Haven't eaten in yet but have been happily getting takeout from this no frills, charming establishment for a couple of years. The tacos are the best in the neighbourhood - personal favourite is the carnitas which is always succulent and juicy. Great amount of meat in each taco too. If you have a touch of the munchies the mixed meat nachos hit the spot.Always love finding a local spot you can rely on!

Open way late. A go to in the neighborhood when other dining rooms are closed. Super authentic Mexican! Not the cheapest but the food more than makes up for it. The $3 tamales are best i ever had.

Went there for chips and salsa. They also do to-go margaritas! The outside looks unassuming but inside it has a very cute family ambiance. The menu is extensive. I will go back to try the food.

Located under the El on 31st in Astoria, this clean but cozy, dark, and loud establishment is like any good Mexican restaurant should be. My family and I came for lunch today, as some were first-timers, and we had the whole place to ourselves. We were greeted by the staff and seated promptly with Mexican wall decor and music blasting. We all decided on the combination platter, which was accompanied by Mexican rice and refried beans. Nacho chips with salsa started our meal. I decided on my hibiscus tea (agua de Jamaica), which was refreshing. The presentation was impeccable; however, sadly, they lacked savory seasoning. The waitress was on point; she magically showed up when needed. The price was affordable, but there was a separate cost for cash and cards. We had a nice time, but I don’t see returning soon.

Still have no clue how this place is is business, they definitely own the building. The food has gotten worse through out the years but it was always bland honestly. It’s great spot if you want a cheap quick sandwich. The service is probably worse than the dmv and all the servers are trash. Don’t bring your card because as you see from other reviews they’re scammers. So bring cash. 2/10 place

I gave four stars to the service because i rarely see the server.I’ve been a patron here about five times. The food is always good.Rice ✔️Tortillas ✔️Poultry and Meat ✔️very nice salsa and chips tooNot sure if any non-Mexicans consider this but, the salsa verde was not soggy or watery that for me is a sign that the staff know what they are doing.Overall friendly staff and great music.

A lot of issues with this Mexican restaurant A lot of issues with this Mexican restaurant. Service is poor slow, and they appear to be language barriers. I came here last Thursday. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and got back what looked like two burritos. The food was $16. It's safe to say I will not be back

The food was blanned and could tell they were annoyed with me, I thought I was going to get a burrito not a burrito and then refried beans and rice on the side ? With a heep of both sauces on top of the burrito (they never asked me I wanted sauces) , like how am I suppose to eat this like an actual burrito? Guess what you can't. The server also had an attitude, I was waiting for her and then she was just on the other side of the table giving me the hand gesture like come over here , that's no way to serve anyone. The place itself looks old and it seems like the people working there aren't happy and the head chef looks dissatisfied. I was extremely disappointed :/
