue returning for that reason. The brussels sprouts are to die for. Fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings are all great as well. Try the aioli!“
“Always get take out, but ate in with a few friends on a busy Saturday. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions to my friends, and our food was delicious. I love the chips, but sometimes they can be a little too crispy/burnt…otherwise solid, good, not dietetic food!“
“La Casa de Frida emerges as a stellar happy hour destination, perfect for those seeking a swift libation. Boasting two distinct happy hour specials--running from 12 to 5 and another from 5 to 7--the spot delivers not only variety but also affordability. While the drink specials shine, the culinary offerings fall short of the happy hour pricing ethos, presenting full-priced wings, quesadillas, and tacos. Despite this culinary mismatch, the prospect of returning solely for the libations remains alluring. La Casa de Frida excels in crafting drinks that tantalize the taste buds, promising a delightful journey to tipsiness by the third round.Noteworthy is the commendable service; during our visit, my companion and I decided to explore a special $30 shot of Patron Alto, intrigued by its novelty. To our surprise, the establishment went above and beyond by generously gifting us another expensive shot on the house, acknowledging our curiosity and enhancing our overall experience. This gesture adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the visit, creating a positive memory that encourages a return for both the drinks and the exceptional service.“
“Santiago was a great server, he knew the menu very well, he recommended almost everything on the menu to the point we let him chose our meals and it was all wonderful. Everything was great, the service, the food came out in a timely matter, there was water ready at the table to quench our thirst. For 4 people spent $200, that's with an appetizer 2 entrees. We had a kid who had fries and someone who had a soup special and buffalo wings (they ate before getting there). No cocktails, 4 sodas; that's gratuity included. Overall, the ambiance is great, right by the train, across from the waters, plenty of parking.“
“This was my first time visiting Royal fusion and it was by far the best dine in experience I have ever received from any restaurants.me and my friends came in for a birthday party of 5 and we left with happy faces and happy belly’s, compliment to the chef much love.“
“The food is incredible and the service is amazing. Glen Cove is lucky to have this restaurant here. It has a real small town feel with city quality food. I strongly recommend giving The View a try and you'll be sure to be backParking: Easy parking near the entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: It's easy to get to the table if you have someone in the party with limited mobility.“
“February 1st, my first time eating here, and first impressions are important. When I walked in, it was spacious, clean, and busy. We got seated quickly and our hostess/ server ( I think her name was Martha or Marta. Im sorry if im saying it wrong) was great! She was friendly knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable! It was my sons birthday, and she contributed to his day by being kind. Thank you and I will come again.“
“Plates Catering recently catered my wedding reception on 6/17/23 in the White Plains area, and I have nothing but great things to say about my experience.Matt and his team at Plates Catering are consummate professionals and genuinely great people. They were extremely helpful and responsive when it came to figuring out how best to execute our desired menu according to our scale and budget, as well as guiding us through all necessary steps and considerations for our event's set up--at moments even putting in a little extra time beyond what we had originally contracted them for. The attention to detail put into the food and its presentation was evident long before it was even ready to serve, which really played a huge part in bringing this very special day together for myself, my spouse, and my beloved guests. At every step of the process, Plates was fully committed to making our event one that our guests would not forget. Most importantly, the food was absolutely spectacular: our guests repeatedly sang its praises, long after serving time had wrapped up.I would without a doubt turn to Plates again for any future events, and they would be the first choice I would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent caterer in the area (and honestly as far as they would be willing to work within the Tri-State area). Give them a call, you won't regret it!“
