“I stumbled upon this place by accident while browsing the map, and it turned out to be an incredible culinary experience. The special summer menu was especially impressive. I tried the burrata, steak tartare, summer tomato soup, striped bass, and the Harvest Burger—every dish was delicious. Friendly staff and a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better.”

“Our first time here, based upon reviews and vicinity to our home. While the food was tasty, hot and nice portions, the service was terrific the overall atmosphere was lacking. It was excessively loud, small and cramped dining area. The seating should have been about 25 not the sqeezed in seating of 36, when we sat to ate.
I recommend reservations, like we had, to sit for dinner, even on a Sunday.
My wife had the pear & walnut salad, the fusilli pasta & sausage and Italian (made in-house) cheesecake. All were great. I had the watermelon & feta salad, salmon piccata with veggies and pistachio Gelato.

It is average market priced.
Clean environment, and bathroom, but the kitchen door to the dinning room should have remained closed.
We will try it again in the near future.”

“My sister loves this spot so had to check it out. Enjoyed their cara caramel latte and latte with vanilla malt syrup. Tons of pastries to choose from. Enjoyed their spinach feta as well as breakfast burrito. They sell merch and tons of other cute knickknacks. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy whatever you end up ordering. The coffee baristas were super nice. Will be back for more caffeine!! You can encounter long lines depending on what time you come in.”

“In a small town like Malverne, you only have three decent delis to choose from, and every morning it’s the same story, long lines. When you’re trying to grab breakfast before work, every minute counts. Add in a full parking lot, no spots out front, and now you’re parking on the street risking a ticket. And if you live in Malverne, you know the “friendly” meter maid, he’s quick with those tickets. It sucks. I don’t think the owner of this deli realizes what we go through just trying to support a local business.
In my attempt to save time, I call my order in ahead. But if I still have to wait on line just to tell the counter guy I’m there for pickup, it defeats the whole purpose. Creating two lines would fix this: one for people who call ahead (like me, who’s late everywhere) and one for walk-ins. You’d streamline the phone order process, serve more customers, and make mornings a lot smoother. Funny enough, I had this same conversation with a few neighbors, and they said they skip buying breakfast in town altogether for this exact reason.

My second suggestion: have one person dedicated to charging customers. It doesn’t make sense for the guys behind the counter who are preparing food to put on rubber gloves, grab money, make change, and then go right back to handling food with the same gloves.

Besides that, when you do have time, enjoy the food because it’s great!”

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.”
