“Everything here was a 10/10. Food was delicious. Service was super kind and super patient. Had planned a dinner with a friend for 630 but due to a mix up my guest arrived over an hour late. The staff members were super understanding and accommodating. I didn’t feel rushed at any point. Ordered the beef nachos as an appetizer and I could not stop myself from destroying 95% of the plate while waiting for my late party. Also got the Poor Man’s Beef Steak, everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. M&M milkshake is absolutely addicting. Their empanadas are to die for. I also adored the atmosphere. So kids friendly and just an overall great time. I cannot wait to return and I will definitely be suggesting this place to everyone in the future.“

“Really loved the food besides the lamb smelled a bit not strong. But we totally enjoyed it. I would recommend people to actually come to this location specifically and eat it. Because I had food from shah’s at queens location and that didn’t seem this tasty. The only problem I faced was with this hispanic server lady in this location who was hesitant to give us food. She was only putting less than half tablespoon of each item we were asking to give us for the platter. So we asked her to give more quantity. Later she said to me she should charge us more because we asked for one spoon of the food item. Otherwise, the man with the beard he was very good with his service that’s why I am giving three stars for him. He heated up the kofta we asked for. He properly served us the food. I think he is the manager and I wish him luck. I hope to see more people visiting this location for the amazing food.“

“We were pleasantly surprised to hear the Kababjees ownership acquired Aladin, the local confusing combination of a butcher and restaurant. With the introduction of a new menu came Shanghai Express, a Hakka-style basket of offerings within the menu selection. We ordered the classics that would take us across sweet, salty and both. The General Tso had the sweetness one would come to expect from the typically sweet & spicy dish, both chillies and sweet sauce served us well over the steamed rice. Despite being our favorite dish, the General Tso left a lot to be desired on the spicy side of the equation; the larger Desi community that frequents Hicksville eateries would agree. Going to the Sesame Chicken took us down candy lane, offering an overwhelmingly sweet dish many of us only picked up once. The old-as-time Chicken Manchurian visually presented itself as the most balanced and classical dish, yet suffered from the classic Desi-chinese issue of being oversalted. We looked for the best in the categories we were craving and we got what we wanted, but there's room for improvement. Considering the Shanghai Express menu is cooked fresh to order and is in it's infancy, there's already too much to like as-is to not be tempted for a revisit. Once the Aladin team hones in on it's flavor profiles, this will be the best Chinese spot east of Queens by miles.“

“You have to make reservations if you want to come to the restaurant. I wasn't expecting that the restaurant would be really small so I think it would be great for small parties with friends or family. The food I would say is kinda good and some of the foods we ordered was a miss. Personally I didn't enjoy the pasta that much but my friend really enjoyed it. We all really liked the empanadas (hard to find halal ones ;-;). I was not a fan of the rice and chicken because it was very dry. Maybe it is meant to be like that but I didn't like it being thag dry or at least offer some sauce. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was also really good. The owner was really nice and easy to talk to making the experience more nice and enjoyable. We also got to meet his wife who was also super sweet.“
“Came here by accident and it was the best decision my family and I made! SARA IS THE BEST!!! Great server, she made awesome food suggestions (our family and I had the dumplings, the tres leches and it was delicious), and overall made the atmosphere and the food a wonderful experience since she was so pleasant! As for the food the meat is absolutely tender—I mean falling off the bone, and you can tell that everything was made extremely fresh! I’d come here every day if I could! There are many protein options to pick, my favorites are the lamb, chicken, and falafel. I think the meat is always well-marinated and packed with flavors. They also recently added chapli as a protein option, which is a plus. I believe you can also order just the marinated chicken if you want to keep it refrigerated and make it at home (I need to confirm with the employees). There is a variety of toppings to choose, some I don’t see often at other halal places. I like adding hummus, chickpea, cucumber for different textures. Always order an extra pita. The sauces are great as well. Add 1 line of hot sauce if you are calm, add more if you want heat. Green sauce is great!The people: everyone has been very nice and polite whenever I’m here, so overall great energy. They open late too so they deserve the best for keeping it up.The space: Shah’s is mostly a delivery/pick-up restaurant but there are seatings with plenty of room for customers inside. It’s more like a chipotle system for ordering compared to restaurants-style ordering. It gives “we’re a successful halal truck turned restaurant” vibe. It’s simple and that’s what I like about it. “My family and I had an excellent experience at Theo Thai. After finding the restaurant on Muslim Foodies, we came same-day in the late afternoon.I myself ordered a steak with drunken udon doodles. All the noodle dishes tasted exceptional. However, the steak was bland in comparison.Moreover, the service here was 100% perfect. Two servers, a man and a woman, were extremely friendly. “Edit: after the management change their portion size has been much better and consistent almost all the times. The cashier guy is super friendly and welcoming.4 years agoI like their food and customer service but their portions of food are very little while the price is higher than other gyro places on the same street. Never going there anymore. Not worth for the money I am paying for. And not to forget the extra money they charge if you pay by cards. While other places are making it more convenient for people to use cards, here they are charging people extra for using cards. I'm very disappointed.“

“I got takeout for my family on a friday and the food was amazing. I went to pick it up, and there wasn’t a crowd. I don’t think there were any customers at all which was surprising for me. The charsi goat karahi wasnt that good honestly but Im really used to home cooked food so that might be a big reason. The tikka boti, malai boti, seekh kababs were amazing. I think it would taste even better if I had eaten in and ate it fresh. “It's in a gas station so the atmosphere is... Well there is none. You can go inside and order and sit down at the few tables and eat if you want. The woman at the counter is so nice and the food is delicious. We have had the gyro both times eating there but the menu shows many other options that look great to us.
